This restaurant was clearly having a rough night the night we went. It was the night before thanksgiving, but still. They seemed understaffed. I only saw two servers in the whole restaurant and while they were both kind and attentive, two can only do so much. My biggest gripe came with the menu. It wasn’t the menu pictured here, but a bare bones version of it. Not only were there half as many items, but it was only the more expensive items. This was not the restaurant we had budgeted for. I had the fried fish platter which, while decent, hardly justifies the $ 28 price tag. The tartar sauce was underwhelming. Tip: perhaps call ahead to see what version of the menu is offered that night. I would have loved to have eaten at the restaurant other reviewers here talk about. But last night just wasn’t its night.

This place was great. From the cocktails to the apps and the entrées. The pimento cheese app is unlike any I have had. A must do. The red snapper was fresh and perfectly cooked. A must visit

I don’t even know where to begin. Ceviche was advertised as a cold plate on a bed of tortilla chips. Uhhhh, no. It was six potato chips with a light fish topping. All for only 13 bucks. Only bright spot was the server. His chef and owner put him in a tough spot. Drive 2 miles and have a great dinner in Seaside.

Fuck this place. I have no idea if it is good because they aren’t open when they say they are. This happened twice. The first time was on the trip down to PCB. We got there about 1:45 on a Friday and they were closed. I figured they might have closed a little early for lunch(they are supposed to be open until 2:00). I was diss sponged because I heard they were good. We ended up going to a crappy taco place in Seaside instead. I decided to stop by for dinner on the way back to AL. I just stopped by on Sunday at 5:45. They are closed. No one in sight and no one to answer the phone. They are supposed to open at 5:00 and have happy hour from 5:00 to 7:00. There is seriously no where to eat near by, and we passed up eating at a great po-boy shop in PCB to come here. Thanks for making the last part of our beach trip shitty. I’ll be eating at McDonald’s on the highway home. Again. Fuck this place.

Although pretty good food and quality. Seafood platter was small for the $ 28 that I spent on it and I left the restaurant hungry. I would go to other places around the area such as the Red Bar, Great Southern, Louis Louis, or George’s. Also You only get Happy Hour if you sit at the bar. The hostess was very attractive and a really nice young woman.

We’re staying in Blue Mountain Beach this week and have enjoyed touring up and down 30-A! After checking out Seaside yesterday afternoon, we decided to escape the droves of people and head back toward Blue Mountain. I’m so glad we did! GBG was delicious. We gave it a solid A! The atmosphere is eclectic and fresh. It’s also a great place for well-mannered children. We arrived around 6pm and were one of 3 other tables in the restaurant. By the time we left, it was getting crowded. The food was incredible — certainly the best we’ve had here. I’ve included photos of the seafood platter, tun mignon(holy moly!), scallop pasta, and chicken pasta. We also shared the BBQ shrimp appetizer and pecan pie & buttermilk pies with delight. The service was great, as well. I highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting the SoWal beaches!

Been in Santa Rosa area all week with my family and to this point had only found one restaurant that was any good. I was pleased to find that Grayton B&G made up for that– it was by far the best meal We’ve had in Florida. Every appetizer we got, from the poke to the pimiento cheese(especially), was great. The appetizers were more of the same, my Snapper en Papillote was the best I’ve ever had. The key lime pie was also to die for. At the end of our meal, Chef Earles came and talked to our table and even gave my brother and me a tour around the kitchen. I couldn’t have been more impressed and I enjoyed every moment of the meal.

I got the red beans and rice. Overall, not good. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was very family friendly. The appetizers that we ordered were surprisingly good since I didn’t think I would like them. We got the pimento cheese and the conch fritters. Both had good qualities. I enjoyed the sweetness of the pimento cheese and the batter that was used for the fritters. Now the bad part. My entrée was nothing short of terrible. It lacked some serious flavor. The beans were also severely undercooked. Severely. My mom said the grouper sandwich was good. My wife didn’t enjoy her chicken pasta. Between my dish and my wife’s, we both agreed they were far too stingy with their meat rations. I had 3 inch and a half long pieces of sausage, while she had about six ice cube sized pieces of chicken in her massive bowl of pasta. All this being said, I would consider going back because I heard the grouper and the marlin were good. I should’ve gotten the marlin. Anyone that chooses to visit this place should pick the fresh seafood rather than pretty much anything else. It just wasn’t good at all.

Went to stinkys first, which is a great place but the wait was 40+ min wait. A local told us about GBG. We got there early(5:30). We were the only table in the house for 20 min. When we left. The wait was growing. It was great. The wife had the grilled grouper. Quit good. Only a little done for my taste. I got the whole head-on shrimp special. AWESOME. Even the kids were sucking the heads. The owner came out and talked to us. Said the shrimp dish was new. Created it the nite before due to a request. Wanted our opinion. He said I got these really wonderful huge U8 shrimp. We really wanted to do something special to justify the great quality and size. Great staff. Wonderful owner and really good food. You won’t go wrong Only one negative. The kids menu is expensive. The food was top notch. But a three year old doesn’t care about the the finer points if $ 9 Mac and cheese

Just spent a long weekend on Seagrove beach and Grayton Bar & Grill was my favorite meal thus far! Grayton has great ambience and a central bar area. We sat at the bar(Zach is a fabulous bartender) and enjoyed great drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The cocktails are fantastic and made with fresh juices/limes. I had a fabulous drink with gin, elderflower, lemon, and grapefruit. For round 2 the bartender added basil which was a great touch. Fish is the star of the show here — there’s a whole fish special each day and several other varieties. I had the crawfish etouffe with okra which was super flavorful. I also tasted the grouper which came with edamame & bacon and it was delicious. For appetizers, we tried the barbecue shrimp(excellent sauce) and the conch fritters(good, a little doughy). All in all, a great meal on 30-a!

I saw this place on Unilocal before I left Atlanta since I knew I’d be passing through. The pictures on thee website looked cool and I thought it looked like my kind of place. It was. Cool modern upscale casual coastal décor, good food, and warm and friendly service. Debbie was great. Their signature cocktails are interesting, I had a gin cocktail with elderflower and grapefruit that was a good starter with a dozen raw. My entrée was the daily fish, a meaty wahoo well prepared with a balance of sweetness and heat. They have a limited but solid wine list with enough choices by the bottle and glass. Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay went well with my fish. It’s kid-friendly, and the youngster with me enjoyed the fried shrimp and fries with some yellow jalapeño cornbread. Definitely try this place.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! From the place, staff and food. My grandparents have visit this place for years and know the owners pretty well. From the time we came in it just felt like at home, we got sited right away. I have recently become vegan and have some significant dietary restrictions and the menu is all meat, however the owner, Johnny, as soon as he found out about the fact that I was vegan he said he was going to make something for me. It was delicious, I had a yellow beet salad and then risotto with spinach and asparagus, it was all really good and tasty. My family got the pimento cheese for appetizer and then shrimp as entrée and they where really happy with it. We got two bottles of wine, and dessert, the perfect way to close the night. Love this place!

Although the server was attentive to our needs, the delay in the kitchen put a damper on the meal. A 40 minute wait for a small shrimp salad with watery dressing was a bit much. Especially for the price. of $ 15.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. The décor is done in modern, beach rustic, its well lit without being too bright and furniture is comfortable. More importantly, the food was good. People in my group ordered Gumbo, the Short Rib Burger with fries and the Grouper Sandwich with a side salad. I tasted everything and it was all very well done and delicious. Service was professional and courteous. The only knock on Grayton Bar & Grill is that the prices are a touch too high. Regardless, I’m looking forward to my next opportunity to dine there.

The«fresh cut«fries were not. Great Cold draft beer. The $ 14 grilled fish sandwiches were good and with a nice salad.

We stopped in for the ever-popular 3pm lunch. Quiet staff manned the place with some outta touch jams and surrounded by a meticulously eclectic décor. Attentive waiter, food was up quick, he left me a water pitcher(loooove), and then … food. Flat-out good eating. Rich, fresh, comfort food. I can appreciate perfectly grilled chicken, it’s no small feat. Idk what language cavatelli means Mac and Cheese in, but order it.

This place is somewhat deceiving… and I am no way referring to their food as it is delicious. If you stop by this place, you think its a surf shop like atmosphere, but once inside… its completely different. Its more of an eclectic atmosphere with a Caribbean feel. Whatever you get make sure to get the crab cakes. You get 2 of them and it’s basically an entrée and the appetizer section. The main course meals were good. I had the grouper, which is always fabulous in Florida. Our waitress was very nice and took good care of us.

Outstanding!!! Only open 4 months and it’s a gem. The grouper was the best I’ve had. Rib Eye and grouper presentation was excellent. Excellent wine list and a great meal. Friday’s, at 8:00, they have live music. Excellent service. I will try the crab cakes next time! Entrée’s are limited to just a few by the chef, with 3 fish items, a steak, and a couple others. Special was the swordfish. The grouper as well as the rib eye entrée runs about $ 25. They had great bottles of wine including a $ 24 bottle of cabernet. Not bad for a great meal. 5 stars, all the way.
