Big Daddy’s Bike Shop

Stopped in twice during recent visit to 30A for songwriters festival. Staff was great, took good care of us, made some repairs, picked up some new equipment for our year long RV/​bike trip and got some great advice. Even let us hang out in shop with our dog while repairs made. Can’t miss with this place!

Michelle set me up on the Kona BLAST and I certainly had a Blast on that bike! Loved it! Everyone was friendly at the shop and quite helpful. I loved the bike and the convenience of riding nearby trails. Thanks Big Daddy’s for a great ride and I look forward to getting one of your jerseys!

Great bike rental place around Santa Rosa beach. Staff were so friendly aside from the old lady assigned outside, so mean treated us as if it’s our first time to see a bike and a helmet. Don’t have much time to look for a perfect fit coz she told us whatever I gave you that’s it, if it doesn’t fit well just bring it back and we’ll change it, that’s why we’re there to fit the helmets right? And Oh lastly we have bikes in Asia too, as most of the bike frames are made in Asia too. To Big Daddy, always check the Blood sugar of that Old Mommy outside, she must have a Hypoglycemia, a good reason to be mean and rude to some customers. We rented 5 bikes for 3 days, we almost have cancelled it. Thanks to the lady cashier who was so patient and accommodating. We rented the bikes Monday morning for 3 days, they have it delivered late at night and have it pocked up Thursday 8:35 AM, isn’t it too early?

OMG they are the friendliest people. I walked up and had 2 bikes loaded and left within 15 minutes. Upon return, I was done in 3 minutes. Great prices too– $ 94 for 2 bikes/​3 full days.

Best bike shop around for all your biking needs!!! Peg and her staff are the greatest. Bikes for rent or sale. My family has used them for many years for our bike maintenance and they have never let us down, even bringing our own repaired bikes back to us at no charge. All biking supplies you could possibly dream of!

Don’t expect to actually get your rental, I didn’t get mine.
I made a rental reservation two months in advance, after finding Big Daddy’s on Unilocal.The woman on the phone took down my location, and request, and even made comments about how nice where we were staying was.
When I got to town I called to check if they could rent me a helmet as well, since I forgot mine. When I called I found out that they didn’t actually have a bike for me on the agreed on date. I’d have to wait an extra day. Also, if I wanted the bike I would have to drive to pick it up, as I was too far for them to deliver.
A rental agreement is a promise, and this shop broke their promise to me. Their only attempt to make any of this right was an offer of a free bike rack should I pick the bike up myself.
If I would have known, I would have just shipped my own bike. Because of this, I missed several workouts and was left in a lurch while spectating Ironman Florida.

BEST bike shop ever, they are great and i can not say that about all off them in this area. Stay away from Butterfly at all cost!
They are helpful, friendly and just do a great job. I travel to the area often and have used them a good bit, it is always the same great!

Needed a tire and there aren’t too many places to get anything for road bikes. This place was a great find. The staff was fun to talk to and really focused on us for the duration of the repair.

I’ll echo what others have said, this is the place to go if you’re looking to rent or purchase or service a bike along 30a. We have been «no charged» by them multiple times for minor fixes they do on the spot, extremely friendly, just can’t say enough good things about these guys.

If you need a REAL bike while at the beach then this is this is the place! I went in summer of 2014 for a family vacation and rented a Trek Madone 5.2 for the week. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rental cost included an expert fitting, pedals, helmet, and lock. During the fitting the mechanic swapped out the stem and adjusted the ride per my instructions. Great spot!!!

Really good rental equipment. I rented a Trek road bike. Judah spent 30 minutes on the fitting and then some more time telling me about good routes to ride. Overall a great experience.

Best bike shop in town with the best employees and most enjoyable atmosphere! Always fun!

We were visiting from out of town and needed a minor tune up on one of our bikes. We brought it in and 10 minutes later they told us it only needed a few minor things and charged us very little. Very impressed with their friendliness, speed and professionalism.

Wonderful staff, bikes, everything. Would never consider getting bikes anywhere else while here

Big Daddy’s a BIG success
Big Daddy’s was awesome. We were staying just down the street in a private house on the beach. I called them from home and they did the rest. When we arrived the bikes were locked up at the house and in perfect condition just as promised. They are NOT the cheapest but definitely the best value, and there is a difference. Thanks guys for all the help and for making our great vacation even better!

Most of the «bike shops» on our end of 30A are rental shops but we brought our own sleds. I was told by several rental shops that Big Daddy’s was the place to hit to pick up a handlebar can/​bottle holder for my cruiser.
Not only do they have a sweet selection of handlebar bottle holders (normally hard to find anywhere but online), but they are a full-​fledged bike sales and service shop. I didn’t have too much time to peruse the selection, but I noticed a large selection of women’s specific road bikes, 29ers, and a super phat Surly Pugsley out front.
While we were there, I had them tighten up my cruiser’s headset. They didn’t flinch at my Jamis’ wet and sandy condition. Good selection, good service, and all of this conveniently located near your beach house? Winner.
Because you are wondering, I landed on a Tiki-​idol coconut model. Baller.

Bike crisis on vacation!!! Where to go, where to go? We ended up at Big Daddy’s (twice). Great service and the owner was so generous with information especially knowing we weren’t local and therefore could not expect repeat business from us!
