Please read the reviews. BLANDBLANDBLAND. spicy is ok hot but with ZERO taste. How does that even happen. Had the Mongolian chicken. Chicken cooked well not dry but hardly any taste. They gave me some hot sauce but that should not be the source of taste. Noodles very well done moooosh. Pretty much inedible. Wasted $ 10.

Great food truck with amazing variety of selections! They are usually quick with the orders but sometimes can take awhile depending on what I get. Its one of those mom and pop kind of trucks with two old korean couple owning it. Been stopping by for years at santa monica! Love the shrimp tacos and those monster fries.

This truck was at the food truck row at the 2700 Pennsylvania ave and I’ve seen this truck several times over the years at different places so I thought I’ll give them a try. I got their beef burrito with the way they make it with the kimchee in it. Overall the burrito was okay and the meat was flavored fine. The tortilla didn’t really hold the burrito well and may have been a bit stale and dry as well. You would have to eat it with a fork and knife because that burrito will spill all over unless you kept it wrapped as you are eating it. There wasn’t anything extrodinary to say of my experience of this truck or their food for that matter. It was A-OK nothing more, nothing less.

I had a burrito here around a year ago, and thought it was good. This time it was pretty bad, which seems to correlate with the general direction that these reviews indicate their food is going. Their prices are expensive($ 7 for a burrito, and then when they ask you if you want everything, and you say yes, it’s $ 1 more). I asked for mine spicy. It was not at all. It is soggy and falling apart, with pretty much no flavor. I won’t be going back.

Calbi(at least the truck) has gone seriously downhill. This used to be my favorite burrito near USC, tasty meat and veggies with no rice. Now things are completely messed up, the chicken burrito was bland and packed with white rice, so then I tried the beef and I was worried I would hurt my teeth on all the chunks of bone! I guess they are off my list, which is sad, because they used to be awesome.

I had a fine experience at Cabli, except for the long wait and the mediocre fries. I was really hungry on the way to Santa Monica Pier, and Calbi’s was one of the few trucks lined up that intrigued me. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and my boyfriend got the chicken tacos. Shrimp tacos were ONPOINT and these tacos were really the only reason they got the third star from me. The two shrimp in each taco were HUGE and very well seasoned, and the shredded cheese tasted fresh. The chicken tacos were only okay, and the fries were blah. The service was friendly, but boy are they slooow. If you are really hungry, it may not be worth it to stand in the line. If you don’t mind, then I’d say Calbi’s is worth a try for those shrimp tacos!

Took 20 minutes to get my fries. Coke was warm. Missed my add ons for the fries. Service wasn’t great and the lady kept trying to add things to my order!

This used to be my favorite food truck in L.A. They would come to SCI-Arc occasionally and blow my mind with their beef tacos and quesadillas. So after an indulgence at Salt Air with my wife on Saturday night I was so elated to see Calbi along Abbott Kinney that I just had to force down a couple of tacos. I was so disappointed: no sesame seeds, an abundance of cheese, and huge chunks of chewy beef with bone chips buried inside. Get it together Calbi! I’ll return and hope to be able to change my rating, but for now I’m terribly disappointed.

Calbi Truck was great but just OK. Not to say that they were mediocre because they really would hit the spot if a certain other asian fusion taco truck were not nearby AHEM. I will say that since the truck is usually parked near the beach, it really does provide a good experience while staring off into the sunset. I got romantic with my taco. Awkward. I recommend the pork and beef. The chicken wasn’t too special but it really does have a spicy, delicious flavor. Have a good day guys, enjoy your taco.

Walking to the pier and saw their truck, became curious. Ordered a Korean BBQ pork burrito. My life has been improved ever since. The flavor, the freshness, the fusion of Korean BBQ style pork with the rice and beans of the burrito… amazing. I will most certainly be back when I am in the area.

Ordered the fries and asked for a ‘calbi’ boost. When I received the order it was incomplete and the owner refused to add the remaining portion of the items that were included in the so called boost. Instead he demanded that each individual item is an additional charge and refused comply. I told him to look at his menu and see what it said himself, but he still refused. Do not eat here, you will be disappointed.

Got pork taco and shrimp taco. Do not like the taste– or the mix of flavors. It just tastes like all kinds of fast food tastes thrown into one thing. The shrimp quality is good, but the taste doesn’t go with the sauces. The pork is not hot. It’s luke warm. Overall, not something I like.
