The phillyfornia truck came to my work today. The food was good. The fries were good tasting. The prices on everything was generally high though. Very friendly cook staff.

They have a picture of three delicious looking ribeye steak tacos on their truck for $ 9.00, my friend and I decided to order that with anticipation of a tasty treat. Sadly what we were given was the tiniest tacos I have ever seen, with not even enough steak pieces to fill one taco truck taco. The picture also showed onions and cilantro, we where given these bare, dare I say anorexic, skimpy poor excuse for tacos with NO cilantro to make matters worse. I complained to the guy who had a not my problem apathetic expression on his face, no apology, no regard just a simple«oh yeah, we ran out!» Which he could’ve disclosed before we made our pathetic purchase of rude disappointment.

I have to say PhillyFornia is great and one of my new favorite places. I’ve had real Philly Sandwiches from Philly before, and these guys are definitely on point. My favorite is the provolone and cheese wiz mixed together on a philly. I’ve had other items on this truck as well like the Philly Melt, and everything tastes damn good. The staff is also very friendly. This is one place that will continue to get my business, and I would definitely recommend to my friends and family to try out. Keep up the great work guys!

Got the tacos. They were street tacos so, of course, they were small. Tasty, but the price($ 9) was way too high for what you got. If you are going to charge that much, at least throw in some fries or a salad! The person who took my order was amazingly nice and helpful though.

We tried out the Phillyfornia truck with high expectations. We ordered a «whiz wit»($ 10). That is a cheeseteak, with cheese whiz, and onions. I was pretty taken back when the guy handed me my sandwich. It was a small portion of ribeye, a decent amount of whiz and onions, all easily tucked in to an 8″ Amoroso bread roll. The sandwich was tiny, very little meat, not very satisfying. The rib eye had a good familiar flavor, the whiz had the nice bite that cheese whiz is known for. The bread was the best part, nice soft and fresh, with a salty taste. For $ 10 this sandwich should have been twice the size. It left us very unsatisfied. We also tried their cheesesteak fries($ 8). The fries were delicious! There were a lot of crispy, tasty fries, loaded with a good amount of rib eye, whiz, and grilled onions. The $ 8 for the fries may have been a little steep, but it was definitely better than the sandwich. They do accept credit cards, so that was a plus. To spend $ 18 for the tiny sandwich and the fries was a little excessive. I would not recommend going to Phillyfornia to satisfy your craving for an authentic philly cheesesteak, unless you are prepared to shell out $ 20 to get two of these under sized sandwiches. If I ever went back to this truck it would be for the philly cheesesteak fries, and that is if I EVER went back. You can watch our review of the Phillyfornia truck here

Had a traditional cheesesteak sandwich. No value for the price. The roll, provolone, and onions were good. There was one minuscule layer of beef. Very, very disappointing. Definitely not worth $ 10.00!

Fantastic cheese steak. The bread was fresh and toasted perfectly. The meat had a great seasoning to it and cheese worked with it wonderfully. It really was one of the best cheese steaks I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that often.

Ate at the truck last night at an event. Nice crew, but incompetent. I don’t know how they streamline their orders, but nothing came out sooner than a half hour after ordering. Eventually, they were just handing people anything, it seems. I certainly did not get what I ordered, but it had been so long that I took what they handed me. What little Philly steak there was on what appeared to be a deconstructed cheesesteak with cheese fries was fine — no better, no worse(I HAD ordered a cheesesteak with grilled onions). The fries were soggy. How do these guys handle a lunch rush? Granted this was a larger scale, but the process is still the same: cook a few things simultaneously, get them out. I’ve never waited this long for so little so ordinarily prepared. Now granted, I’m FROM Philly so my bar for these things is set pretty high, but man… this didn’t come close. At least they had Wise potato chips — brought back some nice memories from my childhood.

Awesome Philly cheese steak! The meat was so perfect and the entire sandwich was freaking great. I had the melt with pepper jack. You have to check it out if you see the truck. guess parks regularly outside Brickyard Pub on Magnolia for the late night crowd which of course is smart. He was parked on Lankershim tonight by he enterprise and the metro station. Hopefully he gets a lot of business here too so he’ll keep coming back in the early evening times too. But he’ll be floating around the NoHo area too, so check it out. I’m looking forward to the Philly fries next time, I’m a sucker for fries and concoctions on top of them

Everything was made fresh to order and had some much flavor. Everything was good to the last bite and was very well worth the walk from the 11th floor of my building. Can’t wait until next time!

Amazing. I’ve been to Philly… had them all. This was as good as any. The Philly cheesesteak meat was tasty and the cheese whiz perfect. Also had the cheese fries. Food was hot. Service was good. All from a food truck that visited our neighborhood.

Super Philly fries! Great meat and give these guys lots of credit for going to study back @ Geno’s in South Philly. You can get Tasty cakes too.
