Took 40 minutes to produce 3 drinks. Not particularly busy. $ 8.00 worth of pastries(3) smashed and deformed. Bad choice.

Great, convenient location. Friendly staff. There’s also a little patio where you can sit and enjoy your drink.

Awful, awful business. Every time I have went to this place, employees are rude and act like you are bugging them. Today was the second time they screwed up my drink order and didn’t even apologize! Do not go to this Starbucks! Your better off going to the one in the De Vargas Mall. I will not be going to this one anymore!

I’m not sure who came up with a model for a walk up window and a drive through for a Starbucks but I surely wouldn’t wish to see one again. While the staff was nice, they were inexperienced on the drinks. I ordered my usual which was fine but also ordered the flat, white spicy thing that Starbucks created for the holidays. I asked if it was sweetened and they said yes but if it was, it certainly wasn’t in context to a vanilla latte for instance. The bathrooms were the dirtiest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a Starbucks and this was *with* a passcode to get in. The counters behind the glass wall were a mess and it didn’t seem like they had anyone that served as a manager. Hands down, this is the worst Starbucks I’ve ever experienced. Sadly enough as I went to get gas on my way out of town, I passed right by a O’Hori’s which would have capped off my Sante Fe trip nicely.

This was weird for there was no inside, just a drive thru and so it was cold. The lady at the window I think maybe could have used a coffee herself! Everyone has a bad day though. Needed password to use the bathroom too. Low rating for this place. I live out of town. If passing though to Taos again though, I think I’ll skip it and hold out for a better spot

I was doubled charged for an order here. When I called they didn’t know how to refund my card. Very frustrating /shady. I wonder if this happens often. Check your bank accounts! Given the amount of volume this location gets, I admire their ability to speedily move people through the drive through. However, its very annoying to take time out of my day to try to correct a wrong only to have an unsatisfactory resolution.

Normally I wouldn’t review a Starbucks, but since I’m from an area where drive thru Starbucks locations don’t exist, I figured I’d post a review for out of towners who are confused(and admittedly a little nervous) about how it all works. So if you’re a Santa Fe native, please forgive this extensive review of something that is part of your everyday lives. My biggest question was«how do they manage requests for milk/sugar in regular coffee since you can’t add it yourself?» Essentially, the coffee(iced coffee, at least) is already sweetened and you tell them what kind of milk you’d like. You can tell them how many pumps of sweetener you want, but the standard seems to be two in a grande. Full disclosure, I didn’t go through the drive thru — I chickened out and ordered at the walk up window because I wasn’t sure how the coffee customization worked! All in all, I’m not crazy about the system because two pumps is pretty sweet for a baseline. As for this location in particular, the wait wasn’t that long walking up, but they only had one cashier to manage walk ups and one for the drive thru. Another woman on line who lives in the area assured me that in the winter, the line/wait is very long, and that it’s often more efficient to just walk up and order instead of dealing with the drive thru. Basically, out of towners, there’s no need to fear — the coffee situation isn’t that bad, if you’re willing to take a leap of faith and put your preferred coffee/milk/sugar ratio into a stranger’s hands. But if you prefer to mix it all up yourself like I do, consider looking for a walk in location, or stop by Ohori’s(a nice little local place with great coffee).

I went and ordered two drinks and it was the worst service I have ever received! I asked for a Tall Vanilla bean, I get to the window and it’s a kids size, I ask the Blonde girl with the crazy blue eye make up(didn’t get her name) to re make it, I wanted the Tall size. I even offered to pay the difference. She let me keep the 1st drink and with attitude says she will re make it. When I get the re made drink it was completely watery, it was not even filled to the top of the lid, didn’t even seem like there was whip cream?! I was extremely upset and gave them back both drinks and said to give me my money back?! For one she didn’t even have the decency to give me the drink her self when she re made it, she had another girl give it to me, now I see why! She seriously would of had it back in her face!!! Like are you Frappin kidding me??? These people know how to make drinks and for me to get that«watery cup of nothing» called a vanilla bean, seemed like the girl was mad because I was making her«job» harder by having them make me the correct drink! That was absolutely not okay! Do these drinks come out of your guys paychecks!!! I am a paying customer and for me to get the service I received today was beyond belief! And mind you this is not the first time this has happened. I have gone to this location several times with them screwing up my drink and the girls always being so bitchy about it. I understand mistakes happen but giving attitude when YOU screwed up is not good customer service at all… the managers and employers should he ashamed to have all these girls, with such bad attitudes working there… I will be calling the district manager and expect something be done… BTW: this location didn’t even deserve the 1 star I was forced to give to write this review…

Although there is still a very long line for the drive through, the coffee is good, especially the Americano. The Chai latte is terrific. The Christmas drinks are so good, But totally caloric. Don’t blame Starbucks if you give in to them! You get credit for what you buy if you sign up for a Starbucks card, but not for each coffee, which doesn’t seem quite fair. After you’ve bought 12, you get a free coffee. But if you have more than one person in your car and you order and pay for 2,3 or 4 coffees, you only get credit for one. That should be changed, The baristas who work at this particular Starbucks are very pleasant. They should start offering Stevia, which is a natural substitute for sugar and doesn’t contain aspartame.

Very disappointed this morning. My husband and I received lukewarm coffee at 6:30 this morning. We were the only customers in the drive thru. We only realized this as we had driven off. We were in a hurry so did not go back. Had we gotten a receipt we may have gone back later in the day. Think it is better to go to Starbucks locations at DeVargas mall or the one on San Francisco. I like my coffee HOT in the morning. Hopefully this was just a rare occurrence.

May be best to pass this one — service & attention to order as placed more Santa Fe flakey than Starbucks efficient. DeVargas Center location will save you 10 to 15 min

On a recent trip to town we had drinks here everyday because it was such a nice patio to sit on. Outdoor seating only! When the weather is good, this location beats the DeVargas mall location for outdoor seating. It can get a bit windy though.

What? No decaf? Switching to Ohoris again. And it’s less expensive !!! But really … It seems that no Starbucks in town has a decaf choice. For awhile they were only serving bit until 11:00 am and not in the evening… how does that Make sense?? Now it’s cut? Also, for cold coffees they should have coffee and cream ice cubes. When they lazily make pour overs for mochas and such it just becomes a bunch of water and the flavor is entirely lost.

Really disappointed in SB lately. Service has been slower and orders getting screwed up much more often since they closed the wall in location at zafarano. The drive thrus are always packed and staff seems rushed with new line of heated foods. And the downtown location is hard to get to or in anytime let alone during the summer touristy months. Mostly upset about quality. However, when they do screw up the staff is kind & helpful so kudos for that!

This is a drive-through, walk-up only location. Awesome if you have a car but not so great when its freezing outside and your walking from work to grab a quick coffee! That said, they do have heaters outside and I’ve always had quick service. I’m giving it three stars ONLY because Starbuck’s coffee is always lacking for me but its a nice place with good service.

WARNING: the drive-thru lines here are long around 7am! Just park and go inside it will be so much faster! The people working here are nice/friendly though.

This new Starbucks is a drive thru /take away window location, no inside seating. Yeah, it’s Starbucks, not my favorite coffee, but convenient and quick, and the staff here are cheery and give good service.
