In-f*cking-credible! Now, I’ve never been to Philly, but I’ve had cheesesteaks in tons of different states and this one is by far the best(I just wish I had a beer to wash it down and maybe had been listening to a baseball game on the radio). Lots of yummy sandwiches to choose from! I seriously would have been happy with anything on the menu. My girlfriend order the BBQ Chicken Cheesesteak and scarfed it down. She said she wished there was more cheese but the barbeque sauce was tangy, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the onions were a delight. I had the Greek Steak sandwich and their cucumber garlic tzatiki sauce would put my Greek grandmother’s tzatiki to shame. The veggies on it were fresh, the beef was tender, and the Sirachi added an extra zing to the garlic taste in the tzatiki. We also shared the cheese fries which were just standard thick fries with cheese wizz on them, but damn were the perfect side dish! I have passed by this food truck since I moved here three years ago and always wanted to stop by. I am super glad I did! Everyone that worked in the truck was nice, they allowed us to wash our hands next door at the ski shop, and came out to check on everything. I’d definitely recommend this place, but maybe order ahead on the phone if it’s freezing outside. (also, there is bike parking next door at the Starbucks)

UPDATE: As good as the food is, I’ve gotta take down their rating, and say I can’t recommend the place. On three out of four visits during their posted business hours, they simply weren’t there. No explanation on the website, no sign on the truck, nothing. Just — not there. Only the once have I ever been able to get a sandwich. It’s kinda pointless to have superb food if no one can buy it. Addendum: I got a very nasty response to this(and I was still giving them three stars then), telling me it’s fine because people still eat there(WHEN?). I am only stating the plain, simple facts. Their posted hours are pure fiction. The owner’s outrageous attitude cemented it — even on the off chance I ever do see them open again, I won’t go there.

In response to my review the owner messaged me and accused me of bashing them and asked me to delete my review. Unprofessional. I read through the reviews of this place and 2 of the 5 star reviews are from the 2 owners, posing as patrons. Unethical. I was disappointed by the food but now I’m also disappointed by their business practices.

Expensive for what it is. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why there are such rave reviews of this below average food. Perhaps the reviewers have never had a really good Philly Cheesesteak. The service is fine, but a food truck should not take this long to get you your food. The meat was dried up and bland, the cheese on the skimpy side, and the ballyhooed bread imported from Philadelphia not so special. A good cheesesteak IMO spares no expense with the cheese. I love a cheesy mess with lots of onions, which this was not. Non cheese lovers may like this cheesesteak if they don’t like so much cheese, but I say, lack of cheese is blasphemy. It’s a cheesesteak after all. Perhaps I will be back one more time, and I will tell them to go heavy on the cheese whiz and onions. (This review was edited. At first was going to be generous and give this place a 2 star and return, but the owner got testy and showed no class… so one star for this overrated abomination.

A fairly low-quality hot dog sized bun with chewy crap they call ‘meat’ covered in tasty sauce and peppers. For almost 10 bucks a total rip-off.

I’ve been eating the original bambini ever since they’ve opened. The bread is to die for. The beef is hot and tender. The cheese is melted to perfection and is the ideal compliment to the grilled onions they use. I can’t get enough of these things. As long as they keep making sandwiches, I will keep giving Bambini’s my business. The best Philly Cheesesteak in town. Bar none.

Love these Philly Cheese Steak hoagies. Steak is salty and tender and they offer four kinds of cheese including white American. And the roll is authentic and tasty.

HUH? 2 sandwiches, one fry and a 2 cokes for $ 28 ??? Freezer slabs of meat chopped up. WAY overpriced and over rated. Why not cook real roasts and slice it for yourself for that price! Went home the next day and made my husband a REAL philly cheese STEAK sandwich. Come on guys! In regards to the owner’s response, how can you pour your heart and soul into frozen and already packaged items? FRESHFRESHFRESH is the word! For everything!

Bambini’s is the best. Today I went to Bambini’s and had an Eggplant Parmesan sandwich. Delicious. Perhaps the best I have ever eaten. Bambini’s is known for their excellent Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches, but they also serve two delicious vegetarian sandwiches, including the Eggplant, for us non meat eaters. Excellent place in Santa Fe to grab lunch.

Tasty shop for pickup when you need a Philly cheese steak fix. I kinda wish they were a little messier… but they fit the bill :)

Food wasn’t that great and the service was horrible. Order took over 20 minutes and when we asked about the food the cook was an a-hole…don’t waste your money here!

These are hands down the best cheesesteaks west of the Mississippi. In fact, I would say they are better than most I’ve had in Philly. I’ve been to Pat’s and Gino’s(and others in Philly), and I like Bambini’s better than both of those classic cheesesteak shops. I won’t nitpick over why, except to point out that Bambini’s is within easy driving distance, and Philadelphia isn’t! They’ve got the basic cheesesteak with onions and choice of cheese, and then there are a half dozen variations including the New Mexican green chili version. Other sandwiches on the menu include chicken parm, eggplant parm, falafel, Italian deli, and a few others. I have a very hard time pulling myself away from anything but that original cheesesteak, but this weekend I did try the special, a shrimp po’boy. Plenty of large(26 – 30’s?) breaded and fried shrimp on the same awesome bread they use for the cheesesteaks(The bread really is very good!) with shredded lettuce and a spicy sauce. I would totally get this again!(But I’d still get a couple cheesesteaks at the same time to take home!) I’ve also got to point out the chocolate cannolis. Better than any I’ve had in Albuquerque. And I should point out(and the same goes for the cheesesteaks), it’s not that the cannolis and cheesesteaks are unusual or creative. They just aren’t making any mistakes. These are the perfect versions that you picture in your mind with you think cheesesteaks and cannolis. It’s the exact image of what you’d drool over in a magazine. It’s the picture you’d see in the food encyclopedia when you look it up, and it tastes every bit as good as you’d imagine. And what would a steak sandwich be without a birch beer? They’ve got that, and a bunch of other drinks, and fries, and onion rings, and fried mozzarella sticks, and you get the idea. Add to that the fact that the couple running the place are as nice as anyone you’d ever meet, and it’s no wonder I’m happy to drive an hour just to get to this place.

We were excited to try this food truck after hearing great reviews. There was a long line, but the guy at the counter promised it would only take 10 – 15 minutes to get us our food. I got the falafel sandwich, it took them 45 minutes to make it and when I finally got it, the felafel patties were cold and it didn’t have any sauce to help with the flavor. My friend waited an hour and never got his sandwich, even though they kept promising it was coming right up. He finally just asked for his money back. We won’t visit this truck again.

I’m a fan of food trucks and cannolinis. The cheesesteak is awesome! Try their chocolate dipped cannolini! Speedy service too!

Welp, these weren’t quite Philly, but hell, even a lot of places in Philadelphia can’t quite nail the Philly cheesesteak so I ain’t mad. In truth, the sandwiches here are a filling, flavorful, messy treat. I ordered the cheesesteak with their fancy equivalent to Cheese Wiz and added the obligatory green chile and the result was: mighty fine. I’d like to return again and try different iterations and perhaps order either an extra serving of green chile and/or onions to get a bit more explosive flavor, since my gut feeling is the sandwiches can be spectacular. I’ll tell you one thing, if I were a few brewskis in, I’d probably find these to be heaven. The prices are a bit north of what you’d want for a sandwich served out of a food truck, but you won’t be disappointed by the size. Also, the service was friendly. One last thing to note, the wait was about ten minutes so don’t come here if patience is not your strong point.
