Went to dinner this evening with family and had an excellent steak… suggested by our server. Overall the food was really good! Our server(Dylan) kept us informed, drinks were filled, appetizers served when expected, salad, then the steaks and a burger. It was nice because we hit the restaurant before the rush. I’ve worked in the food industry and know what people generally are looking for in service and it was nice to go to a place where that was done. Only suggestion is that the menus could use a more fresh look. It isn’t very user friendly and appealing to the eye for such an upscale price point. I will return as long as service is as good as it was this evening.

An embarrassment. Ordered unlimited shrimp and the waiter never asked if I wanted more(never came back to refill water until we were ready to leave). The place isn’t even busy. Stay away from this place — make the effort to go anywhere else 3⁄2016 update Went back after I was sent $ 80 in tuck away bucks. Went for lunch on the weekend. Ordered a salad, burger, and 9 oz filet for two adults and two kids(plus an appetizer). App came quickly, food took 45 min. Steak was dry despite asking for medium. Salad had old chicken on it. Between the wait and the quality, difficult to recommend. Then came the bill. Two appetizers were on there inexplicably — once removed the bill dropped to $ 95. Once the aforementioned tuck always were applied somehow the bill became $ 5. Whatever — paid and finally got out.

I had a nice dinner at this Outback earlier tonight. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were super attentive. The only reason I’m withholding a star is parking: there just isn’t enough when the restaurant is busy.

We have gone here for years. It’s on the other side of town do we stop by every few weeks. My wife loves the salmon & I get a big steak & baked potato & we’ll have a glass of wine. & salad . Well something happened in the last few months. Last two trips place was empty, service terrible. Food mediocre at best !! Really terrible ?? What happened. Side dishes of veg’s with salmon were cold. & I mean cold … Our salads had everything we asked to be kept off. On ! Someone at corporate headquarters needs to fix this place. Not one employee seemed to care when we asked what was happening …

Came to try the new mushroom marsala roasted sirloin. Did not look like the pics or ads. The smaller portion 5 oz. didn’t even have any mushrooms in the sauce. Service was fine as usual in the bar area.

I was seated quickly, but after 20 minutes of no one coming to at least tell me they would be a bit I decided to leave. So not cool. Maybe next time they would at least come back and inform me that they would be by shortly to take my drink order. Really poor service and it wasn’t even busy yet as it was only 3:40 pm. Highly disappointed this time around. I’ve never had this type of service here before. They are usually more informative about being by if they are busy. I won’t take it personally, but hopefully it will be better the next time around as I enjoy their food very much.

This used to be a good steakhouse a couple of years ago. Now the place is half empty and for good reason. The food is ok but it takes forever to get to the table. The waiter gave us attitude the whole time. We ordered a blooming onion and after about 20 minutes he said it would be a while longer for it to be out. My aunt told him maybe just forget it as we had all ready ordered our entrée. The snotty waiter said offended, «Why would you cancel it!?» Very confrontational. My aunt ordered Sprite and when waiter came to refill our waters he refilled hers with water. Easy mistake right? When my aunt pointed it out he said rudely, «well you knew it was water» basically saying it was her fault she didn’t stop him. Ahole!!! Anyway we finished our meals and waited FOREVER To get our check(we had to ask for it) Then he didn’t divide check as we asked and had to re ring it up. We had to ask 3 times for boxes for our stupid food. My aunt said, «maybe if we carry our plates out the door they’ll bring us a box.» Anyway our waiter finally ran our cards and he acted all ass-kissy saying, «honey you have a wonderful day and a great New Year.» because we were figuring his tip out. Will never step back into that hot mess!!! pain in the butt.

Came here to watch a NBA game after a huge sports bar, Boxcar, refused to put the game on even just one tv. The staff at Outback was phenomenal & tried so hard to find the Warriors game for me. Although they didn’t get the channel it was on they tried & tried and then put on NBA Tonight so we could at least see clips of it. Food was good also but customer service was over the top. As a tourist wanting to watch sports it is hard enough in this town but thanks for at least trying Outback!

As usual, the service stunk and it was filthy. We were told we’d have a half hour wait for our online«no-wait seating» since we were 15 minutes early. Sadly a table of nine managed to walk in and be seated while our table of seven made small talk in the waiting area. Our waitress however was fantastic and was rewarded very appropriately even though the food was lousy which unfortunately I expected. I can usually handle a bit of bad service, but for a $ 25 steak, it should at the very least be «ok». Please, at least cook it to the right temp. This was the fourth and last attempt for me with Outback. Please Santa Fe, bring in a decent eating establishment.

This outback is extremely odd. The service isn’t quite rude, but it seems scattered and obvious things that should be brought to the table(like silverware) needed to be asked for. Our waitress was extremely nice about being asked for things, it’s just that we had to ask. I ordered something, a salad, that I’ve had at other outbacks. I was surprised by how small the portion of a meal sized salad was. My fellow dinner also commented that he thought his steak was smaller than advertised and there was very little of the sides. I used to associate outback with massive portions and noticeably smaller portions is something new. Across the street is Ranch House, a native Santa Fe steak house. The contrast was not lost on me. There the service is great, the portions consistent etc. I’ve been to a number of Outback restaurants at least 3 different states and this one left me puzzled.

I went for a second try during mid afternoon for an early dinner. In Florida and abq this chain it was a favorite… now in Santa Fe it was a close to the worst!!! I will not go back… plates smaller, potatoes smaller, I had to ask for. Bread. The ribs, after I asked for dry rub, no sauce, came smothered stuffed on the small plate! A waiter replaced them, to go, and they were not even wrapped carefully, just thrown in a stroform box on a piece of foil. This cost over $ 24.00. No more for me… sad

I went to outback and it was the worse experience ever. The waiter was very unprofessional and had a excuse for everything. After a hour of waiting for our food we finally got up and left and complained to the manager when we left and they didn’t seem to care. I waited a few weeks and then called to get the number to the cooperate headquarters and supposedly the general manager of that location was the one that answered the phone. His name is plattamere. So he asked what the problem was and I explained. I told him I would call back with the exact date and time after I checked my calendar for this awful experience. I told him I was very disappointed in how this outback runs. He still didn’t seem to really care. So like I said I called back with the details and to this day he has never followed up like he said he would. Talk about poor customer service. I WILLLLLLNEVERGOBACKTOTHISSUCKYRESTAURANT. I would rather go to the trouble of driving to alb to a nice steak restaurant then deal with this rude, unprofessional restaurant again. OUTBACKINSANTAFESUCKS. Trust me I tell everyone about the shitty attitude. Don’t waste your money here.

We use to eat at Outback on date night often. After retirement, we started eating our heavy meal at noon. Most Outbacks don’t open for lunch. So we were surprised to find this one severing lunch. I think the quality of their steaks are not so good or as good as they were in the past. Wait staff was fine. The food was just OK. There are plenty better steak houses around, maybe not Santa fe. Probably want be going to a outback in the near future.

I like Outback Steakhouse, not a huge fan but for a steakhouse you can’t really complain. But today, I found reason to. We entered at 6:50PM for dinner and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered almost immediately, we both knew what we wanted. I got a Caesar Salad and a Rib Eye, medium-rare, and my guest ordered a porterhouse, medium, and a plain salad. Our server nudged us to getting certain items despite the fact we weren’t interested. We received our bread fairly quickly in a state I can only describe as burnt. There was something off about it and I can only guess that it was a few minutes too many in the oven. What followed was a 20 minute wait for SIDESALAD. When it got there the salad was a bit mushy, IE not crunchy like lettuce is fresh. It seems like the lettuce either wasn’t that fresh or had been marinating in the dressing for some time. We finish the salads and wait some more. Another 20 minutes to be exact! Now I’m no expert when it comes to cooking steaks, but it’s to my understanding it does NOT take 40 minutes to cook a 10 oz steak medium-rare. When our plates finally did arrive I discovered that my steak had been cooked either medium or medium-well, there was not much pink left in the middle. In addition the meat was very fatty, probably 2 – 3 oz were pure unchewable flavorless fat. The steamed broccoli was very good on the other hand. For a $ 20 meal I was not impressed. Service was extraordinarily slow despite not being very busy. Food was mediocre, but worse than that, parts of the order were wrong. Our server only checked on us once during the entire hour and a half meal. We had to bother him for a drink refill. I would advise trying another restaurant for a decent steak, I don’t think this franchise is up to par.

Never again. Service was atrocious the food was mediocre. Next time I will go across the street to the ranch house which is always great.
