Another joke of a buisness. Didnt clean my items correctly and charged me a high dollar. I was so furious because i do not appreciate being robber in front of my face so i asked them to fix it. The man who i believe may have been the owner started arguing with me instead of talking to me about it to make it right. He even gave me some crap about refunding my money so i held my ground. The woman who i believe was a blone and may have been the manager also started arguing with me. Believe it or not i got my money back and both the a**holes told me to never come back. Like as if i would ever want to come back to their dump. Needeless to say they are out of integrity and rude as they come. If they mess something up then beware.

I agree with the«zero star» comment made by an earlier reviewer… this isn’t just poor customer service, it is virtual robbery. They ruined a new motorcycle jacket that I brought in for a first cleaning… melted the appliqued design right off the back. I noticed it upon picking it up, even though they tried to hide it by putting it in the bag so that the front was facing out and the back was up against another item. They said to take it home and bring it back when Jorge, the owner, was in because they were powerless to do anything without his approval. They wanted to keep the receipt, as they had given me the item, but I insisted on keeping it with me. No one apologized for the inconvenience. I came back three times, after calling first to make sure he would be in and he wasn’t there when I arrived(I work five minutes away). No one apologized for the inconvenience. Finally, I stopped in without calling and found him at the shop. Also found him to be an unethical bully. First he suggested that I actually brought it in that way… and said that they made a note on the receipt that the item was damaged(which, of course, they did not and I still had the copy to prove it). Then he said they followed the instructions on the label; actually, the jacket would have been fine if pressed inside out(which is what the care label recommended) but you could see that the steam press was applied directly to the design on the outside. Then, he said this wasn’t the jacket they had cleaned, but that I had brought a different jacket back wth me. I appealled to the lady who had been there the day I picked it up and she just looked at the ground silently with her hands behind her back and didn’t say a word. Forget paying for the replacement of the jacket they destoryed, Jorge wouldn’t even refund my cleaning fee because he said they had cleaned a different jacket!!! Jorge won’t compensate customers for the mistakes that are made and/or for the inconveniences experienced by customers who try to resolve issues. The good news is that I brought it back to Harley and they honored the warranty, even though it was clear that the jacket hadn’t been cleaned according to the care label. Yeah, Harley! I’ve had the replacement jacket cleaned several times at other dry cleaners without incident. and the design is as crisp today as the day I bought the jacket. This. leads one to the obvious conclusion that La Unica, not the jacket, is the real problem!

If I could, I would give ZERO stars for this place. Worst business practice I have ever encountered in my entire life. I took several garments to be cleaned/altered/pressed, one of which was a wedding dress, and my wedding is this Saturday. When I came to pick up the order, one of the dresses hadn’t even been cleaned. They took that charge of my tab(duh, because they didn’t do it), but then when I got the garments home, I saw BLACKSMUDGESONMYWEDDINGDRESS. And it wasn’t in a place that maybe I had done it when trying it on. It was more than halfway up the skirt UNDERNEATH a see-through overlay. There was no way I did that. It happened when they were pressing it. Not only on my dress but also on my Mom’s dress for the wedding, there were multiple black smudges. Rule number one of being in the dry cleaning business: You never, NEVER fuck up a wedding dress. So then this morning I called them, because I don’t live in town and told them they had messed up. Not only did they not apologize, they insisted I had to bring the dress down to prove it to them and that they had to fix it, they wouldn’t give me a refund. So I made the hour trip down AGAIN, and brought down the the two stained dresses as well as the other dress that didn’t get cleaned before telling them they had to fix the two dresses and clean the other one they were supposed to have done before and be done by this afternoon. So when I went to pick up everything, and the stains were gone, and a they gave me a halfheartedly repressed wedding dress, and THEN they were charging me for the cleaning of the other dress. I told them I felt I shouldn’t have to pay for that because they screwed up twice, first when they didn’t have the dress cleaned when they had promised it, and second because they STAINEDMYWEDDINGDRESS. Then the extremely rude manager said if I wasn’t going to pay, he was going to keep my dress. I then said he had pretty horrible business practices if he wouldn’t make this mistake right, and that he wouldn’t get many repeat customers if he kept this up. He then insulted me by accusing me of staining it and then saying that he didn’t want business from people in my town because we were too picky. OH? Well, I guess slobs like you don’t really care if you have stains all over your treasured garments. Excuse me if people from my town actually have standards. Never trust this place with any garment that you value.

La Unica((and Gina and Kim in particular) saved my life. I’d come to Santa Fe from California for a really important job interview. In a moment of insecurity, I’d purchased a new suit for the interview just the day before, but needed the pants to be hemmed. The morning of my interview, La Unica was able to help me out in a pinch. They weren’t bad-mannered about it either; they were careful to underpromise and overdeliver, which was much appreciated. Having a suit that fit made me feel so much more comfortable for my interview. The work was done quickly, and well. It’s also worth noting that Gina and Kim are just genuinely nice, friendly people, who you’d want to succeed in the world. As one example, they apologized for making me wait ten minutes, even though I was the one who was coming in with a tailoring emergency.

I’ll give the dry cleaning three stars. They’re friendly and seem to do a good job. However, DONOT try to get tailoring done there. We’ve struck out three times with simple jobs: new buttons on a jacket(not ready when promised a week later); a patch on a jacket(not ready on time, no phone call to say they had a question, and a smudge on the jacket when we picked it up); and last but not least, a pair of dress pants hemmed with one pant leg about half an inch longer than the other. Good grief!

We just moved here so needed a dry cleaner. Went here on recommendation of fellow Unilocaler(see other review). So far so good, we had one pair of pants, three shirts, a blouse and a little girl’s dress done for $ 36. This price included repair on a fastener on the pants too. The dress was a mess of yogurt from our toddler but it looks as good as new now– she will be thrilled! Cordial woman managing the front, she smiles and sincerely meant it when she wished me a good day. Nice experience, I think we have found our dry cleaner!

La Unica saved my red wool Christmas dress, which had a food spot on the front(another wild dinner party disaster, where I must have thought prime rib belonged on my chest), that I had blotted with water to save face for the duration of the evening. I thought this dress was finished, but when the professionals at La Unica were done with it, there was nary a trace of the offending food and water spots. I lived in NYC during the 1980s, used several dry-cleaning shops, and never found a dry cleaner to equal La Unica in Santa Fe. Every town should be so lucky!
