I like thier coffee better than Starbucks which seems a bit more acidic. But the one problem here is that they offer you free wifi internet. Then they turn on the airconditioner in the winter to make you leave shortly afterwards. It’s perplexing but it’s really the case here. Maybe it’s me they don’t like ?? Who knows.

Lovely people who are hard workers. Awesome food, try the yogurt cup, and very yummy drinks. Stop in and enjoy.

Great little spot for some refreshing Gelato and charge up your phone! While taking a break from all the walking! Friendly staff, just need to tidy it up a bit!

So far I have only had an iced mocha and a chocolate croissant. The iced mocha was OK, maybe a little too sweet… and the coffee didn’t really shine through in any kind of exceptional way, though they did use compostable cups which I appreciate. The chocolate croissant was weird. For me, chocolate croissants have to have a hardish chocolate on the inside and not melty all over your hand chocolate on the outside… The outer chocolate was like chocolate syrup, and the inner chocolate was almost like pudding… I couldn’t even finish it, it was so strange. So far, I’d say it’s good… But not great. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying their gelato, which I have missed since I lived in Italy.

Okay coffee… Okay gelato. Not crazy about it.

Meh, that’s all I can think to say! It was 7pm, many favors gone or only a scraping left my biggest complaint though was that the gelato didn’t taste like any of the favors. The amaretto didn’t taste like amaretto. The chocolate and pistachio were all flavorless. I think I’d be better off at B-R! Something is off Ecco. Your gelato used to be the best in the state!

During our recent vacation in Santa Fe we walked the short distance from our hotel facing the Plaza to Ecco each morning. By the second day the barrista started pouring our cups of dark roast, leaving room for cream, as soon as we came through the door. On our last morning the owner surprised us with a large Affogato(vanilla gelato drowned in espresso) on the house!

Ecco, can you hear me? You have a problem. Or two. Or three. Last night you were open until 8. Except when we wanted coffee a little after 7:30 your espresso machine was closed down. Are you open for coffee, or not? We wanted to sit outside at one of your tables with our pooch for our coffee and gelato. Except you were bringing your tables in way before closing. Are you open for outdoor seating, or not? This morning we came in after breakfast for gelato, since your tables were there. Except gelato isn’t served until 11. Are you open for gelato, or not? And your coffee is disappointing, once we have a cup served in the morning. Good news: your shared bathroom is excellent.

Enjoyed a nice walk from our hotel, the Eldorado, here for some gelato and didn’t leave disappointed. I was having a hard time choosing from their selection and they graciously let me try as many as I wanted. By the time I was done, I’d sampled about 8, all of which were tasty. I finally settled on a sour cherry, blood orange and coconut combination. They worked well together and all were delicious. The interior looked a bit barren, like someone didn’t want to spend more to make it very cute and welcoming. We decided to eat out while exploring the city in the evening.

Not good. Too watery for my taste. Chocolate and vanilla didn’t taste right. Would not recommend if you like creamy gelato.

I only had an American but it was less than 3 dollars. The espresso was great better than Starbucks. I really enjoyed just hanging out and drinking my coffee. It is next to sushi and a hotel. Find the Luxx flyer as there are some good deals on it. I will be back here to check out the gelato.

My wife hot chocolate and sea salt caramel. I got the Nutella and blood orange. All great flavored. That blood orange is tangy. A perfect spot for an afternoon pause.

Stopped in around 10 pm for gelato. Good choice!!! A small is MORE than enough for one person. Wish I could review on the coffee :)

I really enjoyed the gelato. It has the perfect consistency, and isn’t too hard, like gelato often is in the US. I was also happy to discover that I could order an Italian-style macchiato without getting some weird Starbucks frappé type thing.

I am a total coffee snob and I’ve tried so many different coffee shops, far too many to count. I’ve never tried the coffee here, however the Latte with toffee syrup is the absolute best latte I’ve ever had. Ever. The espresso was excellent, not at all bitter and the foam is perfect. I live in Albuquerque but frequently drive out here to get a latte. Wish they were closer, but at the same time I’d be broke. My husband is not a coffee person(sad, I know) however he has tried the gelato here and said it was delicious.

I wanted to hang out here and drink coffee while I worked but they had a sign that said no bathroom so it wasn’t a place I could sit drinking coffee for three hours.

While dining at The Shed, the guy next to me mentioned this place and said you can get strawberry-habanero gelato. Sold. For about $ 4, I could get a couple of flavors with my order, so I also tried stracciatella. Excellent consistency on the gelato, awesome flavors. Great job on the stracciatella. The strawberry-habanero had a noticeable heat tickle on the throat, wonderful habanero flavors. I’d totally come back for more. I unfortunately cannot comment on the espresso, but I liked that there was a spicy cocoa option available. A couple commenters noted they had bad service here. I happily avoided that on my visit. No problems on my end.

Heed the name of this place and do the thing I didn’t do: get both. Espresso and gelato, a match made in Santa Fe heaven, caffeine and sublime Italian sugar, sounds like a perfect date. I only indulged in the latter, the gelato, and I dripped. The savory frozen flavors in this sort-of-café do serious justice to their Italian origins, I loved the hazelnut and Oreo inspired varieties, not to mention all of the bites I stole from my wife and daughter(and no, I had absolutely no guilt stealing sweets from a 3 year-old). But while I sat there licking my chops, I noted that the menu had all kinds of relatively inexpensive and straight up astonishing combos of coffee drinks and shakes, and I regretted missing those options. Next time I’m in the City Different I’m doing this differently, for sure.

Extremely rude! I called to confirm how late they were open and I showed up 30 minutes before closing time — the staff were putting tables and chairs away and gave me and my guests rude and impatient stares as we approached the gelato. We are here for the summer with the opera and had previously told folks about«a little gelato place near the plaza that looks good.» We will not return and neither will our guests or colleagues.
