Chef Jen & her crew are aMaZiNg!!! We had a delicious dinner of nachos, cauliflower truffle aioli soup, grilled salmon with asparagus and lentils, beet salad with goat cheese, bacon tacos and buffalo burgers(which my 4 and 7 year olds gobbled up). Chef Jen is truly a master and talented cook. Not only am I gluten free but my hubby is allergic to garlic. So while our food was lacking items that could make us sick(thank goodness) it certainly didn’t lack flavor(thank goodness) if you want a great meal in the heart of Santa Fe, I highly recommend the team at Agoya Lounge at the Inn on the Alameda!!! Great food that makes you feel great!!! Thank you Chef Jen & Team You’re the BEST!!!

Wow, I’m torn between 4&5 stars. Decided on 5 as the staff(bartender and one way friendly, but massively overworked, waitress) elevated our experience to 5* even tho the food alone rated 4*. First, the setting, perfect, large out door dining area and indoors, very intimate and in close proximity to the bar and bartender who kept things hopping! Bartender and waitress = A fantastic duo :). Margaritas & Caucasian were very good. Food, good Guac, chips? Mehhhh. Wife was tired pf spicy New Mex-Mex so she went with a Cobb Salad and loved it. I had the Chicken Enchilada Casserole with red and green sauces. Very good. BTW, nearly packed on a Monday night and, many appeared to be locals. Again, the food was well above average but not 5*. However, the staff and ambiance really kicked it up a notch. We really couldn’t have been any happier with our night out at Agoyo. We’ll so definitely be back!

A surprisingly good dinner here! I was staying at the hotel but explored many of the restaurants around the Plaza before having dinner here one night. I was pleasantly surprised! I had the special, which was lamb and polenta. And dessert of cheesecake. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. All in all a great experience. The hotel was great too.

Amazing, everything we had was delicious — crusted baked goat cheese(my favorite), puff pastry, pork belly soft tacos, i cannot remember the name of the flatbread, which was great too, and finally cheesecake — so light and delicious. Chef Jen, we cannot thank you enough. The place also has a wonderful atmosphere!!! Great outdoor seating, very private and quiet. Best dining experience we’ve had in Santa Fe so far.

Nice little, out-of-the-way place, hidden behind the lobby of the Alameda Hotel. I was greeted by Charlie, the barkeep, as is mentioned in another post, but he seemed more like the resident Mayor. Friendly, informative, directed my wife and I around the albeit small, but intriguing menu. Delicious fare, very talented and creative chef, quiet surroundings, heavy hand at the bar. Seems like all the makings of a neighborhood stop where you are treated like family. Stopped in again a week later and the staff that night was just as friendly as the prior evening. Had a dinner of several apps just to taste more of the menu — all were exceptional, esp. the special of the evening, a smoked Gouda and pork belly construction(please, ’twas not a mere sandwich!) a wonderfully prepared roasted beet and feta salad and tiny tasty empanadas. If I were a local, I would make this place a habit.

Yes, a thousand times, yes. This hotel has always had a complimentary happy hour for guests, and food was catered in breakfast for guests. Imagine our surprise to learn they are a full fledged, in house, made from scratch restaurant and bar. Charlie mans the bar on Sat-Tues, and is legend in this area. The gentleman who tends bar the other nights has a great sense of humor and is attentive(sorry, didn’t catch your name, tho). The dinner fare is light and menu is brief, but the food is delish. We had green chile stew with empanadas on our first night there and it was unusual, well prepared, hot and wonderful. Most versions of NM green chile stew are thickened and have not a lot of veggies other than the chile: this had a lighter stock, tons of NM green chile, corn, purple potato chunks, chicken, red bells and the like. I have had nothing like it before and I scarfed it happily. The empanadas were packed with smoked chicken, green chile and cheese, and baked just perfectly. They came with a very interesting sauce that complemented them well. When you can go to SF, stay at a hotel close to the square and actually ELECT to eat at the hotel, you really have something special going on. The breakfast buffet: oh, my. Friendly, cheerful ladies ladling up tons of scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, incredible breakfast potatoes with some kind of red chile seasoning, both red and green chile sauces and a special entrée each morning: fritatta, french toast cassarole or quiche. And, ham sliced off the bone, not that formed stuff you get at IHOP. Take your time; there’s fresh fruit, delicious food and friendly smiles all morning long. Nicely done, Alameda! Can’t wait to come back!

I read a Review in Pasatiempo about how the Lounge had the potential of being a great Locals place. I’m a local(just down the street from me) and I’ve been there twice now(and met Jen, the very friendly and accomplished Chef) and all I can say is thank you Pasatiempo for that Review. Sat in front of the fireplace and had lovely conversation and food(and ok, a few Margaritas) with friends. I’m going to quote another Unilocal Reviewer,“Don’t go expecting a multiple-course formal meal, go for the tasty plates, inviting atmosphere, warm conversation, friendly service and great drinks! Highly recommended.“ Ditto.

A fantastic addition to the Santa Fe scene! The Agoyo Lounge provides a wonderfully laid back dining experience. The menu is limited but everything on it is superlative… Especially the desserts! An intimate and welcoming space, the Lounge has really transformed the Inn of the Alameda into a great place to take guests for an enjoyable meal. Don’t go expecting a multiple-course formal meal, go for the tasty plates, inviting atmosphere, warm conversation, friendly service and great drinks! Highly recommended.

I recently discovered this little gem of a restaurant and have been there four times. I love it. Chef Jen has a great hand with familiar dishes like Tomato soup with fresh tomatoes and balsamic vinager, lovely salads, incredible tequila key lime pie. Very interesting dishes for the more adventurous. Not a place to go if your looking for full-service; this is much more easy going and laid back but very good. Delicious margaritas by the way.

This«lounge» has been open, or «re-opened» for at least several months, and is open to the public, and not just guests of the Inn. Touted as a «hip» place in it’s frequent and glamorous advertisements, it has all the Santa Fe charm one could want, though it is underwhelming and expensive. A nice place for conversation over a drink and light, New Mexican-style bar fare, as long as you don’t mind the musak lightly playing in the background. Bartender and servers were very friendly and attentive on our visit on a slow Monday night, though after the bartender extensively shared what local beers were available, served the wrong one. After we ordered food, the server re-appeared a while later saying the artichoke dip special was no longer available, and would we like the guacamole and chips, no additional charge? While tasty, they were not unique, and turned out to be $ 12 anyway. The caprese salad I ordered, also $ 12, appeared with sliced tomato, mozzarella, olive and balsamic. Tomato’s claim to fame was mainly a slight bitter flavor, as if the chef was at the end of his tomato stash. At this point, I was just hoping that I didn’t get food poisoning, as a friend did after the charcuterie plate on a previous visit. The $ 12 Mojito I ordered was actually fabulously strong, and got me drunk enough to walk out of the place feeling as if I had had a good time. Given the choice, I would choose this place over Del Charro any day. I’d rather have a decent drink and not feel like I’m in a bar.
