The Giving Tree

This small gift and décor shop is several blocks from the Plaza on the Paseo and is my go-​to place for birthday, Christmas, new baby and young child gifts. Additionally I can always find something for myself when I am there to buy for others. The owner Mary Kay has created a well-​stocked array of unique items, both antique and new, that are attractively displayed. There is a little bit of everything here, all things that will be used as opposed to gathering dust on a shelf. It is not the typical Santa Fe souvenir shop and everyone should stop by to take a look at what is there, as inventory changes constantly. If you are a visitor, Mary Kay can wrap your items securely or even ship them to you, and she can often special-​order if she is out of your size (yes, she has unique women’s clothing also as well as baby items). If you are local like me, it is a great place to buy gifts of all types. I especially love the line of candles carried there. Prices are very reasonable, a pleasant surprise this close to the Plaza.
