I come here frequently. They get busy and work fast, which I appreciate. The first time they made my salad I was a bit judgemental because they just throw everything in the bowl and chop everything all at once. I thought it was sloppy but then I realized how nicely everything mixes. Smaller pieces, easier to eat… The sandwiches are also kinda thrown together quickly but who cares?! The ingredients are fresh. The place is clean. The service is friendly. They actually toast the bread(most Subways call it «toasted» but barely warm it up)!! This is definitely one of my favorite Subways.

This is where we started coming when Togo’s began to raise their prices. I was a diehard Togo’s customer, having worked at the Santa Clara St. location in SJ back in the day with a few other punk rockers. Anyway, back to this place. My wife found this place first and struck up a repoire(sp?) with the owner and operator here. He is such a nice man. and he’s generous with portions! If you find yourself hungry and in need of a quick sangwidge, this is the place to come! ;)

Well this sucks… My lunch consists of sandwich stuff rolled in to subway paper. I guess I can eat it with a fork? The guy looked overwhelmed the second I walked in at 10:15am. I was hoping to dodge the lunch crowd so I went in early. The sandwich was a disaster from the start. I asked him kindly to please redo the laying out of the ham because he just grabbed bulk slices and threw it on the bread falling out on every side. He then fixed it and after adding the produce he cut it in half without even closing the bread together. Then he rolled the sandwich in paper and when I opened it up it just all fell out since it was practically thrown in there. And no I’m not one of those customers who bitches about everything. In fact I’m working on being more assertive in situations like this. I get subway a few times a week never before at his location so I’m well aware of what I’m getting when I go to subway. THREE times in the process of him making the sandwich I was going to be walk out because it looked disgusting and terrible how it was made. Seriously not pleased with this experience. Attn owner: Marona was the person who made this sandwich. Not cool. UPDATE after eating my sandwich: Best way to describe how MARONA made it would be a taco sandwich. I’m going to guess he did this to stick it to me because I asked him to redo the meat. My desk is now covered in pickles, ham, and spicy mustard: perfect! And yes this is the first time I’ve ever written a review for a sandwich lol, and I’m hoping the last! I own a small business and I make sure every single order I send out is 110% perfect. This franchise owner needs to do a little house cleaning. Good luck.

This is your every day, run of the mill subway. However, the man who works behind the counter keeps you coming back with his great attitude! He’s unbelievably nice and always remembers his customers! If you like subway and you’re in the area, I suggest you choose this one over the other locations.

Everyone knows what Subway had to offer, but I give this one 5 stars because the owner is always super friendly and they stay open late which is perfect for college students.

This people claim to be family own. Yet don’t help the people out my wife goes in and gets charge for regular price on special $ 2 sandwich. Spoke to management on the phone bot worried about anything… never again go to this place… they are willing to miss out on $ 2 business. I go to other subways and never get over charged … Shedd y place… they are never getting my business ever again… makes it easier on me. Manager wants to confront me… hahaha haha… called and instead of offering and apology they were very confronting wanted to fight… good …at my best 245 lbs 6 foot …

Don’t waste you time or money at this subway unless you like a bread sandwich. They skimp on all the ingredients, they don’t always honor coupons, and their prices are higher than other franchises. Walk around the corner and go to Togo’s and get a real sandwich.

This is by far my favorite Subway joint of all time. As an ex-student of SCU, I know that there are two Subways within a quarter mile of the school but I always choose to go to this one to eat. The reason being that this one always gives a little extra meat. I used to order the BLT a lot and they would always heap on the bacon, unlikely the other Subways I’ve been to. The owners are also very nice and sociable. The lines to this place aren’t particularly long either. I’ve been during the busy lunch hour as well of the dinner hour and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes before being served. I highly recommend this place over the other Subway in the area. I also recommend Subway since it’s a cheap and filling yet healthy meal.(Well, potentially healthy since it depends on what you order) Also, curbside parking is available in front of the store.(Although I believe it is only for 20 minutes but that’s plenty of time to pick up your order)

People seem to like this place because it’s «family run», but I’ve not seen a good sandwich or good customer service from this place, save some friendly chatter from the person helping me. I go to lunch after the normal rush time and I invariably see the two brothers(I assume they’re brothers) smoking in the back. I have yet to see them wash their hands before reusing the plastic gloves sitting on the counter. I’m not the most anal person out there, but I find that pretty disgusting. I’ve frequently had to wait for someone to appear out of the back area or outside when I arrive, sometimes for more than a minute(like a previous reviewer). I’ve also had problems with them putting ingredients on that I did not ask for. It’s hard to scrape off mayo, let me tell you. These seem like relatively minor things(except the washing hands bit), but I’m a self admitted Subway snob and I have minimal expectations. I want my sandwich to be correct and prepared by clean hands. This location could not provide me with that, so I chose to go somewhere else for my daily sandwich.

As far as subway goes it’s pretty good, but I’d head over to a legit deli. In the three way battle for best mediocre sandwich between quiznos, togos and subway, subway is in second.(quiznos is out ahead). The food isn’t great. I’d argue they have the worst cold cuts out of the three. But their bread is pretty good and they have pretty fresh ingredients. I also like their prices. But thankfully they decided to toast their sandwiches. A toasted sandwich will always beat a regular sandwich. It just tastes better and makes the bland more exciting. Without toasting I think subway would be at the end of the pack. This subway is also my favorite. It’s family run and everyone who works there is super nice and all do their best to ensure you are happy with your sandwich. They are also open from 11 pm to 3 am on Thursday’s which is pretty great when you’re hungry on your way home from the bars. So if you live or work near here and want a quick snack then this isn’t a bad call. If not then I’d try a legit deli.

Having not been to this Subway in a while, and thinking things may have improved, I decided to go there for lunch last week(17 Feb 2011) and give them one more chance. As usual, it was disappointing and not nearly as good as other Subways. Upon entering the store, I waited for someone to appear to take my order, but the store was deserted… no customers, no staff apparent. After waiting a respectable amount of time(~1 minute) I called out«hello?» The guy that owns the place appeared from the back, asked me what I wanted, then proceeded to take the time to load loaves of bread into the oven… while I waited for him to start my sandwich!(Foot-long bacon/ranch). When he finally got around to making my sandwich, there was not enough chicken to complete the sandwich. His solution? Power on through, and give me what he had… which was barely enough for a 6″. Then, he totally skimped on the veggies, using 4 slices of tomato, and only a couple pieces of the other veggies.(He said there’s a «formula» he was supposed to follow, but he’s just cheap). I grudgingly handed him $ 5 for my sandwich to go, which had not been heated. He then told me I owed another $ 0.46(sales tax) because while the sandwich had not been heated, the computer assumed it had. This place makes the worst sandwiches of any Subway I have ever been to, and as a substitute teacher, I make the rounds of Santa Clara, Cupertino, and San Jose. Again: the worst Subway ANYWHERE!

We ordered party trays about a year ago. We had about 30 people eat it and almost everyone got sick. I was throwing up so bad that it hurt my stomach. Another guy had blood vessels pop around his eyes. It looked like he had gotten into a fight. When we told the owner that we all got sick from their sandwiches, they wouldn’t give us a refund. They offered more of their sandwiches!!! No thanks! I’ve not gone back to this Subway nor any other Subway for that matter. I will enjoy my sandwiches at Togo’s, Quizno’s or Amato’s. Be aware! Stay away!

I have been coming to this Subway location since I was in elementary school. Heck, I would just walk over to here after school ended. The owner of this place is probably the only reason why I come back every so often. He is very nice, remembers faces, and will talk to you about how your day is going. I just bought a few things there the other day and told me how he remembered me from years past. It’s located in a plaza, but parking is not hard to find. The food is great, and the service is nothing but extraordinary. He and his sons shell out sandwiches so fast that you wouldn’t even remember being there in the first place. It’s more like«How did this sandwich magically appear in my hand?» — something to that extent. If you like hospitality and great sandwiches, come here. it feels great to be counted as a «regular.»

I’m not a huge Subway fan. This location deserves 4 stars(normally, 2 is as high as I would go with Subway). The owner is a great guy who runs this as HIS sandwich shop. Yes, the sandwiches, portion control, etc are up to the corporate standard but there is a pride of ownership and the way this particular store is run that make it less Subway-y and more like a cool neighborhood shop.
