Quick and delicious! Not the most authentic Vietnamese sandwich place I’ve tried but still good! It’s a little pricier than most Vietnamese sandwiches but still great because it is so close to the SCU library. I always opt for the Vietnamese sandwiches and they have a combo deal with the Vietnamese coffee! If you’re a college student, Vietnamese coffee has the strongest caffeine, so be careful with it! Haha The place also offers rice plates, vermicelli noodles, and phở! I haven’t tried anything else besides the sandwiches but they do have many food choices! The staff is also very friendly and accommodating, so that’s always a plus! :) I would come here again!

Annie’s makes decent Vietnamese sandwiches within walking distance of my office. The food comes out fast and fresh. Based on distance, this is a solid lunch choice for me. However, compared to other Bahn Mi sandwiches, these could be bigger, cheaper, and more tasty. The atmosphere inside feels like a small deli with limited seating. It is not the most comfortable, but it does the trick for a quick lunch or for a to-go order. Although I will continue to be a patron here due to proximity, I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek this sandwich from a great distance.

This is a great find. Best Banh Mi you can get with such fresh bread.

What do I love? The staff & their Vietnamese ice coffee. I love the staff here. There are so friendly and recognize their patrons. Something many businesses lack. I enjoy their bahn mei sammies. I usually get the chicken, extra veggies, and no pâté. Their bread is perfect as it’s flaky on the outside and soft and gluten-fun in the middle. Some places serve bread that might as well be sandpaper the rough of your mouth. I digress. There is limited seating so just be aware. I usually take my sammies home or if I do eat there — it’s really to eat and go. The location is great bc when I have a long night of work ahead of me and need some help to stay up, their ice coffee is yummy. It’s not too sweet and the strong coffee flavor is delicious. I can pick up, order, and leave in less than 5 minutes. Give them a try. They will remember you next time. :)

Annie’s is great! I love vietnamese sandwiches and Annie’s is quite well balanced. They do a great balance between meat and the oh so lovely pickled vegetables. Annie’s is small, with a few tables inside and out, and quite charming. The staff are always friendly and helpful with the suggestions when I can’t decided. It’s very clean and in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood. There’s always ample parking. And you can go for ice cream after at Mission City Creamery!

As a huge fan of bahn mei sandwiches I had pretty high standards for this place. It is conveniently located close to work and my apartment and has a nice 24minute parking available on the street next to the shop. Right away I was greeted by a friendly staff and even was recommend to try the Vietnamese coffee which I was going to get any ways. The drink was delicious, I have no doubt it will get me through my long day ahead. The(grilled chicken) sandwich was soft and had huge chunks of veggies and meat which I enjoyed. I did have to ask for extra hot sauce since it felt a little dry but overall it’s great! For $ 8.70 for a drink and sandwich I’m a happy camper.

Vegi banh mi sandwich with tofu — so good. Fresh soft bread and a slight crispy crunch on the outside. Iced coffee is good and strong and sweet as expected. Friendly service. They also sell smoothies and Italian sodas.

Tasty and affordable sandwiches near campus. The chicken sandwich is my favorite. They also sell a variety of drinks which I’ve yet to try.

Go for a chicken sandwich or a grilled pork along with a Vietnamese coffee! Really small(just 2 – 3 tables) nice place but gives you a home made feeling on their sandwiches. And their coffee is the best Vietnamese version I have had in the Bay Area. PS: If you haven’t tried Vietnamese coffee before, please know it is pretty strong and will definitely keep you up at night.

Went here last Saturday to pickup 2 cold meat sandwiches and 2 Vietnamese iced coffee for me and my dad as we were both working. The lady, which was probably the owner was SUPER nice and when you walk in, it just feels right. Can’t really explain it but they have a great little atmosphere there. The sandwiches were delicious! And I know my Vietnamese sandwiches. Some places put too much pâté or mayo. This place did it just right. It tasted even all the way through and made me want to get some more! The Vietnamese coffee was not to sweet but yet it packs a punch as it should. Woke me up real nice! Would I come here again? YES! Absolutely! With so many Vietnamese sandwich shops around, this place is worth trekking out to.

Ok, not really my cup of tea. Needs more meat and less bread imo. Meat was tasty, veggies fresh and the bread was good just too much.

Located right next to the dry cleaners and Mission City Creamery, this tiny shop cannot be judged by its ambiance. Right as you walk in, tons of snacks are lined up for sale(American and Asian variety). Their menu is short and sweet which makes it easy for both the customers and the workers. I ordered a grilled pork sandwich without the peppers because I’m not a fan of spicy. The meat was flavorful but a little on the dry side. The bread was my absolute favorite part because of how crispy and fresh it was. They must make their bread daily because all they did was warm it up in the microwave, and it was still that fresh and crunchy. If they could expand their menu to include simple phở plates, then I think they’d get way more business from Santa Clara students just like me. –1 star for the ambiance

The Annie’s Vietnamese by Santa Clara Univ. is a good place to go if you feel like grabbing a quick bite of Vietnamese sandwich! There are only six choices and they are somewhat the same as the mom-and-pop Vietnamese sandwiches that I used to order, although the taste if somewhat different… The lady that works there is the sweetest, and she is the one that does everything, from cashiering to making the sandwiches. That’s a huge plus in my book!!! Indulged on-bbq pork sandwich combo#1!

Yum. Yum. Yum. The grilled pork sandwich was just the way I like my pork cooked. Not too fatty and with a lot of flavor. The owner was so sweet and nice. Overall a great experience.

Got a pork banh mi, no peppers, with an iced coffee, for something like $ 6. The sandwich was alright, nothing to write home about or come back for. The iced coffee was particularly disappointing — coffee flavor was weak and the milk didn’t help. Service was friendly, but it was confusing to place orders and then see the lady come hand sandwiches and drinks to the group who ordered after us, especially since everyone is ordering the same thing.

Wonderful, friendly service… delicious grilled chicken sandwich. Iced coffee was not good, at all. I thought I had ordered a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, but what I got was a drip coffee over ice with a little milk and a little sweetener. I have the coffee sitting here at my desk with me right now and I want it to taste good, and take a sip here and there but nah, I need to dump it out. There is no parking except on the street, if you’re lucky enough to find something. Safeway parking lot is monitored by the towing company and trust me, they’ll swoop super fast if they see you dash across the street real quick. The place is cute. They have other snacks and desserts on the counter(similar to Lee’s set up), so you can always get a side dish along with your sandwich. Im knocking 1 star because I figured a Vietnamese place would serve me Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

I wanted something super fast and easy near school so I decided to check this place out for the 1st time. Super nice lady at the front who took my order of 1 grilled pork sandwich. It’s kind of a small place so I ate at the tables outside since it was a pretty nice day outside. My order was done in less than 3 minutes which made me happy(I’m impatient). The bread was nicely toasted and crunchy, the meat was nicely seasoned and the vegetables were fresh but for some reason it just wasn’t the best Vietnamese sandwich I’ve ever had. For $ 4.89 it’s enough to fill you up. I won’t be a regular here but I’d recommend this place if you were in a big hurry and needed something to fill you up for less than 5 bucks.

Was craving some banh mi, so I decided to check this place out. This sandwich shop is located right next to Santa Clara University, so it definitely gets business from students during lunchtime. Ordered up a Combo A(sandwich, chips, and a drink for $ 6.75): grilled pork banh mi, chips and a soda. The baguette was fresh, veggies were crunchy, grilled pork was tasty… Indoor and outdoor seating. Quiet neighborhood given that it was near a university.

The ladies here are so sweet!!! They make lots of suggestions and are very encouraging of your choices you make. My type of place because it shows they believe in their products for people to devour! I ordered a pork and beef banh mi with coffee. My friend and I gulped it down in a bite and we were good to go! Also come by here to satisfy your dry cleaning needs. The store is split into a dry cleaning and a Vietnamese deli. Mmm! They also have flavors/styles of the week for phò. I’ll be back as I enjoyed the food, service, and positive atmosphere. P. s. I also witnessed such generosity! The lady was persistent in giving a college kid customer a drink. So cute.

It is a small sandwich spot run by one Asian woman who is super sweet. However, the Vietnamese sandwich menu is limited. I order the grilled chicken sandwich. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The chicken is dark meat and I usually don’t mind dark meat but I was expecting grilled. It taste different from the usual Vietnamese sandwich that I’m used to.
