Really diggin the Ramen bowl they sell here. I order it almost every time I come here now. I also suggest trying one of the soju mixed drinks that the bartender makes. Super good. Only problem I have with Musa is that it’s expensive so I don’t get to come here a whole lot. A lot of the main dishes run between $ 10 – 20 and mixed drinks can run in a similar price range as well. Still a nice place to eat/drink, four stars.

Love it! Stopped in for a late bite and found a lovely simple space. I had the corn and cheese(sounds weird tastes amazing) and shrimp skewers(flash fried with shell on so fully edible and a little crunchy, bit of seasoning finished it nicely). Service was excellent, very attentive and helpful.

Came here a bit after 1am and they were nice enough to still put in our food orders, even though they already did their last call for at 1. Our waitress and the other staff members were all super friendly and made our experience very enjoyable, and also recommended some food choices. Food was good, but not amazing. However, the spicy pork belly was pretty bomb. Definitely a must have. I also loved that they give bowls of white rice as complementary dishes! We had two bottles of soju to drink(guava and pineapple). They were yummy and slightly on the stronger side, so we all had a good buzz. Will definitely come back!

Fun K-bar with lots of food selection! Corn cheese, octopus(yummy), grilled dried squid(skip, so chewy), chicken wings(crispy on point), roti with curry(double order), and gizzard. Mango soju — so strong, need more juice!

I liked Musa, and not only for its interesting name. It’s a quaint little place, with modestly plain tables and chairs, yet it takes on a hangout lounge-like feel when the lights are dimmed and the music is turned up. When I initially walked in with my friends, the venue was pretty empty and I was so confused why everyone had said that it was a good hangout place. As the night wore on and it filled up, the ambiance seemed to transform significantly(I was honestly surprised). Service was mediocre, with younger waitresses and waiters who seemed to be a little frazzled as the night went on and the tables filled. It did take repeated flagging for water and tea refills, some prodding for orders, and a few questions regarding seating and bill. Being a hangout place, soju was obviously a must. We tried a variety, including: guava soju( ), yogurt and mango( ), and pineapple and peach( ). There were also other options, such as rice wine( ),( ) I was a fan of almost all the sojus except for peach, although my favorite would probably have to be the traditional yogurt. They were all rather on the sweet side, and there wasn’t much alcohol taste, so it depends on your palate whether you enjoy these particular kinds of drinks. Prices were on the high side, but that’s to be expected. Chicken gizzards on hot plate: ( ) This dish had surprisingly good flavor and texture, although the gizzards were definitely cooked on the crunchier side. I enjoyed the slightly charred onions on the bottom, as well as the slivered green onions on top. The portion leaned on the smaller side for the price, but again to be expected. Grilled whole squid: ( ) I was super impressed by the presentation of this dish, and squid itself was mostly cooked well. The tentacles were a little burnt for my taste, but the fleshier parts were juicy with a nice charred flavor. It is rather a blander dish, but serves well as a finger food to nibble at every now and then. I liked Musa as a little hangout spot in the area; it’s casual, but not too casual.

PEACHSOJUALLTHEWAY — THEDEETS: — We ordered the Peach Soju — Tried another flavor — Then ordered 3 more carafs of Peach Soju — OVERALL: — Had dinner with a group of friends. We ordered all the recommended dishes: Ika, Chicken Wings, Chicken Gizzards and Roti. All were good but the belle of the ball was definitely the Peach Soju. If I were to do it again I’d go simple: Beer, Peach Soju and Wings. For a chill night of drinking I’d recommend going to Musa with a small group of friends. #498

Service + Food + Came here with a bunch of friends and ordered a variety of things. The sojus were good and hit the spot, u like some places that’s just all sweet. I loved the grill octopus and the Japanese pizza looking thing. Definitely will come back. The waitress was quick with everything and the food came out fast. Can’t ask for more.

This place was pretty good. My boyfriend and I went here around 11, there were a few people there already. We ordered the strawberry soju, pork belly and the don katsu. They were all really good. The service was good too. The guy that was working there(I didn’t catch his name, sorry!) he had the tattoos on his right arm, he was so nice! He let us try the new soju that they’ll be serving soon, it was so good. Definitely a good place for a late snack and some drinks!

This review is really late, but my friends and I have been coming here pretty often this year. We really like this place for its cute korean/techno music and good drinks and delicious snacks. This review is mainly for one occasion. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday this part March here and they were very accommodating. I had called in week before the date to set a reservation for about(~15 ish people). On the day, they had the table and every set for us. We ordered drinks and some snacks. We were loud and rowdy, but lots of people were. They even let us split the check! That was super nice of them. We had brought our own cake, and they provided plates and utensils for us to use for the cake. Everyone had a great time and we will definitely be back!

Came here on a Thursday night, and it was completely empty for dinner! My friend and I were the only table enjoying guava soju and ika together. It was kind of awkward in the restaurant, so the staff turned on some EDM music for us. What’s with Korean places and EDM music? We thoroughly enjoyed the large soju and had about 7 – 9 shots each person, and were feeling a light buzz. I highly recommend the guava flavor. We saw on Unilocal to get the broiled squid, or «IKA» so we got that and also had their seafood pancake. With our guava soju, the total was a bit over $ 50! We were kind of disappointed in the price given the small portions. I think Musa is great for their yummy soju(barely tasted the alcohol!) and probably late night food… but it isn’t a go-to for dinner. There are plenty of other Korean spots in Santa Clara, and Musa is good for your late-night snackage. However, the service was chill and food came out quick. You can wear casual clothes and still feel comfortable here!

Very popular restaurant. My boyfriend and I got the seafood pancake and bulgogi dinner set with beef, black rice and some type of simple soup that appeared to be clam based(?). The pancake was very big and thick but soft and moist. I prefer my Korean pancakes more crispy so it was just okay to me. The meat was good but they forgot my boyfriend’s side of rice so we had to ask for it again. I’ve had better side veggies from other Korean restaurants. The waiter knew limited English and it was kinda hard communicating with him however, he was kind and very attentive. My boyfriend wanted the flavored soju that he saw on Unilocal but we were told by our waiter that they don’t serve it which left us very confused. I actually expected to be a lot better due to all the good reviews but I wasn’t very amazed from my experience. My boyfriend was somewhat disappointed.

If you’re looking for a less chaotic place to drink with a few friends, this is the place. 3 big bottles was enough to split between 4. Yogurt, peach(my fave), and strawberry bomb(slushy soju)

I dig it! I dig it! This place is a nice, small place to kickback and chillax with your buddies. The atmosphere here isn’t as loud as other pubs which is nice. I definitely recommend the okonomiyaki here with your beers! Yummy in my tummy! This place is definitely more alcohol based than food based though. Not too many entrees! Mainly snacks! So if you’re looking for a meal, I recommend stopping by elsewhere! But if you wanna chill, this is the place to go!

Came here on a Friday night and luckily were able to find seating. The place is small and started to fill up afterwards, but it never got ridiculously crowded like some other Korean lounges in the area. The yogurt soju($ 20 for a large) was really good! Better than yogurt sojus I’ve had at other places. But of course, that means it’s not really strong so you’re likely going to have to get some beers or something if you want to feel anything. Service seemed a bit slow but there was only really 1 person working(on a Friday night too… why?) and she was doing her best. My main issue with this place is that the music was way too loud. My friends and are basically had to yell at each other to communicate the entire time. They have a large TV showing mainly KPOP videos which are entertaining to watch, but they really need to lower the volume…

My fave go-to Korean lounge/bar in Santa Clara! It’s rowdy enough not to facepalm in embarrassment of others, but at a good level you can still talk to the person next to and across from you. The environment is a bit limited in space, but good especially when they’re blasting music from EDM, KPOP or Top 40s. The environment is decently lighted, so you’re not fumbling around in the dark or have the darkness of the lounge cloud your already existing beer goggles and impaired judgement. Drink/Food: Strawberry Soju– for all y’all that want a fruit smoothie type drink, yes they blend frozen strawberries into the soju and yeah it tastes nothing like alcohol– talk about dangerous. Kimchi Pancake– pass, lacking in flavor and needed a lot of dipping sauce for this to taste good. However, if you’re just looking for something filling and cheap this is the way! Ddeokbokki– Spicy rice cake is so good here, it’s spicy, sweet and savory! Good portion of rice cakes, fish cakes, onion slices and they even add in a hard boiled egg. Make sure to eat it hot though! The service here is a bit hit or miss, sometimes it’s slower at times than others. Generally, the service is good and the owner is super friendly she’s always so hospitable and talkative. The place can be packed so sometimes tables are taken up, the workers let you hang out by the bar with friends until one opens up(usually the case).

My new favorite place for late night grubs in Korean town. They have great food choices. My favorite has to be spicy chicken and then wings. Kalbee was okay but it was a small quantity. The hamachi Kama was a little bit too crispy but still very tasty. The spam and kimchi roll is soooo good and only $ 5 each. I want to try the strawberry soju next time. Looks yummy from the pictures.

If you’re looking for some late night yogurt soju and/or beer, you can come here! I think this place is pretty okay, I felt like it could be a lot better… The place itself is pretty small, but it wasn’t crowded or anything. Service was slooooowwwwww but I can’t blame it cause there was literally only ONE, JUSTONE person running the place. Wth?!! I dun believe!!! We got yogurt soju, and as usual that stuff creeps up on you like cray cray! Ugh! The peach/mango one was refreshing. Strawberry came out like an icee and gave me major brain freeze. The food was alright too. I wanted some fries to pick at while drinking, and they were whatever. Gahhh nothing special. The rice cakes was okay. I don’t have anything to compare it to. My friends wings looked mighty burnt. My other friends ramen looked like instant ramen w/lettuce and stuff. Yeah, the food was just okay. Good finger food, but that’s about it. Overall, I think this place is a good kick it spot. Don’t know how it is when it’s overly crowded… and if you know me. you know how I feel about places with only ONE bathroom! Haha.

More of a 3.5 stars. We went here for a bday celebration and even tho the place is small they were able to accomodate 20 of us. They only have beer n soju. We tried all the flavored soju. My favorite was the yogurt. All of them are fairly strong, you can taste the soju so u know ur gettin ur money’s worth. Food– Mussels w/spicy udon: Tasted too seafoody for me. I was hopin for a more baked mussels kinda deal. It wasnt bad, but definitely not my preference. I wouldnt recommend it. Kimbap: This was pretty good but then again Ive never had a bad kimbap. Cheese Corn: Probably one of the better cheese corns that ive had. Im not sure if it was by accident or by design. The cheese corn was crispy on the bottom and stretchey/gooey on the top, which made for a good combination. Like i said im not sure if they just unintentionally burned it a lil or if it was by design but either way I enjoyed this dish the most. Pork Belly: Thought this was be really tender. It was just ok for me but one of my friends really liked it. Dont think id recommend either. Overall, VIP is still my favorite korean bar, but this is def a close second. There were quite a few ppl there making it more lively than some other krn bars.
