Tasty hot and sour soup(contains shrimp) and really good jia jyung myun, the noodles with black sauce. I also like their beef chow fun. Always done takeout, so don’t know about the ambience, though it appears nice and clean.

This is the best KOREAN style Chinese restaurant so far. I can’t say they put out the best dishes I have tasted, but it’s the best availability option. That is not to say their dishes aren’t tasty. I loved almost all of the dishes I have ordered so far.

OK found our next favorite chinese restaurant that is Korean inspired! It’s the best of both worlds! LOVE their Ja Jiant Mian — the seafood one. They have the noodles(which by the way is so FRESH) with a over easy egg on time — and the seafood sauce on the side! OMG — it was SO good! The use a lot of onions to keep the sweetness but the combo with the cut up egg which makes it richer tasting and the seafood! SO perfect! The other dish we loved was their seafood noodle soup with egg! OMG — the flavor of the broth — the tender fresh seafood(clams still in their shells) and the AWESOMEFRESH noodles — I will go back JUST for this dish! While it wasn’t made like my friends mom makes it but given I’ve never had that version — I’m good with this version! :) The Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup — well I guess it’s super popular here but for me I didn’t really give it a try as it looked WAY to spicy! But my friends liked it though the soup spice was a bit much. We had asked for it to be milder so it’s scary to think what full blown would be like. but the other version with egg more than made up for it! :) Lastly you can’t go there with out their Korean style sweet and sour pork. We’ve had it both ways — one with sauce on top and one on the side. While on the side the pork stays crispy — I now vote for sauce on top! It infuses the flavor of the subtle sweet and sour sauce into the pork so much better. And the Korean style is very subtle — not strong like the chinese version — and they have different veggies! A definite must try dish… Definitely a go to place for our family — they do get busy but the go thru the tables very fast — service is fast and friendly. Place is nice, roomy and clean. A hidden gem! Thank you to our friend Christine who recommended it!

A bit on the oily side but the food is so tasty and very decent price. Noodles are soft and smooth. Fish is fresh. I bit into one piece if stale potato but it was covered up deliciously.

Their service is really fast and their food is pretty good, maybe the most decent in the bay area. Its not authentic Chinese food, but more of the Korean version of Chinese. The line does get pretty long but worth the wait. We ordered the jjam Pong, jja jang myun and their sweet and sour pork. The portions are pretty small but overall very tasty.

I’ve been to what feels like hundreds of these kinds of places with my family as we all have a deep love for Ja Jiang Mian, but this experience stood out for me because of the attentive and friendly service we received. Though we didn’t make a reservation(not even sure if they take them), they were able to seat our party of 7 easily with very little wait. They gave us a private room that seems designed for parties more than an average meal, with a flat screen TV and fancy lighting. We were helped by a young female server who was simply awesome. She gave us great recommendations, helped us portion things out for our large group, and was just super on top of it. There was a young guy server who was also helpful but the girl stands out in my mind for sure. As for the food — really tasty! The black bean noodles are tasty and hit the spot, and the other pretty standard dishes we ordered all tasted fresh and flavorful. In terms of menu, ambiance, or prices it doesn’t really stand out of the pack in this area, but thanks to the wonderful service we received, I left with an above average impression!

They sat someone who came after us. Waited and waited until someone finally noticed us. I gently complained — an employee said sorry insincerely. Gave us fried rice first: Other dishes came out when we were about done with the fried rice. All the employee seem so unhappy… Bad service. Food was great though.

Best korean style chinese restaurant in bay area. Their jjajangmyun and jjambbong are great — great portion and taste. I had their tangsuyook once and it was quite good as well, a bit greasy to be honest. But i really like its clean atmosphere and the food there.

The atmosphere of this place actually feels like I’m in China. We ordered mongolian beef and a dish of seafood and they were better than the most of the other chinese restaurants in the area. I’ll definitely recommend this place to others.

It’s nice to find restaurants like this. Beijing is a Korean run restaurant that specializes in Chinese cuisine. Many dishes are Korean versions of popular Chinese dishes although some are also served their more traditional style. The fact this restaurant exists attests to the popularity of Chinese cuisine but also to the substantial population of Korean Americans that has made this area of Santa Clara thrive for Korean cuisine. My weekday visit was at one of their off hour but convenient continuous opening hours from lunch to dinner. The décor is surprising upscale especially for the strip mall location. I was the only non-Korean among the patrons and most seemed to be ordering their popular black bean dry noodles or their Korean spicy seafood noodles. My order: Seafood Black Bean Noodles — $ 7.95. This is the Korean version of the Chinese dish Ja Jiang Mian and is called Ja Jang Myun(sp?) in Korean. Black bean sauce is mixed with delicious bits of fatty pork and seafood and served on the side. The dry noodles are served on the side and with a nice sunny side up egg. Kimchi and pickled daikon compete the meal. Sweet and Sour Pork — $ 10.95. Two versions were offered to me. Either the traditional bright red sauce Chinese version or a lighter orange color but sweeter sauce enjoyed in the Korean version. I opted for the Korean version and the deep fried pieces of pork were a nice crispy crunch to the pickled vegetables and pineapple that was plated on top of the orange sauce. I’m not the biggest sweet and sour fan but this was tasty. I liked the black bean noodle so much I ordered the pork version($ 6.95) to go. An unexpected highlight was the complimentary dessert. Deep fried and sugar coated sweet potato was served and absolutely delicious. A treat! Beijing accepts credit cards including Amex.

It’s strange that the crank really loud music outside. It’s the same inside except luckily softer. Mostly strange pop music. It’s nicer than i thought it would be for a strip mall space. Food from various regions if China with some Korean influence. They were out of my first fee choices. Ended up with XLB and tea smoked duck. The former were decent but the duck was a bit dry and under seasoned. Service is nice and they worked around my friends allergies. However as there are a lot of Chinese selections in the valley im guessing it’s more for convenience

My family always makes an effort to come here whenever I visit from Florida because they say it’s the best noodle place in town. We always get either the jjampong(spicy seafood noodle soup) or the jjajangmyun(black bean noodle soup) with the sweet and spicy pork. The pork dish is great. The meat is fried to a crisp and the sauce that covers it is sweet with fresh vegetables and pineapple. Dip it in soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper powder! It tastes even better(definitely Korean style). The jjajangmyun is my favorite. They give you a great portion with lots of sauce to mix in with your noodles. At the end, they even give you a complimentary«dessert», which is basically this fried sweet potato drizzled in this honey like sauce. It’s a great end after your savory meal. And of course, the side dishes of kimchi and the pickled radish is free & unlimited! Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

Despite the reviews here, this place was filled with first generation Asians that don’t use Unilocal durning this lunch hour. Soup we ordered matched price/portions and enough to get full on.

This is great place for lunch. Clean, newer venue and they have more than 30 $ 8 to $ 10 lunch specials. One unique thing is that they bring something like the Korean banchan, little side dishes that arrive seemingly randomly during your meal

Ok… so going along with my kids dinner A B C game, we were on B last night. So we drove up and back down El Camino and found this place. The fun part about this game, is that we would have never chosen this restaurant on our own, without being«forced» too. So we walk in and my kids noticed how fancy it looked. I noticed how expensive it looked. We were seated right away. Its pretty much your typical Chinese food restaurant with average pricing, but very cool and modern décor. TV’s and all. This was our order: Pot Stickers(pan fried meat dumplings 6) $ 7.50 Sweet and Sour Chicken $ 11.95 Sautéed String Beans w/Chicken $ 11.95 Chicken Fried Rice $ 7.95 With that we paid $ 42.79 for an adult and 2 kids… kinda pricey, but expected. Food was just ok. The rice was very bland and we were offered black bean sauce to top it but we declined and used a little soy sauce. Everything else was pretty good, but not amazing. We probably wouldn’t come back, only because there are so many other places to try and we wont be back on «B» for a while.

Another Korean-Chinese restaurant! It’s clean, new, modern looking, and on a Sunday evening it was popping. We had to wait a little, but seated shortly after. I ordered the jjamp bbong(spicy seafood noodle soup), my friend ordered the jja jjang myun(black bean noodle) with an addition of fried egg, and we ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings as well. We were given iced water, tea, and side dishes of kimchee and pickled daikon. The jja jjang myun is perfect for one person, although I would prefer more noodles. The fried egg was a nice touch. My jjamp bong was good, I love the hand pulled noodles! Lots of seafood, but some weird smelling/tasting veggies I don’t care for. The dumplings were delicious as well! Service was spotty, but our waiter was so nice and accomodating. Plus for the sugar coated fried sweet potatoes!
