Really bland, cold, old and slower than spreading mold. That is how to describe this place. I needed something in my tummy after pulling an all nighter at Kaiser and usually Chinese food is impossible to butcher, but TAA-DAAA! M&J figured out how to completely and totally screw up something as simple as honey chicken. Don’t even want to know how you can burn sesame chicken as bad as they did. I had to yell into the kitchen twice to even get them to come out to take my money. The ONLY reason this place got two stars is the thick chow mein noodles, which is really love.

I come here every so often to pick a quick lunch after going to Kaiser. I was going to try there Chicken Salad, but I must has been hungry after seeing there food I end up ordering a 3 combo boxed lunch. They have the usual Chinese food affair. There chow mein is pretty good and egg rolls are not bad. The combo I order had chow mein, chicken with green beans, and orange chicken. There was alot of food and for 6 bucks. I must have been hungry cuz driving back to work, I was thinking about taco bell, consider I just got food. I never experience bad service here and the guy who helped me today was very nice and whenever I pick up food from here, it has always been hot.

Dont trust anything you read on this site. The two good reviewers here must have been smoking something really good before hitting up this place. Oriental Express is horrible. The food was cold and nasty, I could practically taste the MSG in it. Teriaky chicken — cold; chow mein noodles — soggy and tasteless; teriyaki sauce — gross; lemon chicken — disgusting. Everything else is average at best. Salad was okay, the dressing wasnt so good. To top it all off, I got the chicken bowl that usually comes with rice. I asked to sub the rice out for chow mein, and was informed thats 30 cents extra. After agreeing to this and paying, halfway through my meal the counter lady comes up and tells me that she forgot to charge me the extra 30 cents. After I told her I dont have 30 cents on me, she said ‘pay me next time’. Customer service lesson: If you screw up and dont charge the right amount, its your fault. Eat the 30 cent loss and dont bug the customer. Overall, bad food, bad service — would not recommend to my worst enemy. Wondering if the other reviewers were on one… P.S. Why do I have to give them at least one star? This place deserves none…

I know authentic Chinese food, and I would have never stepped foot inside a place called«Oriental Express», with its steroypical«Chinese calligraphy» font and all. It just screams Americanized/Mr. Chau type of Chinese fast food. But one day, my friend shared some of his takeout dinner with me, and it was really good, so I asked him where he got it from. My jaw dropped when he said, «Oriental Express.» They still have the Americanized dishes like sweet and sour pork, etc. But some of their other dishes are very good, much better than Ranch 99’s takeout. My favorite is string bean chicken. Pretty much all their chicken and vegetable dishes are good. Their beef quality isn’t so great(but still way better than Ranch 99).

This was a great break from the standard lunches at Yahoo! although the 4 hour meeting attached to it was not as great. They offer a variety of foods from China and Japan, which is helpful for indecisive eaters like me. We had pad thai, chow mien, kung poa chicken, spicy tofu, and lemon chicken. I know I sound like a total pig right now, but I was hungry. If I were to go again I would deff. get more pad thai, but not lemon chicken. Guess it wasn’t their specialty. All in all a B, but an A as a break from the caf.
