I really wanted to like this place. It is on my way to work and I love kabobs. The food did not taste good. I had the chicken kabob and minced ground beef kabob with rice. The chicken was very dry. Not good at all. The ground beef not much flavor and the rice tasted old. I just tossed it in the garbage. That’s how bad it was. Have to find another kabob place.

I had great hopes for this tiny Hallal, hoofa restaurant in a shopping center next to a popular Mexican taqueria. I ordered fafallel balls, 5 for $ 3, cheep but bland, a pass for next time, a chicken gyro and a pita, which was stale; and a sharma. I also got a $ 6 pkg. of apricots. These were great & imported. They also sell dates. One man was there, an Iranian man here for over 20 yrs was almost nice. Besides, they weren’t Thank goodness no one there was smoking the hoofa there.

First of all, the owner is awesome! He is so friendly, but the place is not very classy and shiny. Food, I had Koobideh Kabab Wrap and Falafels. Prices are very fair. As a Persian who was raised eating Koobideh, I liked the Koobideh. I can confidently say one of the best Koobidehs I had in the States. Falafels were also good, not the best though! It could totally get five stars if the place was nicer and the bread of Koobideh wrap was less oily!

We were looking for a place to eat after a movie on a saturday night and am so glad I found this! I ordered for a shawarma plate and I enjoyed every bite of it. Moved to the patio area and ended up staying back for some sheesha and tea. Will be back soon!

Kabobs were really dry and not good at all. The hummas also tasted very chalky. I don’t recommend.

Great place for an afternoon shisha session, patio is lovely and you don’t feel any pressure to leave. Owner is very friendly and relaxed. The tobacco flavors weren’t plentiful, but the ones they have were great quality. The shwarma here is very moist and flavorful. My husband got the combination shwarma and was very happy. I got the steak kebab but it was pretty tough, didn’t want to finish it. Their falafel however is very tender, tastes very fresh! We also got the hummus and baba ganogh but neither one was that great. Overall, stick with the shwarma, felafel, and shisha and you can spend a long happy afternoon here.

Great place to chill out on patio with some good Mediterranean food and hookah! Not a high classy place but neat and descent with delicious food. Owner is from Iraq and very friendly. Of course a good friend too!

The food was horrible. not clean place. There is no way these reviews above are true unless this place has new bad management and my experience doesn’t reflect the previous owners.

Very delicious food. Best shawurma lamb/beef I’ve ever tried so far. Also try plate with chicken breast kebab — awesome!

We had Chicken Shawerma plate and Ground Chicken Kabob plate on a Sunday afternoon(Valentine’s day, actually) and the food was AMAZING! The chef was very cheerful and accommodating. There was not much wait time and the food was cooked and presented very well. My wife was not a great fan of Middle Eastern food, until she had the Kabob in this place. We will be visiting here again!

Pleasant owner, good price for the food but not authentic Persian flavor for the koobideh plate, more like Arabic. Lamb/beef shawarma wrap is very good, will come back here again for this only :)

Delicious food. Good portion sizes. We ordered the Kabob Koobideh, and a Chicken & Kabob Koobideh combination platter. We’ve had Mediterranean food quite a lot, some great, some better-to-avoid. The food at this restaurant falls in the good to very good range.

Tried lamb shank, it was Ok, not great. They have hookah starting @$ 10/$ 12/$ 15 for ½/3 person. Tea is good. Will have to wait to try something great to recommend it.

Man what can you say about this place considering its outspoken owner… Only that it’s awesome! I have been coming to KHH since 2009 when my cousin Kevin lived in the neighborhood. From the first visit when Wajid came out from the other side of the counter banging plates together imploring us to eat to the time we sat on the patio and discussed his life in Iraq and how much he loved what Americans did for him by eliminating the ruthless Sadam Hussein who personally harmed his family I fell in love with this place. You can feel the passion in Wajid in fact when we discussed Hussein he began to kick the bottom of the counter in frustration over what terror he wrought on his people. When I drive by I still honk and yell out his name and he waves at me each and every time, I’m sure the neighbors must think I’m some loon but hey it’s all in love for my man Wajid. Ok so what about the food. I’ve done the lunch buffet countless times and though the offering/selection of food is smaller it’s always done well and fresh! If there isn’t something in the trays he’ll make it fresh and deliver it to our table outside. The bread is absolutely to die for and he brings it on a round wicker plate that just screams of the Middle East and somehow transports you there. In addition to the buffet at lunch I have also had his Sharwerma, Falafel and Koobedieh wraps and they are delicious. I always plan on eat just one but I inevitably order another for good measure! Pricing is very reasonable and even if it wasn’t what I get out of the engagements with Wajid are worth the expense. Come by and visit with him, stay for some food, learn about life in Iraq and hey puff a little hookah while you’re at it!

I just came back from this place and just threw all the food in the garbage because it’s disgusting, my wife and I ordered 2 beef kabob with rice, and salad. I am Lebanese so this is my food & I’ve eaten Mediterranean twice a week for all my life. the beef was burned & completely black, greasy & uneatable. The meat was old, and scary. The rice tasted strange. The grilled tomatoes were also burned. The salad vegetables were old, probably left over from last week. The hummus had a layer of oil sitting on the top, bigger than the hummus itself. The restaurant is dirty, everything he works on it dirty. He handles money and then cooks with the same hands without washing or gloves. This guy gives a bad name for Mediterranean or Persian food.

Fresh delicious food! I always go to viva taqueria right next door and finally switched it up. So happy I did. Food was fresh and delicious. #15& #19 is what we had and they were both on point. Could do less rice and more hummus. That was so tasty! Dipped everything in it. Baklava was also very satisfying. Will go back soon.

A whole in the wall restaurant that turned out to be a surprisingly unique spot. Went there with my boyfriend late(round 10pm) with the hopes the we could grab a bite to eat and smoke some hooka. We had the concern that nothing would be serving food past 10. We were so lucky that this was in our neighborhood and served food and closed at 1pm!!! The chef was willing to make any accommodations for us. He set up a hook for us and then proceeded to fire up the kitchen. There is a bar right next door, a laundry matt, as well as a liquor store. After smoking a little and eating, we wanted to walk around the neighborhood and told the chef we would be back. After 20 mins we came back and he restarted us up another hooka to give us some fresh flavor. He sat outside with us and we meet a friend there who regularly visits and had a nice chat. He too confirmed his regular visits to this local place and we soon became friends. This place would be great to go hooka with and snack on some yummy middle eastern food!

This is a hidden gem. We found this place by accident and I’m glad we did. Everything is done by one elderly man. He’s the cashier, server, and cook. You go in and seat yourself. Once you’re ready to order, you can go up the counter and advise what you’re going to have. Each dish is cheap, delicious, and is prepared in big portions. We especially loved the way the meats were prepared. They were juicy, tender and flavorful. I couldn’t ask for more. Each platter(Koobideh and Gyro) that we ordered came with a hefty serving of long-grained rice, salad, and hummus. Our kids loved the maroon-colored seasoning that they provide for each table. My 2.7yr old really loved the beef. We would definitely done here again. I would’ve given a 5 star if not for the concern on the place’s cleanliness.
