Growing up in Australia. Turkish Food was extremely popular. Being able to eat what seems like Turkish kebab pieces with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread is a satisfying meal. Never really busy and you can only see one server serving the whole restaurant… Props to her! I usually do get the lamb or beef rice plates just because those in kebab form are indeed the best. The meat slices are thin and tender and really go great with the sauce provided. They also serve unlimited pita bread to go with the hummus that is served as well. The salad could be a little more tastier but it still goes well as vegetables for the meal. I really like the plate layout of just the four items on the plate(As shown on my picture). Prices range around $ 10 + tax and tips which isn’t too bad for a complete meal. My GF says the meat here is the probably the best mediterranean meat around but probably because of how it is cut in a way. easily eaten in a bite size formation. PS: Was hoping there would be more Garlic involved in the rice plates just because I looooooooveee Garlic.

Food is good. Our go to place when hungry and want a quick fix. Don’t expect a stellar ambience. It’s just another regular eatery. Not disappointing thus far.

Fair food for fair prices. The food was pretty tasty. Nice mellow place for a casual lunch on a weekend.

Came in on a Saturday lunch time… Deserted. Odd. Smell of bleach was not really enticing. Ordered falafel, and I am now convinced they are not made locally but reheated. You can find better somewhere else. Had the doner plate and it was god awful salty. Also had the Adana(sp?) and the meat was ok. Would not return. Unclear to me how they got such great reviews.

My old high school girl friends & I ended up here one Saturday. We wanted a halal restaurant and this place had good reviews. The place was deserted on a Saturday afternoon. We were a bit apprehensive, but ended up sharing an appetizer combo plate & a couple of combo kebab plates. The lady taking our order was not very friendly. We got our own waters and utensils and waited quite some time for our food given there was no one else in the restaurant. The food was actually pretty good. We got two baskets of pita alongside. The hummus and baba ganoush were both creamy and tasty. The crowd favorite was the lamb kebab though the others were decent too. The falafel was pretty dry. A got a Turkish coffee that was very very syrupy. Even though the food was good, I’m not sure if any of us would go back.

Awesome place, nice ambience but less manpower. At least at the time when I was present only one was there to cook, serve and to bill. Food is good, tasty and nice.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Arrived around noon and was welcomed with the smell of bleach?!? …at least the restaurant was clean, although empty… Started off with the Eggplant Salad as an appetizer which seemed to have been half-reheated from the fridge as it was still cool(below room temperature) …is this dish supposed to be served warm?!? …at least it came with a side of bread that was warm. Moved on to the lamb kabob wrap which was decent. The lamb kabob was flavorful and juicy. The wrap was of a decent size and had plenty of vegetables inside. ~$ 16/head after tax for lunch.

Best Lahmacun in the US. Hands down. Most of everything else is great too(can’t really go wrong with any decision here). However, there are a few items that i think needs to be fixed. 1. The water glass cups needs to be cleaned better. 2. Adana needs more meat. 3. Rice pilav is mushy, needs to be cooked better turkish style and not in a rice cooker. Service is relatively fast, they cook most of everything there, so it will naturally take more time, as good food will always take more time to cook.

The food was delicious and the employee working was so nice. She brought over hot sauce and waters without us even asking and was just a really sweet person. I got the ground lamb wrap and my husband got the lamb kabob wrap. Both were delicious. The ground lamb was seasoned great and the sauce was yummy.

Bomb ass food. I always get delivery from here. Their fast fresh and super tasty. I would recommend the donner combo plate and a side of falafel. Most places the falafel is so fried you can t taste the flavor but not here. So full now…

Not pleased at all with my delivery experience. Placed an order online via (had to go directly to the site because Unilocal app wasn’t working) because I thought it would be convenient. Ordered spinach salad, and requested an 8pm delivery time, 45 minutes after I had placed the order. Received a call at 8pm saying they had run out of spinach salad and only had lettuce. I hate romaine. Was willing to finally settle for mixed greens after girl on the phone realized mixed greens isn’t lettuce. Are you serious? You couldn’t have called me when you were receiving and processing the order? I requested a delivery time well after the normal order and you can’t even deliver on that promise? On top of that, they didn’t give me a single utensil with my takeout order. Something so basic you couldn’t even do that? Was already in a bad mood hoping some good food at the RIGHTTIME would make me feel better, but this whole experience made me feel so much worse.

I come here for the Turkish Pizza and this was the first place I’ve ever tried it. You get two pieces for $ 5 bucks. The only place I know you can eat well with family and won’t spend too much. I come here regularly so I can only speak of dinner time. I’ve come here with family so often that the cashier recognizes me. Turkish pizza will get you full and you wouldn’t feel fat afterwards. It’s basically a pizza without the cheese and tomato sauce on a thin baked bread with toppings on it. we usually order two for appetizers. Parking is sorta easy to access but it can get busy at times because there are numerous other business in the same plaza. This restaurant is tucked in the corner and on the right so keep on eye out.

I cannot believe how well review this place is! I would literally pay money to be able to add negative stars to this«restaurant» I love Mediterranean food. I can’t remember a bad plate yet. I ordered the chicken platter dinner, large salad and dolmas. The chicken was completely inedible, I would not give it to my dog. There was ZERO flavor in anything. Also, almost cracked my tooth on the olive in the salad. I threw it all in the trash and I’m writing this review from Carls Jr. Terrible.

We’ve ordered the chicken kebab platters for take-out about three times in the past two months. The food is fantastic. Everything is seasoned very well. As a point of comparison, try to imagine a take-out version of the former Afghani Restaurant that used to be in Sunnyvale. The chicken and the side salad are very good, and the rice is among the best I’ve tasted anywhere. We also tried some sort of eggplant dish(it’s similar to a stew… I don’t know what it is called), and it was fantastic. And so is the Nan bread. It’s a bit tricky to find. It’s in the back corner of a small strip mall on the northeast corner of El Camino Real and Calabazas in Santa Clara.

Stayed in SJ last Monday; had a very late dinner. I was driving aimlessly around Santa Clara, trying my best to stay away from Cocohodo and Honey Berry and I succeeded. I did stop to see what bookmarks I have. This place was calling me. You cannot see it when you are on El Camino so drive cautiously and turn in the plaza as soon as your WAZEGPS said, «You have arrived at your destination». Don’t try to look for the place, don’t hesitate, just drive in, and you will see it. It is located in the far right corner. pretty much a hidden gem. The place was empty when I walked in. It was past 9PM. I was reluctant to order at first but right off the bat, the girl that greeted me and ultimately took care of me made me feel very welcomed. So it was late and my last meal occurred about 9hrs ago so I was starving. I looked at the menu billboard and ordered enough for two people: one small order of falafels and a combination plate(rice, salad, hummus, gyro, and chicken). The meal came w/complimentary pita bread. Roughly 10 minutes later, I cleaned everything. Was conversing w/a cool ass guy during my meal and I remember texting him to say that I could have easily inhaled the plate, too. And that I was still hungry. I know– my appetite is appalling. The girl noticed I did not order a beverage so she got me a cup of water. I was dining solo and what I ordered was plenty but she still asked if I wanted more pita bread. Now that is service! The falafels are a must here. It was crispy on the outside and not a hint of dryness on the inside. The tzatziki sauce was subtly thick and tangy. I hella enjoyed it. My combination plate was great. The plate had about ¼c of rice(not too much guilt for this dish). The chicken was a tad dry but the gyro was delicious. The hummus had a kick to it. I did everything in my power to finish the hummus and I succeeded. Sketchy parking lot(I was hoping to not get stabbed or robbed). There were a few large group gatherings outside. The crowd was questionable but car was safe and I clearly am alive and doing well. Definitely would come back.

I had my best lahmacun(turkish pizza) ever. This is my often stop by place. Its located on el camino and this strip mall has lots of parking lot so easy to park your car. Ambience is oky, they play 80 – 90’s classic music. Service is good and friendly stuff. I’ll try other items next time.

Lahmacun and veggie kabobs are fantastic here. Buffet and grilled meats range tend to be just OK. But it is so worth it for the $ 5 lahmacun. Very thin crispy bread, light layer of flavored ground lamb and enough salad to wrap up in pieces of the lahmacun for a satisfying light meal or appetizer to share. The veggie kabob plate is huge. Salad, rice, babaganoush, very generous amount of grilled zucchini and a large veggie kabob with mustrooms, peppers, and onions. Large open area, clean, and free wifi. Great place to study or do laptop work during non-busy hours.

I came down here after reading Unilocal reviews. The outside may look ghetto, but it has a nice, casual ambience inside. Good for family or a small group hangout. I enjoyed their Mediterranean culinary. I would have given 5 star but cutting it down to 3, just because the chicken in the Chicken Doner Plate(also referred to as Chicken Shawarma by the staff) was chewy. Salad was good and fresh, with a good mix of lettuce, tomato, onions, cucumber and parsley. Humus was delicious with a spicy center and yoghurt drink was just awesome. Overall, I would say its a place for decent food, just keep your expectations low on freshness.

Came here after watching an episode of No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain when he was in Istanbul and he tried lahmacun. The wasn’t a buffet on a Thursday afternoon around 1p. I ordered right away however it took quite a while for the food to come out. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush. Now the most important question… Was it worth the wait… Answer: Absolutely! The flavor of the ingredients, the smokey flavor of the crust and its crispy texture all make this pizza like food a must for anyone. This one came with a salad inside and not the arugula that you may be used to but it was excellent. The price of the meal was $ 4.99 plus tax and it hit the spot just right to keep me rolling through the afternoon. So if you’re in Santa Clara and you want to grab a cheap bite that will fill your belly and leave your tastebuds screaming for more then head over to «Garlic» and grab a rolled up torpedo of goodness!

This place is a real treasure! All of the ingredients are fresh and seasoned beautifully and everything tasted delicious! I am so glad to have come here. We ordered the lamb-beef doner platter and lamb kebap platter. They booth came with fresh salad, yogurt-mint sauce, hummus, rice and side of warm pita bread. I felt incredibly good and energetic after eating my meal here — that’s definitely good sign and I will be sure to come back. The restaurant is divided into two sections. One side close to the entrance and another enclosed, more private area with a television broadcasting shows.
