When you want to go «old school» this is THE spot to go! So many people, including me, are looking for the next new hot spot. BUT if you are hungry and want to leave stuffed, you have got to give it a try! You get a relish tray with ranch while you decide on your dinner. This is big meat so go for the Ace or Eagle Cut Prime Rib! So good! It comes with Soup AND Salad AND Rolls. The Entrée comes with some sautéed veggies AND a starch so eat light before this meal! Todd the bartender will make you a great drink, I make mine a Martini. Dim lighting, red booths and a long bar as the focal point. This is the unofficial 19th hole for the Municipal Golf Course and one of Santa Barbara’s hidden gems. Of course us locals know all about it so make sure to call for a reservation as it gets packed! IF you have room for dessert and I am telling you, it’s a very rare event, they have Mud Pie which is soooo good! Come hungry and roll out the door full!

Old school bar/steak/seafood restaurant that will take you right back to that era of 1960’s steakhouses with the wraparound, high-back, diamond tuck upholstered booths; familiar staff that is experienced and on point. Prime rib served several ways, other traditional cuts of beef, lamb chops, fresh seafood, crab legs, lobster tails, etc. They also have great burgers and sandwiches, if your not looking for dinner with all the trimmings. Full bar, stiff drinks, bartenders that know what they’re doing. Whenever I’m hungry and driving through Santa Barbara, this place is one of my go-to’s!

Two martinis, relish tray, soup AND salad, wonderful bread, juicy Prime Rib and a flaky baked potato with all the butter, sour cream and chives one could ask for left right on the table for you to help yourself to. Lordy, drive me home before I can no longer walk. No, wait, I need another martini.

Tri tip sandwich, steak bites, onion rings and bleu cheese salad are a few of my favorites but everything served is excellent and oversized

The bartender was extremely rude. They don’t serve Coke so I went next door to purchase a Coke. When I returned the bartender took it from me because he accused me of bringing in an outside beverage where alcohol could possibly be in it. We’ve come here for years when in town. We will never come again. They lost good customers!!!

Prime rib looked outstanding I wish I had ordered that. The waitress was very nice. I ordered steak and Alaskan crab and the crab just came in a sauce. Overall good atmosphere.

I love this place. I’m such super full by the time the main course comes out but I still power through it. Hah. I always get either a steak or prime rib and they never disappoint. It’s like $ 50/$ 70 a person depending on what you get but with that you get starters– celery/carrots/peppers(for dipping). Soup(they are both really good but I love the one with the meat in it) salad, bread rolls and your main entrée. Definitely a returning customer.

We came in with great expectations and overall were disappointed. The drinks were strong and there was a lot of food, but those are pretty much the only perks. We had to ask the bar tender about our reservation after waiting at the front for over five minutes, walking around the restaurant not knowing where we were supposed to sit, and not being acknowledged by a single staff member. Out waiter was(to be polite) very curt, and the food was very pricey. One of our prime ribs was cooked properly and the other came out overcooked; the scampi was good and the shrimp were large but I was surprised it wasn’t a pasta. At the end the waiter didn’t even bring out anything for my dad’s birthday, which I had asked for at the beginning of the dinner. For marketing itself as a high end steak house(and charging as such), unfortunately Tee Off missed the mark.

This place is outstanding. The ambiance is right out of a 50’s gangster movie. The bars serves the strongest(But really good) drinks I have ever had at a restaurant. The food(Prime Rib especially) is EPIC!!! Don’t just show up. Make reservations, it can be difficult to get in on weekends, but well worth the wait.

As much as I love the Tee-Off, my dinner was not up to par. No knock on the waitresses. Those ladies work hard to take care of you. No, this is either on the Kitchen or the quality of the beef. Stoli Martini, awesome! Potato Skins, awesome! Relish tray, awesome. Clam Chowder, awesome! Salad with blue cheese, good. Ace Cut Prime Rib, first attempt at medium rare came out medium well. Oh no! Two orders at our table sent back. Awesome waitress replaces both in record time! Replacement medium rare is just not as good as previous visits. Not sure why. Maybe not enough salt, not as tender quality of beef now a days, or all of the above. A disaster by no means. Just not that first bite, eyes roll back in your head experience I’ve come to expect. A good night out with the family anyway. We will return another day. The Tee-Off is too good to give up on.

Solid steak restaurant — old school feel, stiff drinks and a great value. Entrees are served with soup+salad included. The restaurant fills up early on weekends — for prime rib. Get there early/make reservations if you want the prime rib.

We’ve had an amazing dinner tonight. Gina could not have taken better care of us. Still one of the most wonderful places to bring guests to when they’re visiting

We’ve had hit or miss experiences with the Tee Off. One night, on a whim, despite living nearby for over 7 years, we tried this rather classic restaurant and loved the prime rib(lobster tails were small and overlooked). So, weeks later we had a birthday dinner here and it was good but not great. Weeks after that, we ordered the prime rib to go and it was utterly terrible. I can’t believe the cooks couldn’t smell how off the meat was, or maybe they did and didn’t care since it was«to go.» In any event, we threw away $ 80 worth of food and, despite the offer of a refund, haven’t been back yet. We will watch the reviews and if they return to the quality we enjoyed the first time we would try again because we would love to have a quality steak place near San Roque.

Don’t get their Filet Oscar; steak was not good. Bone in prime rib was excellent that’s why it averages out to 3 stars for tonight’s meal.

Hands down, BESTPRIMERIB in the whole county! This place is known for their«Double Eagle» cut of prime rib, which is a 2 rib, 40oz chop of meat! Every year we have my birthday here, Double Eagles all around! Their staff is great in hosting our large parties! Even when it’s not a party, we get together double eagle night and it’s always great! Also try their open face prime rib sandwich, a nice thick cut for a bargain!

I love this place. Yes it can be very loud and busy but it only adds to the hole in the wall strip mall old fashion steak house feel of the faux red leather booths and dim lighting of the Tee Off. I’m not a huge meat eater but when I desire some I’ve had amazing steak here. The bartenders and wait staff have been here FOREVER and are great. Many times we just saddle up the bar order a great(strong) drink and get some potato skins before heading off to a movie down the block. I often recommend the Tee Off to tourists looking for a steak house that is a notch above the rest and has a different feel than most of the restaurants in SB.

Excellent chow and service in an old school, yet warm, setting — love this place! Sourdough rolls fresh from the oven, tasty clam chowder, chilled salad w/blue cheese dressing, NY Strip cooked medium, fries, and double chocolate cake. .. not to mention a generous pour of scotch on the rocks beforehand. .. DAMN! Throw in friendly service(thanks, Gina), friendly locals and a comfortable ambience. .. love this place! Cheers! RL

I cannot believe I was not only in SB18 years, but for 14 of those years within 2 minutes driving to the Tee-Off and I only just went to this SB institution(set 1956) on Labor Day for my first time. I loved everything about this place and while it is not THE best prime rib I’ve eaten(Wianno Club in Osterville MA and Four Seasons Phoenix deserve that title, at least in my adult life), it’s a strong B+ prime rib, maybe B+/A-. But for the value? There is nowhere except Vegas(the city of cheap good prime rib) you can get a dinner like this with salad and sides at the price point. Everything everyone says about the décor is true: dark, tablecloths, old real lanterns and red leather booths. The servers are older and wonderful and many have worked there for years. It’s a trip back in time – and that includes the price. I wanted prime rib and so did my boyfriend so we decided to get the Eagle Cut for 45. It was enough for FOUR people. Not to be believed. It was like a live cow arrived at the table and called to mind Denis Leary’s bit on vegetarians in «No Cure for Cancer»(1993): «Forget that, bring me a live cow. I’ll hack off what I want and ride the rest home!» It was quite lean in parts but when I got the leftovers home, I realized there was a large portion which was quite fatty. The terrific server, Gina, whom we tipped 30% because the bill came to what struck me as an embarrassingly low number pre-tip(62 dollars), brought 5 kinds of horseradish, ranging in intensity and creaminess. The fresh bread is hot and addictive with heavenly sweet butter I could eat by the cup. The Caesar is terrific and since we didn’t get one of the sides, they brought us each a salad. I had a house vodka martini which was more than decent(not Ketel One or a top shelf booze) and boyfriend had a Stella. The veggies are a bit overdone but the rice pilaf was excellent and you can choose mashed potatoes, a baked potato or fries if you wish. If we had tipped 20% rather than 30%, this gargantuan dinner would have come to 36 per person with one drink each. Unheard of. As it was it was 40/person. Free parking so think of it as the money you would have spent on valet. Next time, we will split the Par Bake(30), which will be more than enough for two. I want to try the chicken(19), next time. The club menu is lower-priced with a 13 or 14 buck burger. When a restaurant stays in business nearly 60 years, there is a reason. In the case of the Tee-Off, it’s terrific food at terrific prices and friendly, efficient service. I look forward to our next visit. My boyfriend’s favorite dessert is cheesecake and theirs is apparently terrific, but he was stuffed.
