Small bar so it can get a little loud. Dining tables are small as well, good for larger groups combining tables but to close together for one on one dining. However the food is good. The sweet potato fries are wonderful. I do recommend the outside tables.

We where in from out of town” Monterey«and just looking for a place to meet the MOTHERINLAW for lunch. And she had recommended this place after finding it on Unilocal I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. It was quite clean, off the beaten path a little, the staff was very helpful and very pleasant. We had asked for some recommendations and they where quite helpful we tried the Beef stroganoff, it was fantastic! This has become a go to place on our return trip 2 Santa Barbara

Bottom Line: The smallest $ 13 salad I have never seen… and I have been to Beverly Hills at least three times i get really irritated with many Santa Barbara establishments and how much they feel they can charge for food in this town. Everyone wants to charge LA prices for food that’s not LA quality. This place has good service, it has a good location and all of that but charging $ 13 for a handful of spinach with a little bacon and apples tossed in — it had better be mind-blowing and huge. It was neither of these things. The salad was good — the spinach was fresh and the blend of the dressing along with the apples and bacon was really nice. I really enjoyed it. It was very balanced with tons of flavor. However the size of the salad — I had to ask my wife if she had ordered the half and I was arriving late but she confirmed that it was the full. IMHO it was a $ 9 salad on its best day. I finished the salad and I was still hungry — now this is partially my fault as I stand 6’3230 bls, a medium sized salad isnt going to fill me up. I liked the plate, but for what would cost them .50 more in the way of spinach and apples would go a VERY long way in value.

Had a great time here for dinner with friends. It was really neat to see the manager out on the floor with the rest of the staff, and he was very friendly with diners. Drinks were great — the happy hour is a good deal! The marg’s were strong and only $ 4! Dinner was excellent — we had the calamari to start. I had the prime rib special on a Friday — SOHUGE, SOGOOD! The rest of my party had burgers and sweet potato fries — they were very happy with their orders and portions. Thanks Nugget! We’ll be back again for pre-movie meals when we go to the Arlington.

My husband said the margaritas were good(I don’t drink sooo I’ll take his word for it) I say the filet Mignon I had was good! Soup, salad all yummy but the stuffed jalapeños were pretty awesome!!! Best part of all was the great service we received from such a young staff. Michael C. was our server & even the young bus boy is pretty awesome. If you haven’t tried this place… give it a shot

There were 6 of us and we all got different dishes– all came out good! Good size portions, flavorful food. Loved their seared ahi tuna, clams and linguini pasta, ribs, shrimps. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit SB.

Needs to get it together — not sure what vibe it’s going for. You just can’t take the country a block from the Granada and Arlington and make it work — it needs vision and leadership AND well… I don’t see it lasting.

I’ve been to this place handful of times and I have mixed emotions about it. Every plate of food I’ve ever ordered has been just mediocre nothing really sets it apart. I wouldn’t go to the nugget if I have a strong appetite for something delicious and satisfying. On the other hand I think their staff is great, very friendly and attentive! Theyalways in good spirits seem like you’re having fun and engage their customers. Oh yeah and they know how to poor a good stiff drink.

The Nugget has great food, great wine, a casual welcoming and a atmosphere. The only thing that would make the nugget better is if they served jalapeño hush puppies with tartar sauce.:) Ruben and his staff run a first class operation! We also love the nugget in Summerland.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Happy hour daily. Jalapeño poppers are made in house, extra spicy! Great bar!

Loved this place! Took my mom to Santa Barbra on a whim for her birthday and couldn’t find a place to seat us at 6pm on a Saturday night. Walked into the Nugget after touring the town and they say us right away! The Unilocal reviews weren’t awesome but we were famished, so we gave it a go. The service was awesome! Ryan, our waiter was very attentive and(I’m assuming) the manager was very friendly and glad to serve us. The food was delicious(ordered Rib eye and New York steak) the drinks were strong and the atmosphere was overall very welcoming. If definitely return!

We were in town for a wedding. Clam chowder was the soup of the day, so we ordered two cups. One was visually different, so much that we asked if it was clam chowder. We were told by our waiter and manager that only one soup is made per day and I must have got the cup with more clams. We ordered the meatloaf entrée and fish and chips. The meatloaf tasted like ketchup and the rice pilaf was dry. We asked for a side salad with the fish and chips and got the salad but no chips. The food tastes frozen. Our waiter felt bad but failed to check on us. Dissatisfied for sure!

The in-laws took us over the weekend to dine here. FANTASTIC, yummy, and wonderful. I ordered an adult beverage, holy Toledo it was amazingly strong. Soooooo good though. I also had the shrimp and baked pitatoe with the veggies. Everything we prepared and seasoned to protection. I am a picky eater and want things prepared in my specific way. My husband ordered the cowboy steak. Mouth watering, juicy, and again served to protection. I would give this place 8 stars if I could. The staff was quick and very responsive. We will definitely be back again.

After dining here several times for happy hour I can honestly say they’re pretty darn good! But why only 3 stars? Well the customer service is kind of wacky to me and confusing. Do I order at the bar or is there a waitress? I’m still not clear on that! The bartenders are great but if they’re busy behind the counter then good luck getting service. If there is an assigned waiter to my table then I sure don’t remember them because they don’t come around often. Happy hour is from 3−7pm daily, with house wine, draft beers, and well cocktails starting at $ 4. Appetizers are 20% off. What a deal! I tried the beef sliders and they were delicious! The meat was cooked perfectly and they were nice and juicy. The potato skins are kind of hit and miss as they can be a little dry at times, but I’ve had them before where you could tell they were freshly made. So guys if you’re reading this please keep it consistent and give us the freshly made skins just like my picture looks! Thank you :) The sampler platter is not too bad if you want a taste of the buffalo chicken wings, chicken«nuggies» nuggets, potato skins, chips and guacamole. It’s $ 12.95 with 20% off during happy hour. My friend let me try her seared ahi tuna and it was really good! It has a nice cajun seasoned crust which I liked. Overall I like this place and I will continue to come here for happy hour in hopes that I get better service. Better service = more stars **

I had the chopped steak for lunch with the veggies and cole slaw. The meat was perfect, and the veggies were still crisp. The slaw was light and not gloppy at all. Great basic food that is prepared so well. Nothing froo froo about this place!

The food is forgettable– I seriously don’t even remember what I ate! I think it was either a tri tip dip or pastrami sandwich, but all I can tell you is that it was boring meat on a bun. I went with a group of friends who also did not like their food. One friend ordered the crunch burger(based on Unilocal reviews) and the english muffin was not crunchy. Bad advertising or poor execution? I think bad advertising. Another friend got the bacon blue cheeseburger, and noted that there was only a few crumbles of blue cheese. Bad advertising or poor execution? I think poor execution. I would not return except to try out the happy hour, because it’s hard to screw up beer and jalapeño poppers(I hope!!).

I like coming here for happy hour but I notice every time I come the food quality is always different like today I ordered potato skins with no cheese? Told the manager and he got mad at me. I think they just lost a good customer.

I am really happy that The Nugget is now in the spot where Arlington Tavern used to be. Great location and great food. I really love how friendly the staff is and how quick the service is. I come here often on lunch or to order to go for dinner and I rarely wait longer than 15 minutes. My favorite go-to on the menu are the sliders; they are DELICIOUS! I also recommend the french dip, it’s classic and yummy.

Great location not quite as touristy as a little further down on State St. and the parking lot is right next to it. Our waiter, Nick was wonderful and super friendly. The food was delicious! Will certainly become regulars!
