A Saturday brunch visit here for myself my brother and parents. Think whole food/Starbucks meets a quaint café. Community seating. Ambience is very laid back, with a coffee bar and salad station. Also included are a place to order sandwiches and other staples, such as the item guy fiery ordered a turkey fritter. Food was good, everything is organic/humane. Fresh juices were excellent and cold brew coffee is offered. French toast and the«Naples» sandwich(fresh mozz evoo, greens, sea salt on ciabatta, I added ham) were very good. Be prepared to wait 15 – 20 minutes to get your food on the weekend.

Excellent meal, price and atmosphere. Had the«guy plate» which was a great combo of things I wouldn’t normally order, but was very tasty.

Smelled good, clean inside, this place should be good, right? Nope. Confusing menu and when I ordered they served the wrong entrée. No problem, they fixed it. Then, the prices don’t match the menu. Way over charged for what it should cost. We started eating our food and«this is interesting»… Nothing tasted like it should. The spices were all wrong, dairy in what was claimed a vegetarian salad, just… underwhelming. The corner store sells dog food and at least you know what you are getting there. Needles to say, I will not be back.

Pesto green beens, chicken curry, all desserts and the salad bar are all excellent! They have a great tea selection as well. Great overall ambiance.

Clean, comfortable atmosphere. Lots of seating, attractive place. Definitely pricey. I enjoyed the Gibraltar sandwich, but for $ 11.83 I wouldn’t visit again on a normal occasion. There was a wide selection of fresh sides as well. It’s a café with a plus that’s for sure. Enjoyed my lunch but $ 30 for two people seems a bit much

This was one of my favorites to visit on the way to work Downtown. Offers a bounty of fresh farm-to-table options. Both a fresh salad bar and deli. I recommend sitting at their tea bar and enjoying some loose-leaf options after a meal. They also offer a variety of to-go options for those in a rush at the deli counter. The food is extremely high quality and the staff is friendly and attentive. Noise level is low, so this is also a good place to meet with friends and treat visitors from out of town. Savoy has a simultaneously chic and rustic feel.

This place has a great market /deli feel which makes it unique in SB. The food is great and the deli-counter style make for a casual atmosphere. On top of that the staff is very pleasant. In a small way reminds me of a place that would feel at home in my beloved Reading terminal market in Philly(unlike the disaster that is/was the public market in SB). This is also a great place for kids. As for the food: there is a really nice salad bar and deli case with all kinds of curries, osso bucco, etc, and creative salads. They also have a nice sandwich selection: to order.

This place is every kind of Awesome. It’s such a No-brainer to have a place like this in SLO and especially CAMBRIA, I wish… Soup and Salad Bar… a hot deli, cold deli with entrées, salads and sides a sweets display case with yummy baked goods… gluten-free, vegan, organic everything… a coffee and tea counter, a cold drink wall cooler, and plenty of self serve seating. I was there during off hours and there were plenty of tables. Just a lovely atmosphere. The canned music was a tad bit loud.

I’m from the Pacific Northwest and back home coffee is a big deal. The vanilla latte I just had was the best coffee I’ve had since I moved to California two years ago. So pleased with the quality of coffee. The tables are sticky and could use a wipe down, but the people and coffee are amazing. I’m gonna have to try lunch next time.

One of my favorite places in Santa Barbara. Hands down. I eat here probably twice a week(I have a problem I know) and it never disappoints! The salad bar is AMAZING. Fresh, organic with tons of options! They always have a vegan soup which is great since I’m dairy intolerant. There’s also tons of grab and go options, great sandwiches and homemade dishes. Staff is usually friendly and there is always room to sit inside and outside! Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy place to have lunch or dinner.

This is a great little café in Santa Barbara, hidden away and a little difficult to find but very worth it. We stumbled in here on a Saturday afternoon when we needed a quick lunch to take with us on a road trip down to Los Angeles. It looks like they had an option for a sit-down meal where you order at your table, but they also had a great deli counter and a HUGE salad bar with lots of interesting options. I ended up making a salad with artichoke hearts, kale, quinoa, sweet potatoes, beans and stuffed grape leaves. There were also plenty of protein options, including chicken, tofu, salmon and steak. Cheeses, nuts, seeds, interesting dressings… I could have spent forever trying to decide what to put on my salad. We ended up getting two large salads and a container of cut up cantaloupe for about $ 22. Good food for a good price. When we’re back in Santa Barbara, we will definitely be visiting Savoy!

Just like everyone I agree that this place is super cute. Vegan friendly! Make sure to walk to the back and pay for your food there. They will give you a number and bring food the food to you.

We came to the Savoy for lunch on a Sunday, and it was busy but not uncomfortably packed. We liked the wide variety of options. I had the vegan burrito, which was packed with good stuff like tofu, sweet potato, and avocado. They had some vegan baked goods as well, but I was too stuffed to try any! Solid location for a casual and relatively healthy breakfast or lunch.

Solid gourmet deli in Santa Barbara. I love that they list their organic items on the board right where you walk in. They have a salad bar with great specialty items like sun dried tomatoes, hearts of palm, roasted garlic different nuts/seeds, as well as the usual veggies and greens. It is $ 10.95 a pound, which is pretty steep considering the salad bar is not totally organic. The case has some great prepared dishes as well. I got the forbidden rice salad, which was organic black rice with sweet potato and some other veggies and it was great! The ambiance is nice with a small fountain in the center of the dining room. Overall, Savoy café is a good, casual healthy food stop in Santa Barbara. Glad I found it.

Savoy is a cute café and deli. They have a little of everything — a grocery store, a deli, and a café. I didn’t really get to sit down and check out the place as I came to order a sandwich to go for lunch. They have seats inside and seats outside in the back. The back faces a parking lot but they decorate it with plants and such to make the ambiance better. Service was great even though I was ordering to-go. The barista was friendly and asked me if I have been helped when I was waiting near the pick-up counter. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with everything on it. The sandwich took a bit longer to make than other sandwich places but it was delicious and fresh! I will definitely be back but I would like to try some of their dishes such as The Guy Plate.

This is one of my best breakfast recommendations in Santa Barbara. I first came here for an Axxess deal over a year ago and I was so blown away by the HUEVOSRANCHEROS that I keep coming back, and I never stray from this dish. The tortillas are beautifully crisp, the beans are super flavorful, as is the chunky homemade salsa that tops the usually perfectly cooked over easy eggs. The other breakfast items also look delicious, but I strongly recommend the huevos rancheros. Also, they’re house coffee is outstanding! They also have a delicious sandwich menu and deli. I’ve had a couple sandwiches and never been disappointed, and they’re deli salads are fresh and delicious. I think they use all organic products too. The plus… the staff is super friendly too! And they have an axxess BOGO offer. I haven’t tried dinner yet but I plan on it.

3.5 stars. I don’t totally love, but I totally like… and therefore, round up to 4.0 stars. Went for the salad bar, but it really didn’t look too interesting($ 9.99 per lb). Instead, I opted for the item featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, aired originally on the Food Network, 3÷5÷2012: . Turkey Pasilla Fritter($ 12.95) — mainly chopped turkey, pasilla chilies, jalapenos, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, egg, mayo, salt, and flour. A very generous portion, quite good, but I was bored after 10 bites. They offer a Guy’s Special, 2 sides(Quinoa Mango Salad and Pesto Green Beans) and ½ slice carrot cake, but I wanted to pick my own sides. Mac & Cheese and the Pesto Green Beans for the same price, but no carrot cake. Sides were good, but I wouldn’t order this again. Fascination over.(3.5 stars) AMBIANCE: good energy, good spirit, woodsy, bright. FOOD: good selection of ready-made comfort food, sandwiches, and a 25 item or so salad bar. SERVICE: very nice, very helpful. MUSIC: live guy on accordion. Odd feature, but interesting. BAKEDGOODS: looks amazing, but didn’t try. GOINGBACK! The story of Paul and Cathy Shields is a good one. They got a second chance at owning this business, and I wish them continued success.

I’m a fan you will be too! It’s a lovely place filled with charm and loads of organic yummy-goodness. The service is sweet, friendly, and caring. Very much the warmth you would expect from a family run, local food spot. I was impressed with the selection of prepared and freshly made food both for lunch and breakfast. I love the inside courtyard feel with fresh cut flowers in each table, the bright airy feel, the lovely water fountain, and the soft French music lighting the air with happiness. Their salad bar is loaded with organic goodies, an excellent variety, and it’s so fresh! The deli counter is just packed with bright gorgeous options. For the tea lover– welcome to an excellent selection of fine, organic, delish varieties of green, black, and white teas. Before I mention any ideas for improvements lets note more bonus points: free wifi, sea salt on the tables, delish GF bread options, organic ketchup, and seriously sweet service… Now here’s why I only have 4-stars– the food while good lacks wow factor. I felt the 4 breakfast options I’ve tried as well as the GF baked bread was on the bland side. I am looking for more explosive flavors and rich tastes. Please season more, add yummyness to your impressive menu of wonderful items to match the incredible feel. Also the fine teas should have a better water temp system, most fine teas require less heat and the flavor of greens especially become bitter when paired with nearly boiling water. I know I am being so critical, but the best ones need a lil harsh reality check to improve and live up to their full potential. And if anyone think that Whole Foods offers better food selections as one review I read wrote, perhaps your tastes aren’t quite so refined… I’ll always choose local owned, fresh, organic, and independent over any corporate run greed motivated options! Truthfully I am a fan, a big fan and will happily return often and have no problem adding some sea salt to my food and enjoying every last bite…

I like the idea of this place, the location, and the atmosphere. But is the food anything to write home about — no. It’s convenient to have a fairly healthy yet casual option for dining along State Street, but I’d rather eat at Whole Foods Market. The buttermilk chocolate cake is very good and the carrot cake is a runner up, in my opinion, to the one at Natural Café, which is more moist with larger chunks of walnuts and more shredded carrots and richer cream cheese frosting. Cookies and muffins are also far, far better at Whole Foods. This place is best if you work nearby and want to grab breakfast or lunch with coworkers. Or if you’re tired of Whole Foods and want something close to a homemade meal. 3.5.
