Worst customer service ever. I’d describe it as almost hostile. They just don’t seem to care at all. If you’re lucky enough to not be treated horribly you might end up having a decent but overpriced pizza.

The service is terrible. If you order a ready slice you’ll be fine, but if you order a whole pizza, prepare to wait for an hour. This is by far the worst Rusty’s location in Santa Barbara.

Worst restaurant service by far in The whole Santa Barbara! They don’t give a shit. Period point blank. 10+ employees can’t even make one pizza! Go here if you wanna wait 1 hour for 1 pizza!

If I could I’d give it 0 stars. Waited for one freaken large pizza which took 40 minutes. They even had 4 people on the job and we refunded our wings because they told us 30 minutes later they don’t have wings. Worse service award.

My brother ordered a med. special for us to share. Some special, it was literally the smallest pizza I have ever seen. I got 4 small pieces that were smaller than the palm of my hand, I’m not kidding. $ 18 for 8 tiny pieces of pizza. It tasted okay, I guess, but now I have to go find something else to eat to fill me up. There are so many better deals for pizza around SB and Goleta, I will never ever go back to this rip off place!

We ordered a pepperoni pizza and med spicy wings. The pizza was good, but not great. Was a bit cardboardy but it was still good. Wings were meh… Probably wouldn’t order the wings again but I’d still definitely come back for the pizza!!! Paid like $ 22 for med pizza and the wings. They definitely should lower the price!!!

I love pizza but this place has got to be at the bottom of my list. I ordered the large Rusty’s special for around $ 20, and it was not good Dough tasted like cardboard and the toppings were still partially frozen. Definitely not a good experience for my first time there. Service was fine but the pizza is definitely not worth ordering from my standpoint. I wouldn’t try them again.

Impressed with their menu display. Counter person was extremely nice. Very clean place. Ordered med Rustys special and salad. Took our pie home and enjoyed it and great bottle of wine. It was yummy, fresh and totally hit the spot. The salad we ordered with it was also fresh and made the dinner oh so healthy — well at least a little less guilty. Don’t be turned off by the dimmly lit parking lot or the shady Von’s next door — this place is as good as it gets this side of Santa Barbara.

From what I hear, those raised on these pies will hold rustys up to any pie out there Without hesitation. While from a service point of view the hesitation can be all to common the el diablo pizza is a good mix of flavor. Greasy lovers will enjoy to the max. Decent pizza for the high price

I may have some bias in this review because I have been eating Rusty’s pizza for as long as I can remember. My dad was a member of the Santa Barbara Jaycees some 30 years ago and we used to have the annual Christmas party in the upstairs banquet room at the Carrillo Street Rusty’s. I can safely say that Rusty’s is my favorite pizza around here. I usually get a Meat Mania or Rusty’s Special on thin crust, and I have not found another pizza place in town that has a pie to rival one of those two. That being said, I also recently tried a slice of their regular crust pepperoni, and it was horrible. I guess the bread makes all the difference, and I would encourage everyone to try the thin crust if you get a Rusty’s pizza. I do think they are way overpriced, but I guess they get away with that because they don’t have much competition. If we ever get a Pizzeria Uno in town my allegiance to Rusty’s will promptly die.

I have been eating Rusty’s since I was in the womb. No joke! My Mom ate it while she was pregnant. I love it. Maybe it’s in my DNA, maybe it’s better than any other pizza on earth. IDK. I remember coming here after soccer games or practice, for friends bday parties and on my lunch break when I finally grew up. This review is sort of for all the locations since I love them all. I picked this one because people are hating on it and it’s just not fair. Yes, it’s cavernous and very dark… it always has been and you just have to get over it. The only thing I will concede on is the salad bar. It needs more options. In general their pizzas are flat with delicious sauce and generous toppings. I do not like a lot of dough.

I’ve eaten pizza all over the country. Pizza is as different from region to region as the taste of water, you might not believe it could taste so different… until you taste it! What one local considers«The Best» is truly based on what they have grown up on and personal taste. That being said, let’s move on to Rusty’s I had a small cheese pizza with sausage –The crust(1 of the 3 major components of pizza) has no flavor –The sauce is a bit sweet but passable for pizza sauce –The cheese is the right amount for me, not as high quality as I prefer, not enough stretch and a little bland –The sausage is the little turd shaped type, too crispy by the time the pizza was done $ 10 — a decent sized meal for 1 but not a happy experience:(

My friend and I stopped here and got a pie. We opted for the veggie pizza. It tasted normal, nothing astounding or horrible either. However, we will probably not go there again, as the pizza did a number on both our digestive systems. That was not so pleasant. Funny too, since there wasn’t even meat on it… maybe something in the cheese. Anyway, the décor was forgettable, the salad bar did not look interesting. I was not really impressed by the price either. Our large veggie pizza was 20 bucks. I’ll go to dominos or something next time and save some money and digestive discomfort…

I went here once with a friend and I can safely say if they didn’t deliver, there’s no way the could stay in business. Place was dank, but in a not gross way. Just poorly lit and somewhat cavernous. Pizza wasn’t amazing, fresh and cheesy though. Their salad is pretty much what you would expect, iceberg, iceberg, iceberg with bland, fatty dressing.
