Papa John’s Pizza

Got screwed over! Ordered online and got a good deal which was voided when I used my Axxess card. No (!!!) heads up from the store employee. He just wasted my «first time 50% off the entire bill» deal. When I discovered it myself it was already too late. The hole was punched in the card and there was no way to get back to the online deal. I gave them the chance to prove that they value their customers by sending an complaint but after 3 emails back and forth it was obvious to me that I am not honored as a value customer. Thank lord there are plenty of Pizza places in town so no one depends on Papa «incompetent» John’s in Goleta!

cancelled delivery order after waiting 2 hrs for it. ordered through sbmenus. ive ordered on sbmenus for many other places, many other times, and ive never had a problem before papa johns. ive had papa johns pizza before, and its mediocre. add horrendous service, and thats 1 star.

Rest of So Cal PJ’s gives 50% off the day after a LA Kings win. Not this location. Owner making mistake. Bummer. I’ll update my rating when the Goleta store jumps on board with the rest of SoCal PJ’s and LA Kings specials. Let me know when you do.

Worst delivery service I’ve ever encountered to match the worst pizza I’ve ever encountered. Took 2 and a half hours to deliver pizza less than a few miles. Stay away from papa john’s. Tasted worse than frozen pizza from Ralph’s. Would put zero stars if I could.

I ordered directly from their website today (don’t order through SB menus) and got my food just in time for lunch! Thanks Alex for delivering my pizza & being so friendly!!!

I went back because my boyfriend wanted to give it another shot. There wasn’t a bad wait (our pizza and breadsticks were done by the time we hit Goleta from downtown) unlike last time. Everything was great! The service was good, the staff was friendly, the pizza taste like it should. Don’t use SB Menus, just order off the papa johns website!

I’m writing a review because I’m actually shocked by all of the low reviews for this location. My husband and I have gotten pizza here probably a dozen times and we’ve never had any problems. Sounds like the main trouble people are having is with SB Menus, not Papa John’s. We order online with the Papa John’s website and our order is always delivered within the hour. Their website is very user friendly and there’s no middleman like SB Menus to screw up your order. And the pizza itself is delicious. Try dipping it into the garlic sauce, it’s great!

I hadn’t had papa John’s in years so I figured I’d give it a shot again. Waste of money. I got the living social deal to give it a shot and had to fight them to redeem it. When I showed them the voucher on my phone, the guy asked his boss if I get my pizza for free. F*cking ridiculous. I had to tell him it was already paid and what the voucher was for. The pizza was okay. Not amazing. Not bad. The service was sh*t. Just go elsewhere.

I’ve never had an issue with this location. And I think it is because I drive to the location and pick up my food. Here is a thought, most of the really bad reviews have to do with delivery times. Why not hop in your car, drive to Goleta, which is really only 10 – 15 minutes away from anywhere in Santa Barbara, and get a fresh pizza right away instead of waiting over an hour and getting a cold pizza.
Just a thought.

We order online and get a Monday deal.
The pizza was just fine, but the customer service was no bueno.
Even I tip them into the tip jar, the cashier didn’t say anything, like thank you or enjoy your meal.
I guess they don’t need tips? Or they just don’t care ?
I will go back again, just get a 50% off deal.
But that’s it! I won’t tip them!

I ordered through SBMenus at 340. it wasn’t until 620 did my pizza finally arrive. I called twice and all they could say was sorry.

Hannah showed amazing customer service when we ordered our pizza and the app wasn’t working. She and her coworkers were super polite and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning soon! Great tasting pizza too!

I called for delivery and asked what the specials were. The girl on the phone wouldn’t tell me the specials, and said I should look online. I asked her whether she could just provide me with the specials they had online, and she said no. Rude.
Went to domino’s instead. not disappointed.

BEWARE STUDENTS! I highly recommend NOT ORDERING Papa Johns on a busy weekend unless you want your order to never show up[UPDATE] I was just contacted by one of the owners of SB Menus, who was very apologetic and sincere in his phone call. He reassured me this is a rare situation and encouraged me to try out SB Menus again by providing me with a $ 10 credit towards another order. I’m definitely willing to give them another shot! Not so sure about Papa Johns though…
This was the first and LAST time I will ever order from Papa Johns. I received a coupon last Friday from SB Menus advertising for Papa Johns with a deal that was 2 thin crust pizzas and 8 wings for $ 11 from Jan 30-​Feb 1^st. I went to find the order through SB Menus online several hours before the Superbowl game, and I couldn’t find the offer.
I then called Papa Johns to see if they would still honor the deal (because that’s what you do for good customer service/​advertising) and was surprised to find out they RAN OUT OF thin crust dough the day before and physically couldn’t honor the deal anymore because they didn’t have product. They responded by saying they were offering another deal that was 2 XL pizzas and 16 wings for $ 20 through SB Menus, and when I asked them about wait time when I called (2 hours before the superbowl) they said it was only 30 mins.
I then proceeded to go back online to SB Menus to order their new deal. I went through the ordering process and purchased the $ 20 deal, and then waited for my delivery.
I waited almost an hour and a half before calling Papa Johns, because I knew it was Superbowl Sunday and I was sure they had a lot of orders. When I called, I found out that my order was CANCELED due to too many SB Menus orders. The worst part? No one notified me that my order was never going to show up, even though my card was charged and my order was completely processed. It seems the issue here was Papa Johns was not prepared for a bunch of hungry college students on superbowl sunday.

2 stars only because if you have a coupon the pizza can be really cheap. Better than frozen store pizzas. But definitely not better than dominos or little Cesar’s.
However, every time I’ve ordered I have had some type of problem. Most recently I ordered a medium BBQ pizza and some extra sauces. Pizza took an hour and 5 minutes to arrive. By the time I got the pizza, it was cold. Not even luke warm. I could tell it had set out for at least half an hour. They also did not bring the sauces I paid for. The time before that burnt breadsticks. Time before that soggy pizza. Time before that, forgot the sauces again, that again I paid for.
The pepperoni is also weird tasting. It just doesn’t have much flavor yet it is super greasy.
They put the toppings under the cheese and they usually don’t cook thoroughly. I would ask for them to put the toppings on top so they get cooked like the rest of the pizza.
The breadsticks (when they aren’t burnt) are really yummy.

First time we order from here
Pizza was cold and the cookie was burnt.
We might try one more time only because after popping the pizza into the oven it was good as for the cookie there was no saving that it tasted burnt

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Called for delivery at 9:03pm and now it’s 10:30 and they just got here. I called back at 10:03 to see where they were and Scott was very rude over the phone and just said they were swamped. Neither he nor the delivery driver apologized for taking an hour and a half to deliver when they are only 3 miles away. The pizza was very sub par, too much greasy cheese and pepperoni tasted weird. Not to mention it was cold by the time they got here. Never ordering from this place again.

The cheesy bread was Ok but the pizza! We got the BBQ chicken with bacon and may I say it’s probably one of the best! Strongly suggest trying.

Papa John’s. By far a better pizza than dominos or Rustys. They have only been open a week so give them time. Pizza is good hot and my kid loves it. Staff was friendly and courteous was a fast delivery and only a $ 2 charge for delivery as apposed to the $ 3 or $ 4 from other places. Keep it going guys and I will continue to be a customer. So, delivery took over 75 minutes.
The pizza was cold and the toppings were all in the middle. I ordered spicy chicken wings and they were bland. The wings were so small, barely any meat on ‘em. Their Ranch was sub-​par.
Not impressed with this new addition to our neighborhood.
Oh, and the pepperoni tasted funky.
