I first came to Leo for a massage after I had thrown my back out. I called a number of masseuses in the area, and Leo stood out above them all. He spoke with me on the phone at great length to get a feel for my back problems, the conditions under which I threw my back out, and my history of injuries to understand if it was a good idea to massage the area, or if it was better to approach with different treatment. He was very sensitive and careful when massaging the area, he checked in with me the day after to see how it was doing, and ultimately my back felt much better in the days afterwards.
Since then I have been coming to Leo regularly for massages. Even after moving to Ventura, I still make the trip to see him. He is very knowledgable and skilled, and most importantly he is a kind person who genuinely cares about your health and will discuss holistic approaches (lifestyle, nutrition, etc) to the problems that manifest themselves in sore muscles.
I have now recommended him to many friends and family, all of whom rave about him as well. I am convinced he is the best there is!

I have been getting regular massage for the last 10 years, during which I have lived in 4 different states and 6 different cities. Lets just say that I have learned that finding a good massuese is like looking for a significant other… and a lot of ‘relationships’ just don’t work out. Sometimes I’ll blow through 5 or 6 different people in a particular area before I find someone suitable, and sometimes I don’t find anyone at all.
Leo is quite simply the BEST masseuse I have ever been to.
When I 1^st started seeing Leo he was actually still affiliated with The Massage Place. I remember back in late 2012 calling them to schedule an appt with him and they informed me that he no longer worked there. I panicked. Not even knowing his last name at the time… I basically stalked the internet for dudes named Leo that did massage and I eventually stumbled upon an email address. I ended up connecting with him and was able to visit his new location on State St… and the match in heaven was made.
I always went in for an hour of deep tissue when I saw Leo. I wish I could give you some detailed educated description of why he is so amazing. I can’t. All I know is that every time I went to see him there would be this point about 30 minutes in where I would feel absolutely and perfectly relaxed… every single muscle in my body felt like it was melted into the table beneath.
I moved about a year ago to San Diego… and let’s just say I am currently abandoning my 5^th masseuse… which promoted me to hop on Unilocal and give Leo the credit he deserves. I really hope for my sake that I can someday find someone else who can compare to the quality of service Leo provides. Until then the search continues.

Leo is the BEST masseuse ever! He used to work for another company and when he left suddenly, I couldn’t find him anywhere. Leo has his own place now and truly knows what he’s doing. He is passionate about what he does and he makes sure you leave feeling 100 times better. He is a master!

I was treated by Leo today. I originally found him by way of Groupon and scheduled a Swedish massage. After he began to work on me he realized that I needed more firmness and adapted his technique to address some much needed trouble areas. To speak to his clinical expertise he was able to integrate a comprehensive trigger point, deep tissue, and myofascial as well as swedish modalities.
As he begin to discover the trouble areas, he was able to provide recommendations for treatment and prevention. He’s very knowledgeable about the anatomy — and does a compelling job educating clients on healthy treatment plans. He is very trustworthy and demonstrates a high level of clinical acumen as it relates to massage.
He is also very personable!!! I highly recommend Leo for your therapy and treatment!

I’ve had back problems /​sciatica for quite a while and have been to many therapist, by far Leo has been the most knowledgeable and has helped me the most. I have been to his studio several times and as long as I continue to feel better I will continue to be a return client. He is very professional and maintains a very clean relaxing environment.

My boyfriend is a 3-​D artist so he stays hunched over a keyboard and was having severe neck pain, he has been seeing a lot massage therapists and said the 90 minute massage was the best massage he’s yet had and Leo had a lot of advice to help him prevent sore spots.
