Great experience here today when my nose piercing came out. Staff helped me pick new one and put it in for less a price than I was expecting. Will definitely be back.

I came by on Friday to get some questions answered about an existing piercing I have and Ricky was professional and put me at ease with any concerns I brought up. I definitely felt like I was a priority while I was there, which made me come back the very next day for some new piercings. Unfortunately, Ricky was not there that day, but Sarah and another woman were there and I got 2 earlobe piercings. Sarah was patient with me while I took forever picking out jewelry. I settled on a Neometal light purple opal for one earlobe piercing and an Anatometal light blue opal for the other. Sarah was so pleasant to talk to and made me feel at ease during the entire process. She made sure I liked the placement marks and she let me know during which breath out, when she would pierce. My earlobe piercings turned out great and I love them! I definitely plan on coming back to order jewelry through them, get jewelry for my other piercings switched out, and possibly more piercings. Both times I came, interacting with 2 different piercers, I felt very satisfied with my experience there. I would definitely recommend coming here for any piercing needs.

My wife and I stopped in here on our 10 year anniversary trip to Santa Barbara. Josh was super professional and explained everything to my wife making her super comfortable. Top notch service by him and his front counter staff. Super nice! Super friendly staff! Would recommend to everyone looking to get any kind of piercing. Clean, lots of pieces of jewelry to choose from. Everyone that was seen before us was treated great and we’re all satisfied.

I got a simple earlobe piercing here and had a great experience at the shop. I realized later that the earring I chose was actually a tiny gauge, however, I was never informed of that information and ultimately would have NEVER chosen that earring. I would’ve had a very positive experience at Golden Eagle if they had just informed me that the earring I chose was a gauge.

Update: had a gnarly situation where I woke up and one of my lobe piercings had been halfway pushed back through the hole with the back fastener still on; needless to say it was both painful and gross. I, of course, immediatley freaked out that the piercing was ruined. Josh was super chill about it, pushed it back through and gave me a longer rod because of the swelling. He told me to come back in a couple weeks when the swelling went down and he would change it back. The whole situation was handled very professionally.

This is the only place in SB you should go to get pierced. Josh is recognized by the the Association of Professional Piercers and definitely knows what he’s doing. Listen! Getting pierced is something you should research and be sure is the right thing for you/your body. You can do all that, but still be super nervous. Well, fret no more! Go see Josh! You will love the feel of his shop. Plus, you will have plenty of options for whatever type of piercing you want to get done. Josh even helped me pick out the best jewelry for my face. Love it. I was super nervous(not my first piercing) and I think he picked up on this and still entertained my questions. Not only that, but he went over everything I needed to know and walked me through the entire piercing process. I felt like this guy was the coolest ‘doctor’ I had ever been to. He even let me bring my hand-holder boyfriend into the room. I think my questions lasted longer than the actual procedure. Why was I so nervous? Pain? What pain? It was over the second it started? I went in without making an appointment and he still took me in. There was a client waiting, yet he seemed to be able to courteously multitask. The shop is just super clean. I felt really good about choosing this place and so should the next client. Thanks Josh!

Went there for the first time today and was very happy with my experience. Friendly, informative service in a clean shop — can’t ask for much more. They also have an excellent selection of very nice body jewelry.

I have been to Golden Eagle multiple times now, and feel like I can give a logical and fair review. The first time I went in, I just changed my conch earring. I actually went in with a friend who changed her cartilage earring. It took less than five minutes to do the actual changing, but my friend and I agree that they were an extremely painful couple of minutes. I know my piercing was in a more difficult location, but I’ve gotten it changed before, and it didn’t hurt half as much. I recently just got it changed again, yesterday, and it hurt just as much as the first time. My conch earring is more than two years old, and I just checked it, and there is a puss ball in the back of my ear and a scab in the front. In all two years that I’ve had this earring, I have never had problems with it, even when I first got it pierced. My ear is extremely sore at the moment. The people that work here are nice and manageable, and they claim to know so much, but as far as I’ve experienced, their ‘knowledge’ doesn’t seem to pay off.

Josh and Johnny are very professional! They will take the time to answer any questions and walk you through care instructions. I highly recommend getting your piercings here. Josh has pierced my eyebrow, nose, lip, and bellybutton. I have always felt comfortable and have always been happy with my piercings, and I’ll be going back for my tongue piercing next!

So great! I have quite a few piercings and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. The staff was so, so awesome and answered all of my questions no problem. They went over after care with me more than once, and gave practical advice that I’ve had to ask for elsewhere. Some say it’s expensive but I would say it’s very reasonable for the unique high quality of the jewelry and the amount of knowledge and radness in the piercers. I won’t ever go anywhere for a piercing OR jewelry to go in my existing ones!

This is by far the best piercing studio I have ever been to. I have 13 piercings, so finding a studio is not something new to me, I will not just go anywhere because it’s cheap. I have had not so good experiences in the past where piercings have rejected, but not here! Back in 2010 I got dermals on my hip — typical I know, but I still love them today. This was before they were as popular as you see now. Anyways, I knew I was in good hands with Josh. Matter of fact, it was my old roommate who got her eyebrow pierced there, she was the one who recommended Josh as a piercer. The studio is VERY clean, & is unique, has that Santa Barbara cottage feel — it’s located upstairs above the tattoo parlor. What made me trust Josh is that I know he is passionate about what he does, & he truly is knowledged — you don’t hear many piercers talk about the Association of Professional Piercers. The piercing itself did not hurt at all — I actually remember LAUGHING while getting it done! He is that good! I still have the piercings today, & I don’t think I’ll ever get them removed. I have heard from friends that their dermals reject, but not mine. They do get irritated once in awhile, but that is because my pants rub against them. Overall, these healed up perfectly! I HIGHLYHIGHLY recommend going here — very worth it.

I went golden eagle for piercing I’ve heard good things. Went there to get my septum peirced. I only had $ 60 when I went in, the body peircer told me it was $ 65-$ 80. So I left to go get some more $. I came back before it closed. I picked a piercing that was $ 80. He cleaned it up n signed paper work. At the last moment I change my mind on which piercing I want so I asked if I can just have the standard instead of an expensive one. He moaned and groaned. Gabbed the paper work made it into a ball and threw it away. He told me we had to start over. I asked him saying isn’t that one cheaper? Shouldn’t I get money back? I gave him $ 100 for the $ 80 piercing And chose a $ 65 peircing instead. He yelled n said Nooo! They are all the same prices ! Except one was $ 65 and it wasn’t flattering. $ 80 for a septum really? I tried to tell him he told me $ 65 a couple hours ago. It seemed like he was ready to explode! So I just kept quiet. I shouldn’t have spent so much now that I think about it. The guy knew what he was doing and was Clean but was a total ASSHOLE I’m never going back again. Other places charge $ 65-$ 80 depending on the piercing. $ 80 for a standard piercing?.,. I didnt even get a fancy one. I got ripped off badly! I’m pretty sure his name is Josh.

Update: I went back. Josh(who had helped me the first time I was there) was there. As before, he was super friendly and knowledgeable. I got my nose pierced and Josh gave me a longer rod for my cartilage for free! When I mentioned having to wait the other day, he apologized profusely and gave me a discount. Josh works on tuesdays, wednesdays, and saturdays. I most definitely recommend him and it seems like it’ll definitely be open on those days! I’m raising it back up to 5 after the great service I got! CALLAHEAD!!! And don’t go until someone picks up! When I did get my piercings here(both lobes and one cartilage), I had a really great experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! I would totally go back… And I did. I went at 2 on a monday(an hour after they«open»). When I got there, there was a sign on the door saying that they wouldn’t open until 3. I don’t live close and it was the only day I had free, so I decided to wait. 3 came and went, as did about a dozen other(potential) customers. Finally at 4, someone in the tattoo shop downstairs got a hold of someone(after numerous calls) and came out to tell me that the piercer was stuck in traffic and wouldn’t be there until 5:30. At that point I left. If it was only for my first experience, I’d give 5 stars. If it was only for my second, I’d give 1. So I’m giving a 3 to average the two. I may try to go back and if I do, I might be willing to raise the score considering I was only willing to wait two hours in the first place, because I had such a great first experience. Just be wary and call ahead!
