Popeyes

Was craving Popeye’s and this is the closest place. We wanted to get some tenders. They had a sign on the window 10 tenders for $ 13.99. So that is what I ordered. The guy behind the counter told me that it was cheaper to order two 5 tender orders. So, on his advice that is what I did. Service was a little slow, but our order was as expected.

The last time I came here was a disappointment. My chicken came out cold, so the main stars of the show were the hot and fresh mashed potatoes and biscuit.
The customer service was also terrible, the person taking my boyfriend’s order just generally seemed bored and there was just a lot of standing around despite there being a lot of customers in the establishment.

Every time we come here Destinee helps us n every time shes amazingly sweet & always tells me about the specials. The food is so good I luv my cajun & although its unhealthy it has a clean taste lol new grease I guess. I like clean places to eat my food at & its always clean! Thanks again Destinee

Great deal! I got 3 Tuesday specials, which have 3 legs and 3 thighs in total, and a small drink. It only costs 8 dollars! Super friendly staff, the location is really really clean, too. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. I personally think it’s too crispy and the chicken is not as good as KFC, but compared to dirty KFCs, this Popeye location is much better.

Always fast and friendly service at this store. They seem busy all the time, and that can add time to ordering and receiving order but not because of their fault just busy. I drive farther to this store, than the closer store on 1^st street, because the 1^st street/​Harbor Popeyes day time store manager is not very nice. It’s worth the extra time for me, to not do business with undeserving stores and give the more deserving stores the business.

Tremendous fried chicken. Not too greasy. Beats KFC any day of the week. Love the apple pie for dessert. Enjoy!

My fave fried chicken I just hate that the restaurant is so small but I take it home most times

I ordered a bucket of 9 pieces of chicken here on a Thursday night around 9:40PM.
Quick service, lots of people were there which was strange to me haha
The chicken was dry. Food was mediocre. Service at the counter was great though.
Anyway, the 9 pieces of chicken was $ 12.99
Tasted the same as the chicken down the street at Superior Market’s Deli section haha.

Food is fresh and tasty. Jessica was very helpful in navigating the menu and suggesting some new sauces. Surprised at how nice this location is.
Still wondering why there are no restrooms…

Great service, chicken comes out fresh and piping hot 90% of the time. This is my go to popeyes. One opened up closer to me in HB but I’m willing to drive out to this one for better service/​food. Keep up the great work.

Well perhaps the food is good… But I wouldn’t know, because I sat at the drive thru with no answer for 6 minutes, only for a person to get on the mic and say «1 second please» after I waited another 6 minutes I drove off… Its fried chicken … Not very complicated, will never go by the location again

Was driving by about a month ago and the smell of Popeye’s was in the air. As it teased me, I decided to go in for a spicy dark meat combo. But then the girl was offering a good deal on a 10 piece and I fell for it. Since there aren’t any Popeye’s close to home, it actually worked out. I ate my two pieces and put the rest in a freezer zip lock bag. Now when I crave it, I take a piece out of the freezer and put it in the Nuwave machine for 5 minutes and it’s as good as a fresh piece.
Will be back again when I’m in the area. The restaurant is kept clean and the staff was nice.

I love it when a fast food joint comes through, especially a chain. Food was great, service was good, and not just by fast food standards. Every popeyes I’ve been to has been lame at best but I saw this place tcb

This review is basically for customer service. I went in there tonight and was the second person in the line. I had a simple order of a 4 piece combo. After waiting quite some time and seeing the person that was in front of me get there food and go, and then about three more people who came after me get their food and go I got up to ask if there was something wrong with my order. The cashier at the front check with the back and then told me it would be up soon. I had already been waiting about 15 minutes and figured what’s a minute or two more. Then after that three more people had gotten their orders and left. By this time I was upset told the cashier that it was ridiculous for me to have been waiting 20 minutes and that I just needed to go. I was not rude or mean, just matter-​of-​factual. So he checked again with the cooks about my order and they told him they did not have my order. So they looked around for the ticket and they found it had fallen behind the counter. So they never had been working on it in the first place. Why did they tell me that it was coming right up then? I told the manager who was standing in the cooking area and did not bother to come out to talk to me himself (he was close enough that he can see and hear what I was saying) that he should at least comp me a chicken breast for having to wait so long. The manager just shrugged and didn’t bother say sorry or even comp me anything at all.
Just a side note that the cashier was a very nice kid. It was mainly the manager that I had a problem with. If he sees that there is a problem with the customer he should try everything in his ability to correct it.
And another side note. I emailed their corporate office about this and asked for them to contact me and they still have not. I guess they don’t really care about providing good customer service at the corporate level either.

Yo, if I had to rate Popeyes solely on their Tuesday special I would give it 5 stars. Since this is the only Popeyes nearby, the line gets pretty long.
Pros:
+++ 2 piece leg/​thigh for $ 1.69 on Tuesdays. Like whattttt.
+ Really clean location and I don’t have anything to complain about for service.
Cons:
— After 4 pieces of chicken, you will noticeably start feeling slow. I felt my arteries slowly clog after this meal.
— The other deals they offer arn’t bad, it just doesn’t really warrant me coming out when there’s so many food options out there.
Overall, I think Popeye’s reaches a good medium where it’s juicier than KFC but not as greasy as Church Chicken. I’ve been coming here every Tuesday just because the deal is so good and I’m kind of a fried chicken fanatic.

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER! Inefficient, with staff just standing around! It’s not even busy! They just move so damn slow snd only have orders ready one at a time! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

I would say its good as KFC or better … but at the same time it still gives me the same amount of pain in my stomach. All I can say is… I go here for tuesday for that 1.99 special and almost 60−80% of the time I get a tummy ache and in the end I always think to myself is it worth it? Most of the time … YES BECAUSE I LOVE FRIED CHICKEN.
the only reason I give it a 3 stars is because I always get stomach ache and I wish I knew why I only eat 3 – 4 pieces per sitting. Regardless its pretty good chicken for the price they offer.

LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Popeyes!!! On a day where I feel like participating in utter gluttony, grease and 10,000 calories then Popeyes is the place! Customer service is super nice here and the food is always on point! This is how fried chicken should taste! I always get a family meal to bring home and pig out on. Must have sides are the Mashed Potatoes, Cajun Fries and definitely the biscuits! The only con about this location is if you want to use the restroom (located outside), you have to ask the cashier to get the key and open it for you (they won’t let you have it). This can be a little inconvenient.

I went to the one in Cypress, there’s also a long line for Tuesday special deal, but that’s not the reason I stepped out and headed down to this location. At the other location, it smelled like a raw chicken market or something, I couldn’t bear the smell and dine in.
This place was pretty clean and smelled better, although I didn’t quite feel safe with some folks outside. Line was long, some side items were already sold out at 8:30. I had to wait for 20 minutes or so for a FASTFOOD! But the wait was worth it.
Chicken was served super hot, crispy and juicy. Slightly less saltier than previous location’s. Biscuit was salty outside but at least inside was pretty bland and rich in texture. Mac n cheese was totally overcooked and nasty.
I don’t know the chicken was super fresh and crispy on regular days because they keep frying to fulfill so many orders from the endless line during my visit. I still think P****** chicken is the BEST, but this particular location of Popeye’s will satisfy my fried chicken cravings for now.
