Food is good but can be pricey. Ive been here several times and usually end up getting their chicken bowl, It has rice, cabbage, veggies and chicken with some sauce. I’ve tried their tacos and everything seems to taste like fish(probably because they cook everything in the same griddle). Food is alright but again too pricey for what you are getting.

Really good, fresh food. I recommend the carne asada tacos with grilled veggies on the side. Gets busy at the noon-rush lunch. One of my favorite lunch spots.

A little greasy for what my expectations were but tasty. I’m torn! Again, super duper close to me, so I’ll probably return.

Good seafood and sandwiches. Fresh. Pricey for lunch tho.

The shrimp tacos should probably be renamed to cabbage tacos with a hint of shrimp. So, why am I giving it 3 stars? Well, because the 3 mini shrimps in each taco are delicious. They are battered and deep fried, and are moist, not greasy, and so flavorful. It’s like a super quick party in your mouth. Plus the location is pretty convenient– right off the 55 fwy.

I had the fish and chip … Heavy on the salt. I drank so much water afterward and I still have the tingling sensation on the tip of my tongue. The fish itself was not bad … Right amount if crisp and pretty flaky and a plus that it isn’t dry.

This place can’t even make a decent fish and chips. Way too oily and not too tasty. How can a seafood place mess up fish and chips? Enough said.

Can’t believe I didn’t come here sooner! It’s not the easiest place to get into, but I’m so glad I did. I will definitely be a regular visitor now. The menu is fantastic(if you are a fish lover, of course)! All kinds of fish and great sides. You can get a bowl, a salad, a sandwich, and even fish tacos. I chose tilapia with lemon oregano seasoning, brown rice and vegetables. The veggies were eggplant, zuchini and asparagus — major points for having my favorites. The fish was great as well as the pita bread. See ya next week!

My Taste Bud and I went here for dinner last night! We’ve been obsessed with the Long Beach Fish Grill, but it gets kind of a pain to go during the week and be stuck in rush hour traffic during dinner time. So when my lovely and beautiful sister Laura L. recommended this place, I was stoked that it was closer to us. One thing I love about this place is that they have four different types of seasoning for their grilled fish combos. And I also love that you can pick TWO sides!!! I love sides! I ordered mahi-mahi with Cajun seasoning, rice pilaf and grilled vegetables. They also give you some pita bread which is SO soft! The fish was so tasty! The seasoning wasn’t too spicy, and the rice was cooked perfectly! The veggies are buttery and so good!!! The restaurant was nice and clean and they also have a salsa type bar. We ordered an appetizer with some pita bread, that came with hummus, cucumber dill dip and another one that they actually had run out of for the day, but we doubled on the cucumber dill dip. It was SO good! The pita bread was super soft and good! I don’t know if they make it there, but either way, it’s yummy! I will definitely be back because I am dying to try a lemon oregano seasoned fish!

Just like one of the Unilocalers, I too used to love this place. UNTIL… I saw what one of the cooks did behind the scene. I ordered clam chowder and salmon plate and as I was getting some salsa, I noticed one of the cooks wipe my plates with his dirty apron. It was so dirty from grease that it was near black in color. Avoid this place. Looks and sounds healthy but trust me… they can be deceptive — especially when it comes to this place.

Meeh … not exactly ca fish grill. This place isn’t horrible but it doesn’t have the shazam that ca fish grill has with their garlic butter. I came here with my friend for lunch. I had the special which was a crispy fish bowl. It’s pretty good I have to admit, not sure how healthy it was, but the fish was fried well. And the rice and cabbage was just enough for a lunch. My friend said he prefers ca fish grill, sure it has more choices for sides, but the fish and taste is better at ca fish grill. This place is a chain, read my other malibu fish grill review.

I love this place. They boast a menu with a large selection, fresh ingredients, and awesome sides now including BROWN rice(woowoo for the healthy eaters!) and some of the best pita bread ever. This is one of my go-to places when I want something healthy but subway sounds disgusting, as it usually does. Non-fish loves, don’t despair. They have several more carnivorous options, too! I love their salads(they are HUGE), the mahi mahu fish bowl, the skewers, the grilled zucchini(a great low-cal alternative) and the hummus! Healthy eating comes at a price though – expect to pay $ 10 per entrée after tax.

Yay! Awesome food near work! I came in on my lunch hour and wanted something healthy and filling. I got one of their plates — with mahi mahi, salad, and grilled cucumbers. It was… delicious. There was even fresh pita bread cut into triangles on the side. I got the mahi mahi with the miso sauce on it. It was good, but wasn’t very fish-like, it tasted more like chicken. But it had perfect texture and was very light and really hit the spot. I would definitely be up for trying it again. The salad was ok, lettuce, tomatoes and carrots, with a side of dressing. Nothing spectacular, but again it hit the spot and was nice and healthy. The grilled cucumbers were perfect. Just a bit crisp still, but were nice and hot with a grilled sear on them. The flavor was wonderful. I gotta say the pita triangles were awesome — light and fluffy, flavorful, perfect for sopping up juices. They were a great touch. Overall it was good. nice and light while still being filling. Good portion on the food. It was a bit expensive though, about $ 10 for the plate. Not outrageous or anything, but I wont be able to eat there all the time.

I went here for lunch today. Ok I love taco Tuesdays, but $ 2 for a small fish taco? Well, it’s cheap for what’s on the menu. I ordered a mahi-mahi taco(grilled) and a fried fish taco and 2 sides to complete my meal. The mahi was over seasoned. Lots of seasoned salt, but it left the taste of the fish something left to be desired. The plus is that it came with lots of lettuce and cheese to help balance it out. The fried taco was meaty, stuffed with cabbage and a tangy sauce. Good, but like the mahi taco, smallish. Maybe I was really hungry? I added the salsa. Pretty fresh, but I could make better at my house. And I have. My sides were grilled zucchini and hummus. The zucchini had some weird seasoning. Maybe it was some vinaigrette, but hard to tell. The hummus, I was told, was made fresh daily. But it doesn’t come with pita to dip it with. That’s separate. WTH? Ok the hummus was good. You could tell it was homemade because there were a few lumps in it. Service was pretty good. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Parking sucks at this place because it shares the lot with 3 other office buildings.

Pretty good. Yes similar to CA Fish Grill. The sauce just as good, the rice just as good, the fish done as well. This place does have a few more choices for sides. + for hummus and pita :) I’m not sure about the wait time since I came end of day Friday. I was quite surprised by how early they closed. Prices to quality to portion match. Since I’ve only been here once I can’t say if it’s better or not than CA Fish Grill, and since it’s farther out for me I probably won’t come as much. Though I would recommend it.

A knock off of California Fish Grill. They serve almost the same exact things and the garlic butter white roughy is really delicious here as well. However, the wait can be really long, especially around lunch hours and once they messed up my order. I was pretty mad.

The BAD first because it really made me MAD… the place advertises everywhere in the restaurant the«Taco Tuesday» specials: $ 2 Tacos & $ 2 Beers. It is placed on every table tree in the restaurant. Even the register has a big sign that says«$ 2 Tacos & $ 2 Beers.» Sounds great… right!!! WRONG!!! The small print on a single sign at the register says that the $ 2 Beer is only at there two other locations other than the Santa Ana location. It is was VERYVERYDISAPPOINTING! Our group wanted to come here not only for Tacos… but for the affordable beers. The good… the tacos are excellent and tasty. I ordered the Salmon and Shrimp tacos. I was also told the crispy fish tacos are just as excellent. Also the price was right! But I am torn… four stars for the food and a BIGFATZERO for the mis-presentation of there specials. It was the biggest reason my group went to eat at this restaurant. I want to give the restaurant a single star in the hopes that they will fix it. Hey Malibu Fish Grill-Santa Ana… FIXIT… then I will update the star rating!

Good fast food style restaurant with a variety of seafood items. They have a taco Tuesday where tacos are 2 bucks and beers are 2 bucks. I tried the mahi mahi, steak and chicken taco. They were all pretty good. The mahi mahi taco had some seasoning on it which was okay. They did put a lot of cheese on their tacos. I want to come back and try their fish n chips or one of the wraps.

For a fast food style joint, this place rocks. I was starving today on the way to the hospital to see my grandpa and since I didn’t know the area too well I didn’t know where to go. As I swung off the freeway I noticed this place so just stopped in not knowing what to expect. They have fish platters, wraps, tacos, salads etc. I got a cup of clam chowder which wasn’t hot enough in temperature but otherwise very palatable. I got one crispy fish taco which was pretty good. My only complain with the taco was that it was one piece of fish and not a few chunks of nuggets which made it really hard to eat especially when the fish was hot as hell so naturally I burned myself. Very busy at lunch time but service was rather fast for the amount of traffic they had in there.

Their slogan is «Fresh Fish Daily!» and that’s exactly what they provide. It’s quick and healthy, with many soup and salad options as well as great fish burritos(my favorite! but they call them wraps), tacos, and skewers. It’s relatively inexpensive for the great quality and variety of seafood you can’t get too many other places at the price, but you can easily spend 10 – 12 bucks there for lunch if you want to get fancy. They also have fish ala carte but the wraps or plates seem to get me every time. Chicken, shrimp, zucchini, crab, etc are available for those who want a great healthy fresh mexican meal but not a real fish person. Highly recommend for lunch but not bad for dinner either. They have another location that I haven’t tried yet but I suspect it’s equally good. Menu available online. Only thing, they seem to offer some good coupons in the mail but I’ve yet to get my hands on any. Maybe I don’t live close enough
