This bar was great and the service was phenomenal, especially COREY who took care of EVERY single one of our needs. Corey went above and beyond to make sure the needs of my friends and I were met over and over again. I mean, there’s regular old service and then there is the impeccable service that Corey delivered on. Everything was very prompt and he hustled. Best service ever.

This is the first place I can remember not leaving a tip. Perhaps it has happened before but very unlikely as I normally tip 20%-25%. Food decent service absolutely awful. After sitting down it was about 15 minutes to take my simple drink order, when I tried to get the attention of my server he walked past me TWICE with me trying to get his attention without getting me a menu(perhaps I should yell?) and then didn’t get my order correctly. Want to top it off? I got a $ 17 salad with a plastic fork while I saw another person eating with a real fork. I mean I know airport food is overpriced but if you’re out of real forks at least apologize that you have to give me what you have. I had a solid bill because my flight was delayed so it was about $ 60 which would have been $ 12-$ 15 depending on if they were okay to me but they really didn’t meet any level of service. I will probably feel bad later not leaving a tip because it’s not how I operate their service was bad enough to really annoy me.

I visited here while waiting for my flight to Nashville. I only had 45 minutes before my flight so I got my meal to go. It was a surprisingly large portion. I at half for lunch and the other half for dinner. I would recommend this spot for anyone wanting good gourmet sandwiches.

Wish I’d have sat at the bar. The bar staff seemed to be on their game. The 10 folks working the tables seemed like they were in a zombie state. I waited 10 min for a menu. Another 10 for an order. What ended up as being plenty of time turned out to be a gulp and a swill. Mushroom bisque was good. Wine selection not too shabby.

I saw them treat customers with rudeness and attitude. Paige was the worst. People had to ask for service. I had to ask twice. Then it still took lengthy periods of time to provide service items. Paige only helped the pretty people.

Went with my family to have some food and a drink before our flight home. Stood at the hostess station at the entrance and and after a few minutes the hostess looked at us as if she was annoyed and«I don’t have anything!». We asked her is she knew when they would have a table available. This seemed to annoy her more and she just replied with«no, no I don’t !». I was really looking forward to visiting the Ducks Breakaway Bar, and I understand it was busy, but a hostess shouldn’t be act that way when someone is simply asking to be seated.

I arrived to the airport early, so I can relax and grab some lunch. I walked around the airport, and no restaurants seemed to grab my attention, so I just stopped by the Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar and Grill to eat and relax. Food: I ordered the steak and cheese flatbread. It was a pretty good pizza, but of course, it was pretty expensive airport food and I didn’t feel like the portion size was large enough. Side Notes Ambiance: There’s a decent amount of seating with TVs showing sports. Service: The service was ok. I asked the waitress for a food recommendation, but she stated she hadn’t tried some of the stuff on the menu. Overall: It’s an ok place to stop by and relax, but I’m not sure if I would revisit.

Service may not be the best. I got here early at the airport so I decided I should grab a bite before my flight. I didn’t want fast food so I kept walking down the terminal and came across this place. I walked in here and the waitress was polite and seated me in a fast pace. However, I waited 15 minutes just to wait for a waiter to come by to take my order… They were chatting and didn’t want to help customers yet. I got my order: two eggs anyway and it was ok. The scrambled eggs were not the scrambled eggs I have usually. Their breakfast menu ends at 10:30AM. ***

Got seated right away but it took them 15 minutes before they even acknowledged me and that’s bec I made eye contact with one of the servers so she finally came up to me. Got my water and ordered the mushroom bisque soup and the Quinoa butter lettuce wrap with chicken. I got the soup for free bec«they forgot about me» that’s what the server said. Ok thanks. The soup was okay. Nothing special but it was the right temperature. I got my quinoa butter lettuce wraps and I got these ball of mush. Literally!!! It was quite disgusting. The server asked me if thy were okay. I said no. She asked why, I said it was a ball of mush with no flavor. She said that’s the quinoa. I said no I’ve cook quinoa and if it’s cooked right, it’s not mushy. She offered to get me something else. I opted for the turkey burger instead which tasted like burnt grill and as chewy as a rubber. It was supposed to have a mango salsa but I see only one small cube of mango. I don’t know what happened to the rest. On the bright side– my fries were okay?! I mean I’ve had one bad food after another so I’m not sure if the fries were actually good. Maybe at this point I’m starving to death that the fries became good all of a sudden?! I would’ve had a better meal had I gone to Ruby’s. FML!!!

Decent place to pass the time waiting for your flight. Enjoyed the options of food and happy it wasn’t smokey bar type. Lots of tvs to watch the games and value was typical California airport. Thankful for their wine selection. Would definitely be ok to hang here waiting for another flight.

This place is a bit odd, even for airport food. On a recent trip, a coworker and I stopped in while waiting for our flight home. We were drawn in by the nice seating area and interesting-sounding menu. When we asked to sit by the window, we received an annoyed look and were begrudgingly taken to a table overlooking the runway. Several others were sitting in that area and there were plenty of open tables, so I’m not sure why it was such a bother. The hostesses felt unwelcoming. I ordered quinoa lettuce cups and my coworker ordered the kale ceasar salad. My lettuce cups were okay — but the ingredients in the quinoa mixture were an odd combination. The Caesar salad came with ‘crostini’ which was actually toast with cheese on it. Our waitress was nice but the service was slow. By the time we wanted to leave, we hadn’t seen our waitress in 20 minutes. I had to get up and go find her to get our check so we could make our flight. Next time I’m at SNA, I’ll be eating elsewhere — plenty of other good options.

I had some time to kill before my flight and was hungry for real food and a drink, so I stopped by the Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar and Grill. The restaurant was packed, but I was able to get a table. Service was very quick. I ordered a Gin based drink and a California Cobb Salad. The drink was good, and though the menu says that it was crafted, it wasn’t special, nor was it generously poured. The salad, however, was generously proportioned and full of tasty and fresh ingredients like chicken, egg, bacon, and avocado. There are prices for food on the menu, so I knew that my salad would be $ 14. I was shocked when I received the bill and found out that my drink was $ 16. I have purchased artisan made gin beverages with house made syrups and fresh vegetables or fruits. Up until the day I visited the Anaheim Ducks Breakaway Bar and Grill, I never ever paid more than $ 12 for a drink. I was very shocked. Caveat emptor!

Stopped here since our gate was right next to to it and we had arrived early to the airport. Good place to kill some time and grab a quick drink. What we ordered: — Sriracha Wings — Glass of Conundrum White — Glass of Golden Road Hefeweizen The bar has a bunch of outlets available if you want to charge your phone, which is a nice plus.

I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. 1) there was no cheesesteak on the menu but, authentic Philly cheesesteaks are made with Whiz. 2) they must have listened about portion sizes because my Cobb salad was HUGE, and I am stuffed 3) ok I also got the mushroom bisque which is to die for. Bested only by my aunt who made this every Christmas Eve and no other time. Since she has passed, this is the closest I’ve had to her version 4) the Offseason. Damn. I have a new favorite drink. 5) service was quick and friendly! 6) ITS A HOCKEYTHEMEDBAR! Hockey was on TV. Canadian juniors. It doesn’t get any better than that! 7) sure it’s pricey but it’s airport food. It’s better than the other crap I saw! So there; Unilocal foodie food snobs that expect Chef Ramsey lamb chops served with peach remoulade and diamonds everywhere you eat. You won’t get that served up on a stick and puck.

My husband and I were hungry and needing yummy food before our flight back to Texas. We decided on trying this place out after looking at their breakfast menu. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. If you are a foodie, try the Quinoa White Omelet. I ate every morsel on my plate, it was so delicious. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Who knew that quinoa would be good in an omelet? The Bloody Mary and Mimosas are pretty delicious too. The extra garnishments in the drinks are a nice touch. Very pleasantly surprised for a restaurant airport. I will definitely visit again the next time we’re in Orange County.

My boyfriend and I shared the the quesadilla and the Portobello burger. The quesadilla was good(3⁄5), but the portion seemed a little lacking. Like maybe it needed a side with it. The portobello was«meh», mediocre(2⁄5). It just seemed it was missing something –seasoning perhaps or something to give it more sophistication. It had what looked like an egg or foamy white stuff on top that ended up being a cheese. Even though the menu said«portobello stuffed with quinoa», it was just a scoop of quinoa on top of the mushroom. The bread wasn’t toasted so it was super soft and the whole thing was a bit mushy and messy. It also took forever to get our check.

Welcome to John Wayne Airport… Clean, classy, fast security lines, valet parking, quick luggage delivery, nothing but good restaurants… Wait! Scratch that last one. Ducks falls way below JWA standards when it comes to food. The cheesesteak sandwich was downright awful. It comes with cheese whiz, which I figured must be pretty bad because the bartender immediately suggested that I go with mozzarella instead. I took her up on that… which I deeply regretted when the sandwich came out. Rather than the shredded and melted mozzarella that I expected, It was two thick pads of fresh mozzarella. Sure, this would be great with some tomatoes, basil, and balsamic… but on a bed of beef it simply did not work. The only saving grace for this ‘wich could have been the grilled onions… But they were forgotten. This wasn’t the first time I had eaten at Ducks, but I am 83% sure it was the last. If you’re here to booze it up before a flight then by all means get after it. If it’s food you’re after, I suggest you Breakaway outta there and find some better grub.

What’s with all the bad reviews? I really liked this place. The food was good and the server was great. Whenever you have kids a and you can sit and watch the planes come and go is a plus. Decent sized restaurant with flat screen TVs to watch all kinds of games. They were very quick to seat us and take our order. I only wish that we had more time to try more dishes but we had to get on our plane. GODUCKSGODUCKS!!!

Decent sized restaurant and bar with ample flat screen TVs throughout to watch the games. My boyfriend and I came when the NBA playoffs and Ducks games were on at the same time and it was pretty packed. The entire restaurant is seat yourself, not too bad as people are always going in and out to catch their flights. Breakaway offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options and prices aren’t too bad for the airport! The restaurant décor is dedicated to the Anaheim Ducks which includes memorabilia, giant hockey sticks, pucks and goalie masks framing the restaurant and hardcore sports fans. Breakaway is a great place to kill time in the airport and enjoy some drinks with food. The service was quick and the food wasn’t too bad. We ordered the shrimp flatbread, butter lettuce quinoa wrap and some beers to wash the food down. I thought the quinoa wrap was SOGOOOD! Came with garbanzo beans, grapes, sunflower seeds, and edamame. I was quite surprised by the dishes for airport food!

They were very quick to seat us and take our order but you would think any food place in an Airport would have quick service. We probably sat down with 40 minutes before boarding but by the time we got our food we only had 10 minutes left! We had to eat our food quickly and pay but thankfully they were quick to charge our cards and get us out of there. $ 14.99 for a personal-sized flat bread, it was tasty though but not warm. $ 7.99 for a non-alcoholic drink with ginger ale, mint, and lime. $ 5.99 for a basic green salad with champagne vinaigrette. I consider this to be pricey for taking so long to get the food to us.
