I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place after looking at previous reviews. It’s typical bar food but the burger I ordered was delicious and the service was good. I would not hesitate to come here again if I am ever in the area.

This Sports Bar sucks. If you would have asked me in 2005 if Corner Office would still be in in business today I would have laughed and walked away from you. Somehow, someway… Corner Office still provides terrible service, atrocious food and a lousy drinking experience like every single day. They do have a wealth of flat screen televisions throughout the bar and a decent beer list but you will die of thirst before you get your second beer. Even if you assert yourself the waitstaff and management will look at you as if you are the problem. Corner Office is the ISIS of the hospitality industry. Oh, don’t even entertain the thought of ordering food at Corner Office. In fact, if you order a dish in your dreams you should wake up feeling humiliated, dirty and then take a scalding hot shower. I took a bite of one of their offerings that I won’t bother identifying and immediately wished I ate a .44 caliber bullet instead. Corner Office, get the hell out of Orange County. And Los Angeles County. And California. And Earth.

The food here is terrible, but what is worse is the service. The bartenders here are more concerned with talking to their friends than doing their job. Sad part is, I live 2 blocks away and have tried this place several times with the same results. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that cares about their customers.

Never coming back here again, service sucks, food sucks and the employees are rude! They should just sell this place, i mean what kind of name is, «Corner Office»? I came here to watch a game and enjoy some appetizers and drinks. It took the waiter to come take our order about 15 minutes and they got the order wrong. The place looks like shit and the bartenders look like they smoke crack and are cocky. Why would you be proud to work there anyway? … Anyway, don’t come here, don’t waste your time, bunch of freakin’ salty Laker fans who think they are cool drinking beer, playing pool and hitting on girls, which is kind of childish because they are there with their significant other.

Wow… Now I get why this place is rated so low … customer service! We sat ourselves right in front of the big screens… cool. Finally got a server and ordered beers, wings and spinach dip. She didn’t smile once and forgot the dip. She closed out our tab during the game. We gave her money for the tab while watching the game and we decided we’d tip after the game because we were debating more beer lol. She brings back our change and said here is your change I’m sure you guys need it more than me! WTF! Rude rude rude! Never going back.

Was looking for another bar in the OC and my coworkers found this spot and decided to try it out and boy I’m glad that I did. The ambiance is amazing at this place. They have an open bar and great beer selection. The bartender is very friendly and helpful. Small beers are 8.50 big ones Are 10(That’s for IPA at least). The location has a lot of TVs and also a great patio are with a nice view.

The two stars are mainly pity for the lone server in the entire establishment. At least 60 – 70 people for the bar area and restaurant and she was handling it all. So, it was impossible, as hard as she could work, for the service to be anything other than glacial. On top of that my friend could not finish his philly cheese sandwich it was so bad. Luckily he ordered a salad too. The place is very loud with many tvs as you would expect from a sports bar and seems to cater to the pitcher of beer ordering crowd. So to sum up. Bad food. One server =Slow service. Loud. Lots of tvs and pitchers of beer. If that is your scene then this is you place!

The corner office is definitely my go to spot for games and drinks with the guys. You don’t come here for the service which has been made obvious by the myriad of other complaints on here. I find the service to be perfect in the sense that they make sure our drinks are full and leave us alone otherwise. The outside patio is beautiful and nice to sit down out away from the noise and chaos of the game. They have plenty of tvs in the place so you’re sure to be able to get your particular game on. The place is pretty quiet except for the major sporting events. It’s also pretty nice to just come in and have a drink or two and unwind after a long day at the office. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop in for a beer :)

when i saw this place scoring review after review with 2 star rating, and every one I seem to know have something to say about their customer service or the lack of one, I really wanted to check it out myself. I thought may be people are being so judgemental. I am the kind of person who believes in any body is nice, if you pretend and believe them to be one, so I thought its going to be a cakewalk to go in and walk out with a 5 star experience. Oh well, that was a good thought. the place itself is next to marriot, with the amazing views of a fake lake and seggerstorm performance art center. Parking is what it is. its a strip mall, so if you find parking park or just keep moving. I don’t think that is a bad thing. the location is next to TGIFridays and Pizzeria Ortica and silver trumpet. so I know for sure they are not competing for these clienteles, and go for more commoner sports bar theme, and a dive bar feel. Nothing wrong with that either. God knows we need a good dive bar every now and again. too much clean sophisticated places definitely do get boring sometimes. The place is right next to the 24 hour fitness, so right after a workout on friday three of us decided to go for a happy hour drink. there is something to be said about proximity in picking this place. same reason why lot of us often end up staying with a bad boy friend or girl friend. the evening started just fine, as we walking in to the place, to a bad smell of fajitas some couple ordered at the bar, and if that is any indicator of what their food is like, I will stick to something they don’t make in the house like bottled wine and alcohol. we found a table right next to this giant glass wall over looking the aforementioned fake lake which is beautiful I must add. the Waitress girl was pretty prompt coming to take our drink orders, and to bring our 3 glasses of wine. the waitress came up one mor time to check on us to see if wanted drinks and as we wanted to take 2 mins to decide on the next drink, we asked her if she can come back in 5 mins… It was perfect up until this point, and I was like what a crazy bunch of idiots to write a 2 star review for a reasonable place like this… she came back after a bit, and we placed another 3 glasses of wine, and then that was the last of her sight next to her table. we never saw her ever again like the philae lander that got on the other side of the rosetta comment, and still hasn’t been found. as time went by minute after minute, what felt like a really long time, i saw the bar tender poured our drinks and kept by the bar, and i was hoping our waitress would probably bring it to our table, but she kept walking back and forth not particularly carrying anything and making small chats which is fine, but our wine was getting warmer. anyways at this point i decided walk up to the bar to fetch our own drinks, and all of sudden she remembered us so offered to bring it our table. I was like ok what ever. so we got our next round of drinks after all that time. one more time we had to ask the sweetest waitress to our next table to find our waitress so we can ask for the check so finally she brought that too. I was like oh i see why people write 2 star review for this place. anyways as if all this ordeal isn’t enough, as I check the bill, i noticed she charged me 16 $s for 2 glasses of wine, when I ordered the C K Mondavi Cab that was 6 $ a glass. So being the good hearted person that believes anything can be talked through to get things right, i take the check, and find her and ask her about the price difference, and she goes well, we ran out of that wine. i was like oh i didn’t know that, you didn’t mention and she looked at me like ‘your point is?’ anyways. i wish she told me ahead of time, i am drinking an 8 $ wine, it would have tasted different. you know how those wine studies people feel the taste is better when its expensive. anyways. it doesn’t seem like she hardly could care for anything that goes at that place. may be she is overworked, may be she has problem at house, or may be just may be she doesn’t get paid enough… anyways I hope things turn around for her so she could be nice to people! as far as would i come back to this place, probably, but i will sit some other table, not in her section. that is like the longest review I had written in a while but that is what you get for having no life on a saturday afternoon! PS. if you are looking for 8 $ price range goto pizzeria optic after 8pm everyday happy hour at bar, the wine is about 8 $s and pizza is about 6 or 7 $s. amazing. also charlie palmer has happy hour 4 to 7pm everyday 8 $ cocktail/wine etc. if you want to watch sports, goto yard house at triangle square. happy hour 3 to 6 monday through friday.

Went here for lunch during a conference held at the Marriott next door. Ordered the Reuben sandwich. It reminded me of the«Where’s the Beef?» ad. There was a few slab of meat folded up and it was on less than half of the sandwich. Nothing special about the sandwich. The onion rings were good… not to oily. Staff was accommodating for our big group and split the check for everyone.

Very cool place. Great and friendly service. Good food the only problem was it was pretty dirty. Bathrooms were awful and there were bar flys everywhere. My first drink even had one in it. All that aside it was a cool place.

I came to the Corner Office on my lunch break with some co workers. I didn’t have high expectations because I knew it was a Sports Bar. I ordered the Blue Cheese burger with a side of fries. I was fairly surprised at how delicious it was. The patty was cooked to perfection and the blue cheese gave the burger such a great flavor. I’m giving this place four stars because of the service. The bartenders don’t look very happy to be there and no one came to check on our group to see if we needed anything. I will definitely be back to try their personal pizza.

If you watched How I Met Your Mother and wanted to find a bar like that but in Costa Mesa then you found one! I went to the Corner Office every week in college and I loved it. I have so many amazing memories there. I have celebrated many monotonous life moments there too. It’s a neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name… really! I love the bartenders and the people that go there. As far as food goes it’s better than most bars but really you don’t go to a bar for food. You go to a bar for people. You can go to a nice restaurant for awesome food. With that said the food is better than you think. It’s really good. I cannot rave about his place enough. It’s home. It’s part of my memories.

This is one of those convenient places that you go to because you live or work nearby and need to kick back and relax and be left alone for a while. This is a place where the locals are treated a little better than the visiting crowd because it’s a classic neighborhood sports bar. This is not a place that you go to for a fun girls or guys night out where the wait staff is tending to your every need, you’re the most important person there, and the drinks cost half of your soul. That being said… If you live or work nearby and you want a few evening drinks, or to watch the game, and you’re ok with flagging down a bartender once in a while, this is the place for you! I live at the apartments nearby and am here at least once a week. I’ll agree with the reviews and say that there are a few servers that need a serious wake up call because they are extremely apathetic about their jobs. And there is this one female waitress(at least I only know of one) who is far more committed to flirting with the single guys than waiting tables. That’s why I only go to the bar when I’m here. The bartenders are great, even though they are understaffed most days. They’re also very helpful with your last minute decisions on fantasy football lineups(thanks Adam!) Good happy hour prices. Food is ok(classic bar food) The place is PACKED on Sundays. There are some pool tables, lots of space, decent sized patio overlooking the lakes in the back, good bar vibe.

Watching football and had the most crummy customer service EVER! Make sure to avoid the female bartender, as she has a problem bringing napkins, refilling your water and being polite. And this is in addition to never taking our breakfast order, making us wait 20 min to take our lunch order. It’s really sad because I saw NO reason for her to act like that. Definitely I will think twice before I sit in her section again~ if I decide to even go back! Even after the polite letter I wrote explaining why no tip, she doesn’t come to apologize, instead she shows the note to all her co– workers! Yes crappy customer service.

This place blows service-wise. Not once but TWICE our server forgot to put in our table’s simple happy-hour order. Two hours later … #nevercomingback Oh, and they don’t validate parking. And our bill had mystery drinks added to it.

Sooo… this is place is not for newly 21 year olds or cool 20 year olds. hahah Coming here on a Saturday night around almost 10 and this place was not poppin. Very loungy and spacey area, with 2 pool tables in the back, but the crowd seemed like a much older crowd probably 40s-50s and the place is only good for drinkin. Their happy hour is pretty legit with well-drinks around 4.25 and they have a 22 oz beer option for $ 7 which isn’t too shabby. One of the bartenders was also pretty rude, seemed like he didn’t wanna be there(but I dont blame him either) Good place to meet up quickly with friends, but other than that I can’t really recommend this place for anything else.

This is conveniently located next to the Marriott. The drinks are ok, and prices are not bad. The problem is with the service. There is a large rectangular bar. When we were in there about twenty or more people were scattered around it. There appeared to be only one person working so that one person was not very attentive. It took far too long to get drinks and our tab. There is a decent number of televisions to catch games on. There are also billiard tables. The place is large and with its location has some potential. To be successful they are going to need to figure out the staffing.

This Corner Office bar is not as cool as it could or should be, but then I guess most Corner Offices at work aren’t either. In a word, it is «unspectacular» … kind of like Al Gore as a dancer or George W. Bush as a leader. I was staying nearby(like next door) and stopped in the Corner Office for a quick beer and to catch some sports on the tube. The big bar in the middle was the hub with small pockets of people and a few others at some tables by the pool tables. It was notably quiet for a sports bar, but especially for one this large. There were major sections just empty, dark, with the TVs turned off. The bartender was sweet and friendly. She convinced me to get a 22 oz(large) Newcastle and the Irish Nachos appetizer. The beer was cold and refreshing. Perfect after a day at work(even if it wasn’t in a Corner Office). The Irish Nachos are basically Cheese Waffle Fries with Sour Cream and a Meat(kind of a mystery which one). I added some Jalapenos for some heat. Like the bar, the Irish Nachos weren’t spectacular. Happy Hour is 5 – 7 on weekdays. Parking is free. If you work nearby or are staying at the Costa Mesa Marriott, then this might be a decent option after work. It’s totally not a dive, but it isn’t a destination bar, either. Corner Office is something you aspire to at work, but not as a sports bar unless you’re looking for something pretty unspectacular.
