Macy’s

Waited in line behind 3 people to buy a pair of shoes. 35 minutes later we left. Horrible service

I bought plates here. White plates. White plates to use for Thanksgiving specifically. I’m a man. So I didn’t receive a ton of excitement over the white plates. I’m fine with white paper plates for the rest of my life. But my wife was excited… and I guess that’s really all that matters. Now she has her white plates. The money has been spent, checkout is always miserable at Macy’s, It’s almost as if the employees have no desire to ever leave the store. I imagine when all the lights go out, all the Macy’s employees are still meandering slowly around the floors, folding one shirt every 27 minutes. But all the items are of a good quality and prices are about what you would expect for the quality. Now their parades… that’s another story.

Quality clothing. Lot’s of great sales, discounts, and coupons. Antonia in the woman’s department was super helpful and complimentary. I wanted Jeggings and she showed me about 8 different styles in the woman and junior’s departments so that I wouldn’t miss an option. She even checked on me while changing and grabbed me another pair/​size. She was super kind and accommodating. I’ve always had a good experience here and at other Macy’s. Their clothes last a long time and generally hold up well. I’m very excited about my purchases. I saved almost $ 600 today while only spending $ 160. Yay!

Since I have Macy’s card, I always get extra saving from it.
This Macy’s got almost everything from Home to appeals but only thing is missing is Shiseido cosmetic. According to the store employee, Macy’s in SLC do not have Shiseido.
Employees here are great. They will always have the patient to help you.

This is a nice Macy’s store with lots to browse from clothing, household and kitchen goods, a really nice furniture section and pretty much everything else you imagine you should find in a large department store chain. It’s a nice compliment to the other stores that are the cornerstones of the South Towne Center.
What’s particularly great about Macy’s is not only do they have a good selection of goods, it’s generally of high quality. Of course with that you get the equivalent price tag, but it is possible to find some really good deals here too if you take the time, and there’s usually some sort of sale going on.
They also seem to always have a friendly, helpful and professional staff here which is exactly what I expect at a higher end department store. It’s always nice to have that to escape to when you’re in the mall at busy times — I admit «busy» is relative when it comes to South Towne outside the holiday period!
Keep it up Macy’s. You’re a great institution we need to stay around and we’re glad to have you here in the South end of the valley!

I was in the Salt Lake City area last week and ran into Macy’s at South Towne Center to kill some time. While I was walking around I was approached by Melanie Larsen who is the personal shopper for the store. She introduced herself and quickly helped me find some amazing ties.
When I mentioned that I didn’t realize Macy’s had personal shoppers, Melanie told me that she was brand new, and that this was the first time Macy’s had a personal shopper in Utah.
Melanie was absolutely TERRIFIC! She has an incredible sense of style and a very kind and easy going demeanor. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting the store and asking for Melanie… Best of all… THE SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! I wish I lived in Salt Lake City, because if I did, Melanie would be the first one I turned to for all my shopping need.

I’ve been waiting so long for someone to come help me. Still waiting. The man who is not allowed to leave the fancy watch counter to help a customer (I want to look at a ring at the next counter) has paged someone three times. Still waiting. 15 – 20 minutes. Anyone? Anyone?

So we are latinos in my familia.
My mom came to my sis’ wedding straight from the south america territory, and was looking for a nice dress for the celebrations, and we could not find anything anywhere. I was quite frustrated because I hate going shopping with my mom, cauz not only she can never decide but also she is always in need of other things. She speaks some spanish, yet she’s not super proficient in it, so I had to do a lot of the translation in the shopping experiences.
So although there was this white chick that sucked balls at helping us in the formal dress part, there was this other lady that was working in the Polo side of the women’s department, and heard us and our frustration and came to help my mom, not only to talk, but to go with her and find stuff for her attire, this lady was Mexican.
My mom left with a beautiful red Calvin Klein dress and a little jacket that made her look hot, and the Mexican lady was LEGIT. She was helpful all the way, and made us have a great experience. If it hadnt been for her, I would have rated this place with 1 or 2 stars, bc everyone else was pretty much talking and killing time, and not helping like this lady.

Macy’s is a nice department store with clothing for men, women and children as well as home goods like pots and pans and furniture. As a department store Macy’s is one of the best with quality products, good sales, and professional and help staff. Sometimes their prices can be a little expensive but with frequent sales and coupons you can usually get some bargains if you shop at opportune times.
