I’m a huge fan of Costa visa, but this location is terrible. Their service is slow because it’s understaffed. They got my order wrong and then acted put-out when I asked what I paid for. They are also super stingy with meat, rice, beans, and even lettuce! We had to move tables twice because the tables were so wobbly that our food was sliding around. To top everything off I found a hair in my food. Not a great experience.

I ordered a salad and was told that only one dressing is available because«nothing has been prepped and we are out of a lot.» Very unprofessional. Please in the future maybe strain the black beans as I don’t enjoy black bean soup in my salad. The restaurant seemed very lacking in leadership. Employees walking around with headsets on, they seemed more focused on socializing than helping customers.

I love costa vida! So much better than café Rio. Portions are a great size, and I love the student specials. Great place to grab a quick lunch. The horchata is great! Super fast and clean service. Great food. Especially the salads.

Can Costa Vida at all locations please stop serving iced tea? I hate paying for it and having the black tea come out like dirty water and the green tea come out like sugar syrup every single time. I hate sugar soda and prefer not to be a diabetic so I would be great if they could figure out how to make iced tea. Thank you.

Great place for quick serve Mexican, very similar to Café Rio with out the wait. I often get the chille verde nachos, which is unique. Every thing I have had is pretty good and I would recommond it if you have tried Café Rio try this place too

I tried Costa Vida for the first time a few weeks ago and I’m hooked. I’ve been eating Café Rio religiously for years and thought there was nothing that could top it; then I tried Costa Vida. Menu-wise, it’s VERY similar to Café Rio and price-wise it’s similar as well, but taste-wise, cleanliness-wise, and portion-wise it has Café Rio beat. The chicken at Costa Vida, which is what I almost always get, is actually grilled chicken and it’s delicious. Café Rio has shredded chicken sitting in a lot of «liquid»; to get grilled chicken at Café Rio it costs $ 1.50 more. They also have a Chili Verde burrito, which Café Rio doesn’t have, and it’s one of my favorite things on the menu. It’s also the special on Fridays, so it costs around $ 7.50 and it comes with a drink. Okay, I’m done with the Café Rio comparisons now! The food is delicious, the service is really good, the place is always clean, and it’s hardly ever busy. I go here for my lunch break at work frequently, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. This place is amazing.

Mexican food that charges for salsa?!? Wow, I was floored. So floored, in fact, that I wrote an email to their corporate headquarters. They never responded. Between these two acts they’ve earned a rare 1 star review from me.

Service was fast and friendly. The food was hot tasted won’t look well. Evenly priced. I just like going to this place, very nice dimly lit.

VERY slow service. They never have enough staff to keep the line flowing(like their competition does consistently). But when you do finally get served they rush you down the line so fast and don’t listen to what you want so you have no idea what you end up with. My kids tried to order and the solo burrito maker didn’t listen to them. They must have said«no rice» 10 times and he kept putting on rice. The food might taste ok, but the speed and bad service is keeping me away for good. There are way too many other option to have to go through that again.

Sweet deal, especially the specials. You can get any of the specials if you are a student. I had the beef burrito smoothered. Was super filling and came with a drink. Sweet meal and casual atmosphere.

Quick service and very clean and fresh. The daily deals make it a great value and open on Sunday The chicken tacos always hits the spot. Get the re fried beans for your bean choic.

Great chile verde burrito. The three star rating is based on them giving so little pico with the burrito. And if you ask for a little more they want to charge for it. A tablespoon of pico isn’t enough for one of their burritos.

Best Mexican food I ever had. Way better than that Café Rio crap. I recommend the Steak Burrito with Black beans and Medium Sauce. Muy Delicioso. Never a line, and always quick to get my food.

Just a quick question… Why is your Sandy store charging people more than the prices on the menu? When asked, the cashier said: «please call corporate… we haven’t changed the menu prices.» The«manager» wouldn’t even talk to me and wouldn’t refund the difference between what was on the menu and what was rung up. FAIRWARNING: If you go to the Sandy, UT Costa Vida, check what is being rung up against the prices on the menu!

It’s a quick serve place so here’s a quick review. Good Mexican style food, I recommended the chicken tacos that are the lunch special(Monday or Tuesday), they’re very tasty! I think they’re a split off from the same people who came up with Café Rio so if you’ve been there you know exactly what to expect. Excellent choice for lunch when you want more than fast food but no time for a dining experience.

I think I just found my favorite quesadilla. I mean THEBESTQUESADILLA I EVERHAD! I had a sweet pork quesadilla with rice and black beans on the side. I am a small Asian but I can fit a lot of food down to my stomach. Most Mexican food restaurants like to over stuff you. The portion was just right. Just enough for your stomach and you can actually get up and walk. It is kind greasy but I am not too picky. Nothing beats some cheap greasy awesome food orgasm, right?
