Canterbury Cuisine

We love it here. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is awesome. We have been here many times and every item we have ordered is delish. Food is made from scratch. All the seafood items are fresh and well prepared. The crab cakes are fantastic.
I highly recommend the Tiramisu dessert.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to try, we saw this place and stopped. First, we were the youngest people there and I felt out of place there. Second, the place was so dark, I couldn’t read the menu, I had to have my daughter read the menu to me. I told the waitress I had eye problems and couldn’t see the menu and she did and said nothing. The food was nothing special, but again it was so dark, I couldn’t even see the food to eat it. I just stabbed around the table with a fork until I hit something soft. Really bad experience, won’t ever go there again because of that.

Love, great atmosphere!!! Dinner is amazing as well as breakfast and lunch. Very consistent. Which is harder to find these days. The owners and staff are great. I could easily eat there e everyday!

So I received a gift card to Canterbury Cuisine. I had never heard of this place before but I have to tell you the food was excellent and the wait staff knowledgeable and friendly. Make sure you ask for Kerry if she is available.
We found the restaurant to be a little dark and the décor and music playing in the background to be a little outdated, but the service and meal made up for it.
We started out with drinks, we both got the watermelon mojito. My wife thought it was too sweet and could have been muddled a little more to bring out the mint flavor a bit more. I thought it was just ok but worth the money because there was enough alcohol you could taste it.
Kerry brought us bread and butter next. There was two kinds of bread, one I believe a focaccia bread and the other had cranberries in it. The butter unexpectedly sweetened, but I’m not complaining. It was delicious.
The appetizers came next. My wife had the Caesar salad. The croutons were not too big and just the right amount of dressing. We shared the mussels simmered in roasted garlic, tarragon, white wine butter sauce with garlic toast. The mussels were cooked just right. You have to dip the garlic bread in the sauce. It was to die for.
For the main dish my wife had the Filet Mignon with cassis glazed shallots and gorgonzola-​butter mashed potato and sautéed asparagus. The meat was cooked a perfect medium rare and she got the potato without the gorgonzola as she does not care for it.
They happened to mess up my dish and brought me a Filet as well, but quickly rectified as I had ordered the prime rib. The prime rib from the outside looked like it was going to be overdone, but not the case. When I made the first cut it was a perfect medium rare.
We will definitely be trying this place again

Love this place. Always consistent. The woman who owns it could smile a little more and not make you feel like you are troubling her — but other than that can not go wrong here. Creative specials, good drinks, low key atmosphere. Recommendation — try the chicken Madera or any of the scallop specials. Their salads are always good and fresh too! Oh! One last thing– the old people music they play will KILL you, but let your conversation flow and you will stop noticing it.

Above average. Homemade hash. One quibble, which is true of many places, the Texas French toast… I don’t consider a standard piece of bread with powder cinnamon or powder sugar as «Texas»… I expect Large & Thick slices!

Just wanted to check in and reaffirm my love for Canterbury! This place is great… awesome food, great staff, reasonable prices… couldn’t ask for anything more!

A nice, clean and friendly place. Canterbury Cuisine is a great hidden jewel in Sandwich.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, this place has it all including a neat little fully stocked bar.
I can only speak to how fantastic breakfast was but given how good it was we will be trying this place for dinner soon!

Every meal is delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I’ve been here several times and have not been disappointed once.
I’d go for lobster stuff ravioli or any of the delicious paninis.
Overall a great place to grab a drink and get some good quality food.

I just had a great dinner! The food was absolutely amazing!!! Ahi Tuna was so good I wanted to lick my plate. The bartend Michelle was fabulous! Ty while staff very pleasant and friendly, Best martini I’ve ever had! It’s a very beautiful restaurant and bar in Sandwich!!!

This place is by far the best restraunt on the cape. Whether your going for breakfast lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere and Darin and Debbie the owners are awesome. This place has something to offer for everyone!

Have had breakfast here a couple times and it has only been ok. The food was good but basic, disappointing Bloody Mary’s, atmosphere was lacking, and the service slow. I wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone.

Breakfast food is good but nothing special. Servers are nice but can be slow. A good option if you can’t cook eggs yourself or dunkin donuts burns to the ground. Atmosphere is awkward. It’s a like a cross between LaQuinta Inn hotel bar and your 98 year old Italian grandmothers dining room.

Went for dinner last night. Everything was fabulous! Zucchini sticks, chicken parm and the filet-​all delicious! Great wine list and service! I will be back for lunch next time as I am dying to try the monte cristo sandwich.

We discovered this place about a month ago. We have gone back three times. The food is great, Atmosphere is good too. Definitely worth dining at in Sandwich, Mass. Much better than the restaurants in the area. Italian food is always good but theirs is a notch above!!!

Moving back to Ma. 3 years ago we are always asking people «what’s their favorite» Canterberry Cuisine was suggested… So we tried it… IT WAS EXCELLENT… great food… good prices and if your Lucky enough to get Kerrie as your server you’ll get THE BEST service… it, s now one of our favorite restaurants, we try to go there as often as possible. We have never been disappointed… keep up the good work

If Walmart was a restaurant this would be the place. My boyfriend and I went here for the first time after the place we wanted to go to was packed. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated for the two of us which would have been fine except that 5 minutes of us waiting a family of 5 came in off the street, no call ahead, and got sat immediately. The service was TERRIBLE. We sat there for close to an hour with our server coming over once to check on us before our food came. Our server was very friendly to her regulars but couldn’t be bothered with us. I nearly got us and walked out. 45 minutes later when our food finally arrived it was sloppy and mediocre at best and there was no apology for the large delay. If you are into subpar food, hillbilly atmosphere, and no service then this is the place for you.

I’ve eaten here twice now and both visits to this establishment were excellent. The servers are spectacularly polite and professional. Everything is prompt and the food has come out rather quickly for how good it is. It’s not noisy, there hasn’t been a huge line, and it isn’t expensive by Cape Cod standards. I don’t know what more you could ask for, other than a refill on the delicious Bloody Mary!

Very very good food, service and atmosphere ! You try this new restaurant it will become a regular. If you like a cozy bar with a «snug» this place is perfect! A total revamping inside makes for a pleasant dining experience. Their wait staff is absolute top notch ! Give it a try…

I have been for breakfast and lunch only. Now they are «Canterbury Cuisine»…and are serving dinner. Decent fare… good eggs bene. but make sure to ask for the eggs soft because they will cook them pretty hard if you don’t…asian chicken salad is a winner.
Most things on the lunch menu are pretty good.
If you order the fries… ask for them x-​tra crispy… and skip the onion rings.
Family owned place… nice service for the most part.
