Good selection of wine. And snacks. Great place to have across the street to a hotel practically in the middle of nowhere. Just wish I could find their hours online.

Amazing selection of all adult beverages and soft drinks at fairly reasonable prices considering that there isn’t much competition nearby. Good place to buy replacemeny bottles from hotel minibar.

Pretty much a life saver since there’s nothing until Paso. We stopped in on our way to Hearst’s Castle and there isn’t anything in between really unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. This shop has just about everything from a great variety of wine, beer, and liquor to energy drinks, coffee, snacks for the car ride and everything in between for a regular price. You would think it would be more expensive since it’s literally the only thing out here but no! Thank goodness.

A little cramped but a good convenience/liquor store near the motels in San Simeon. Walkable distance from all the motels. I liked the pretty good selection of quick to eat foods and beers. Lots of microwave burritos and hot pockets. The best I had were the locally made things. The yogurt with granola and raisons was really good. The cashier could have been a bit more attentive. It seemed like he was preoccupied with the internet or something behind the counter.

I love the cooler weather in the area but dont care much for the over priced coffee shops… especially when the coffee doesnt taste very good. I was surprised to find that this store had a cappuchino mahine :) Thank goodness! It hit the spot and saved my wallet ;)

The mini-mart here literally saved my family. After driving all day and arriving to horrible hotel service, we were starving. We went to the mini mart and were surprised at how much they could pack in it. They had everything, from eggs to sandwiches to snacks to beer. One thing that I did find annoying was the service– a teenage boy reading comics on his computer! I thought it was a little odd, but who am I to judge? The mini-mart was small and cramped, and being a little claustrophobic, I felt uncomfortable. But amazing store!

I was thrilled to find a liquor store in San Simeon. Their prices were reasonable and their selection of beers was good.

Useful little store to pick up some drinks or snacks or both. It’s got more items than expected. Noticed that a gallon of water(that big bottle) was about the same price as a 1.5l bottle. Pastries in the morning were yummy. No complaints here.

It’s a shady Liquor store, just like the ones you’ll find at home. San Simeon Liquors, with is dark parking lot is a refuge for motel guests in the area seeking late evening libations. I loaded up on bottled water, but they have all the beverages you’d expect at a liquor store. Go before dark.

Picture a tiny Japanese girl who speaks pretty good English approaching the counter to ask a Large, Frowning Man(with arms folded)… (Her) «Do you have any Sun Chips?» (Angry Tall Man)…without moving an inch,…“They should be on the bottom shelf.“ Uh, yeah. The three of us looked. They didn’t have any and he didn’t care one bit! Maybe if they didn’t waste an entire shelf of prime mini-mart real estate on a bunch of ridiculous tiny wooden skrimshaw animal figures for $ 19.99? Then they could stock something more relevant for people just looking for some quick snacks for their nearby overnight hotel stays? And then this place would make more money? And then frowny man would turn happy? Just a dream. The place is worth two stars, but since I was on a «Vacation High»…I’ll give it another star because this guy wasn’t going to bring down my night one bit!

If it wasn’t already so cold I’d be buying ice cream instead. My friend and I went in to buy ingredients for s’mores. One aisle smelled like mosquito repellent. She was here earlier to buy rice krispy treats. The cashier threw in a couple of metal skewers for free. The postcards are around the corner to the left of the entrance. There is a small room full of wine. They only had one brand of graham crackers. This is like a very small grocery store without produce. We had to ask for help to find marshmallows and get the price difference between regular Hershey bars v. king size($ 0.75).
