Great food and service. I went there for dinner and breakfast and it was great. The eggplant parmesana was amasing!

Don’t waste your time. Drive to Cambria. I mean my food wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great. Usual Alfredo with frozen chicken chunks. The staff barely checked on us. Waited 30 – 40 mins for garlic bread. Woke up with your runs.

We went here because our hotel recommended it. We had a blast, our bartender Luis was wonderful. He made the best margaritas and we were there for karaōke on a Friday night. Luis sang also. We shared a chicken quesadilla that was really good! The KJ and his wife were an absolute hoot. I would absolutely go back, I don’t know why they didn’t get better reviews.

Stopped here for breakfast. The coffee was terrible and the creamer was expired. The waiters were super unorganized and the glasses had lip stick. I would never go back!

Went into the bar since there was nobody at the front counter. It was off season, so I can understand that. Sat down and ordered a drink which came in a glass that was somewhere between this size of a large shot glass and a rocks glass. Very small. Watched the bartender start filling it with 7up before he poured in what I would guess was about ¾ of an ounce of whiskey. It was still nearly clear. He was a young kid, so I just let it slide and took a sip and it might as well have been soda water. The syrup was nearly out. He noticed my face and asked me if it was okay. I told him that the syrup was going out but it would be fine. He said he’d look at it. Anyways, ordered lunch, which was fine. It was pricey, but it’s in a tourist location so it’s to be expected. Figured I’d give the kid a second chance on a 2nd round of drinks. Guess I can only blame myself, because I received the exact same drink as before. About 3 ounces of soda water with a pinch of 7up syrup and again not even an once of whiskey. Then comes the check… $ 7 each for drinks… Nice… Mind you these were well drinks. So between the 2 of us with 2 drinks a piece, I effectively paid $ 28 for about 3 ounces total of well whiskey.

Kevin and I stopped for appetizers after a busy afternoon photographing at the nearby lighthouse. We ate in the bar rather than the restaurant and I am so glad we did. Elvis came to our table to welcome us and he held my hand. He was a pretty talented impersonated who told me he was in the movie 3000 Miles to Graceland. Kevin had quesadillas and I had the Buffalo wings. The wings were very spicy; the ranch dip cooled them a bit. They were meaty, messy and there were a lot of them on my plate. The Manhattan cocktails I ordered were well prepared. It was Saturday night and the bar was packed for Karaōke with Elvis. The majority of the people in the bar seemed to be from the Atascadero Moose Club and they were there to party and they all wanted to sing. I really-really enjoying listening to them; some were good and some were not so talented. It didn’t seem to matter, they were all enjoying themselves and so did I. They even shared someone’s birthday cake with us. Thankfully for the crowd even three strong Manhattans did not temp me to try and sing. It was a very enjoyable way to spend several hours, and 1000 times better than sitting in Motel 6 by myself. I am going to San Simeon again in mid January and I do plan to come here again! I’ll have to decide my favorite Elvis song and make a request.

We stopped by this place for breakfast during our road trip up north(we’re from Southern California). I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was to die for! I loved listening to the ocean crashing while we sat outside and enjoyed our yummy breakfast.

Horribally slow. The wifi doesn’t work. Asked for a extra bowl and cup and it never appears on the table. Nobody refills the water. Also, the waiter ‘gladly’ added the tip on the bill for us without asking. The food is mediocre and nothing special.

I think it was the only restaurant open for miles. Plus I was too lazy and cold to go any farther. Not that I needed to go any farther — their menu kind of has a little bit of everything, like a roadside diner but better. I loved the Fried Artichoke Hearts. They’re battered just the right amount, and they’re pretty great with ranch dressing. It was freezing outside so a rack of ribs hit the spot. The ribs could have been more moist, but no real complaints. They’re a bit pricey, but not entirely unfair. We ate to strains of Elvis karaōke night. We didn’t participate, but it sounded like people were having a great time. I definitely didn’t mind being serenaded over a pitcher of beer, and the food wasn’t half bad either.

Driving by, it looks like it may be nice with a little patio that has a view. That’s where it ends. I ordered an Ice Tea, and for the first time in my life a restaurant served me the instant mix stir-in powder type of ice tea! This was not a good sign. The burger– for $ 12 the only place that can get away with using frozen, poor quality patties at that price would be Disney World, and yet it was happily served to me here. Just a complete abomination.

This restaurant had the worst chicken parm I have ever had and it is expensive for what you get. I would not go back and would not recommend it!

The place is right across the road facing the ocean. It’s your typical bar and grill set up except the Tons of TV blasting sports channel, like the other sports bar. I had to wait for few minutes due to short staff, I guess. But the lady was nice. I ordered the cheeseburger… The burger is nothing in extraordinary. But the fries… Very crispy. I like it a lot. Price is a little high.

Truly bad service. This place needs to get their act together. We sat outside, which by default means you get ignored. It seems like the guys were really trying but not successfully. I don’t think they were trained to be servers. They were all over the place. We had to ask for everything that came to the table. The food is mediocre. Not terrible but certainly not good. Edible. If you need to eat before your trip to Big Sur, this is where you’d have to do it. We had the Caesar salad and the clam chowder. Clam chowder from the can and salad dressing from a bottle. They’re not really even trying but when you’re across from the ocean and have an amazing view, I guess you don’t have to.

Horrible service! We asked to sit outside, but they said they only had one clean in the sun and wouldn’t clean the dirty one in the shade for us and a toddler. When we sat down we ordered raw oysters and not only were the oysters still sandy and dirty, but they weren’t even shucked correctly. When I told them we didn’t care for them they took them back, rinsed the half shells in water and gave them back. After our pizza we had to wait at least 10mins after our meal to get the check, which they didn’t even come back to run our card. Luckily I had enough cash to cover the bill with the small tip I only left because the server was a sweet older lady. It is sad they do not serve good food, have great service, or be attentive to their customers when there are so many other places to eat within a block!

One of the few food options in San Simeon. This place is large and has a nice ambiance and ocean view, but food is just average. I was particularly disappointed with the Fish and Chips, the fish has no taste. The free bread was tasty but it was super oily. My party also ordered Rib Eye Steak and that was nicely made. Service is quite slow but I see everyone was super busy running around attending all the tables.

We stayed here for a 3 day car event and this restaurant fit our needs perfectly. The food was superior to your basic hotel fare or Denny’s. With 10% coupon, the prices were quite acceptable. The breakfasts were excellent. Best was the Mexican scramble. Fresh pico de gallo and really fine chorizo. And I am picky about chorizo. The breakfast sausage was very fresh and tasty. My husband said his pancakes were light and hot and fluffy. The home fries were top notch. Not from frozen potatoes. Cooked with fresh bell pepper and onion. Portions were large too. Our group had the banquet here and that was also very good. Love the ocean view.

I went here for breakfast. I did not have high expectations starting off so my standards were met. This place has got the diner feeling to it. They have indoor/outdoor seating, both have a wonderful view of the ocean. I can only tell you about their breakfast because that is all I had. The breakfast was great, the«home fries» were really great, they are basicly country potatoes. The hash browns were the only thing that was disappointing(dry, hard, brown brick). Bottom line– place was clean, service was fast and friendly, the coffee was good, the food was delicious, and you have a great view! PS. I would go with any of their omlettes if I was you.

This place is like a Denny’s. Go for breakfast, I can’t promise you good things for anything else. There are breakfast specials if you stay in the area. For $ 7, I had the choice of french toast, a waffle, or eggs, potatoes, toast and a choice of meat as my entrée with a coffee/tea AND a juice/milk. Not bad for a tourist location =D The french toast was pretty standard and came in 4 half slices.

We stayed in San Simeon to see Hearst Castle. This was the only bar and we wanted a little good, some drinks and Football. We met a really nice young man at the bar yesterday. Service was excellent, food was tasty. Tonight we decided on an appetizer, drink and Monday night football. LOTS of TV’s. Again, service was very good, and we enjoyed the Coconut Shrimp and Oysters Rockefeller. We would come again!
