The food was pretty good, not bad but also not write home to mama good. The thing that got a few stars docked was the fact that the guy at the register, I think he was a manager was on the phone the whole time he waited on us and was kind of a grouch. So bottom line was the food was good, but the vibe in the joint was kind of depressing.

Second time we have been here for take –out. The food as OK, except the brisket was very fatty so we didn’t eat much of that. I had the sliders and those were very good along with the fries. I like that they have a good selection of sides. What I don’t like(second time coming here) is coming in on a Saturday at 4:00 pm and told NO ribs, and NO fries. What is a bbq place without ribs? POOR planning on management not to have ribs on a late Saturday afternoon?

Came after they changed the management. Got my usual 2 meats sandwich, fired okra, and just water since I can’t drink soda. The cashier managed to charge me 2 something for a tiny plastic cup for water. When I asked him why a tap water cost money, he just shrugged his shoulder and punched it again and it showed again as costing 2 bucks. At this point I gave up since it’s not worth my time. The food is okay, but come on. Train your employees.

Got off work at Wednesday 5pm December 16th in San Ramon and felt like BBQ. Went to Dickey’s waited in line for about 10 minutes got to the front of the line and ordered some ribs. The guy working at Dickey;s says to me. «Aint got no ribs, All out» my bad. What was I thinking ordering ribs at Wednesday at 5pm dinner time? Cmon Dickeys you can do better than that. Next they will be telling me they are out of BBQ sauce. Left disappointed and felt like Dickey’s just doesn’t care or does not manage its restaurants, just wants the money. We’ll they don;t get mine anymore. Will it put them out of business. No, Charles

Andre is a fantastic server… Okay all sarcasm aside he was the most passive aggressive sphincter ever. I walked in an waited in line for approximately 5 minutes. Once i was finally«helped» i asked for a big barbeque with pulled pork, because i was nervous about the brisket because it had been sitting on the counter since i had arrived, and who knows how long before… seeing that no one else was there. I proceeded to start to pay for my sandwhich at which time andre, supposedly the manager of this fine establishment, proceeded to wish me that my sandwhich was cold. After the insulting comment on the potential state of my food that andre prepared i refused to pay for and eat my sandwhich, so i left hungry. I cannot honestly believe the lack of respect these so called employees have for potentially paying customers.

Basic bbq. Nothing special but service was good though. I got a rib n chicken plate … There wasn’t that much flavor and you could tell that they don’t use that great of ingredients.

It feels like the quality of the food, customer service and overall satisfaction has gone down since they opened 2 years ago. I’m not sure why every one working there is so unhappy. And under staffed. The Caesar salad I get all the time and this time it was clearly watered down. Bummer.

I love this place! I usually hate meat but my coworker asked me to pick him up a sandwich on my way to the store and I decided to get my boyfriend one as well. We got the westerner with just pulled pork, BBQ sauce, and cheese. I took a bite of his and was shocked, it was amazing! I’ve never like pulled pork sandwiches but now I’m hooked! I love that there’s free ice cream too! I always get a piece of pecan pie on the side and put some vanilla ice cream on it(: I haven’t tried anything else there yet but I plan on getting another sandwich and trying the beans and mac n cheese today for lunch so ill update with how those are. Price is a bit high but the quality makes it worth while. Service is always great with the guy there that usually makes the sandwiches(manager I think). BUT I sent my bf there the other day and he said some girl made the sandwiches that time and didn’t really care about what she was doing. Well, when I opened my bag there was no BBQ sauce on my sandwich just dry, the sauce was put in a little plastic container which broke all over the bag, pie, sandwich wrapper, everything. I stuck my hand in the bag to grab the sandwich and my hand came out covered in the sauce. Very disappointed that time. But I will see if it was just a bad day and try again.

The food was pretty dry and flavorless, I wouldn’t come back. We got it to go and someone else picked up the food so I can’t speak for the service or the state of the establishment. The chicken breast was ok.

I like it. It is probably nothing to write home about but for some bbq close to home this will be the place to go to. I ordered the XL family meal that came with 3 types of meat, 4 sides and 8 rolls. –chicken: a bit dry but okay if you cover and smother it with bbq sauce –brisket: tasty, we ordered the chopped version and it was juicy– our favorite –sausages: since it was slow the gal there was able to hook us up with 2 types they had, Polish and cheddar one, and well sausage is what it is so it was what was expected. — sides: macncheese was good– not too cheesy, cole slaw was a good break from the constant meat taste, the criss cut fries were fine– a bit salty but that’s how we like it and our last side was the Caesar salad– which is like the usual store bought salad. The gal that helped me over the phone was nice and didn’t mind explaining things to me; even listed all of the sides over the phone and they have a lot to choose from. When I came in to pick up — it was the same girl that took my order, and she was friendly and provided me with all my fixings, extra bbq sauce the whole shabang! So thumbs up on the customer service I received!

Recent experiences have been FANTASTIC! Food is good BUT service has greatly improved. Place is not messy as it used to be in 2014 and the staff are attentive. All the BBQ is great except for the ribs. Pulled pork and chicken are definitely well above average. A BIG hit with kids is the complimentary soft serve.

Wow! Compared to the last time that we are here this place is a million times better. Really friendly employees now. I had the beef brisket big BBQ sandwich, which was absolutely excellent. My wife at beef brisket also the little hoagie sandwich. The sandwich rolls was also really soft really great. And I love the BBQ beans. The owner r is really doing something right. This place is a ton better than before. As soon as I walked in, several employees greeted me in a very friendly fashion. This is quite a bit different than it was before and all for the better.

Pretty decent fast-food BBQ place thats currently under new management. They have lots of combinations of meats and sides to choose from, which I like. This was my second time here for takeout and I did notice the service being friendlier and smoother. I got the 2-meat plate with pulled pork and brisket as the meats and the green beans and cole slaw as sides. The slaw was memorable as it was creamy and chopped up into small, uniform pieces that were crunchy. Beans were a bit soggy in texture but flavorful from the bacon. Meats extremely tender and smoky. Next time I would avoid sauce since you can pack your own sauce in the condiment section with default or spicy sauce in the heated bins. I will probably back since the only main nearby competition is Kinder’s. I really do like the mix and match format. I’m also too lazy to drive to PHill for Slow Hand which used to be one if our favorites!

The new owners have really turned this place around! Food is great and the hospitality is amazing! Chantal and her staff are engaged with the customers and VERY friendly. Got a greeting as soon as we walked in the door! Love the spicy cheddar sausage and the jalapeño beans. So many favorites! Be on the lookout for Stampede Stew! It’s incredible!(Ask for a sample) Don’t forget to help yourself to the free soft serve.
