Worse experience at a Boba/Milk Tea place I’ve EVER in the Bay Area and I’ve been to many. Was excited to hear one opened in Marin where my parents live, but so disappointed. I went in(today) at 4pm and no one was in line, but the cashier girl had her head down for the 3 min I stood there drawing pictures on a yellow note pad. I finally asked her, «excuse me, are you open?» She looked up annoyed and rolled her eyes saying yes, but failed to realize I asked bc she was acting like they were closed and didn’t even bother to look up to notice I’ve been standing there the whole time waiting for her to finish her drawing. She didn’t seem like she knew how to make the drink I was ordering bc she asked the Latino worker if it was correct. When I received my drink 2 problems right away: 1.) I ordered a large and she filled it 2⁄3 of the way. 2.) it was supposed to be a slushy, but it was completely liquid and didn’t look right(and taste turned out to be worse) I asked her if she made it correctly bc it seemed more like a milk the than slushy and she rolled her eyes and gave me a smirk. I’m so shocked bc I totally wanted this place to be good, but unfortunately it looks like they simply hired a terrible high schooler wishing work would go by faster. Maybe if it was someone else who took my order I would have had a better experience on service and food quality, but I could only base on this experience.

I have an unhealthy boba obsession, so of course I have to stop by T-Partea while I’m shopping at Northgate. The cashier was friendly(unfortunately didn’t catch his name) and gave me suggestions on what drinks to get. I received my drink within 1 minute, so I immediately dove in. I experienced the heavenly chewy boba and pleasant milk tea flavor. and nice milky drinks, not too thick and not watery like some places I’ve been to. After reading and taking notes of the good vegetarian snack options, I will definitely try them when I return again. Although T-Partea doesn’t have as many tea flavors or variety as the Quickly in San Rafael, I enjoy the mall atmosphere and«homey» feel the shop has.

I was walking around Northgate Mall yesterday and started to get that rumbling in the stomach. You know, the kind where you’re thinking, «I really need to eat, but the food court is the closest food available, do I really want to walk far for food?» No I didn’t, so off to the food court I went. Sbarro, nope. Subway, nope. TPartea, um, Tpartea? Banh Mi sandwiches? I ordered the grilled pork sandwich not expecting much from a tiny stall at the food court. After paying $ 5 for the sandwich, Ivan(the guy behind the sandwiches) handed me a big sandwich. Sat down, opened up the wrapper and took a bite. Seriously!!! The roll was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and smeared with a tasty homemade spread. The generous amount of grilled pork was perfectly marinated, the crunchy carrots and radish were julienned with a slight pickled flavor, the freshly sliced cucumbers, cilantro and sliced jalapeño finished off the balance of flavors. I seriously felt like it was too good to be true! The best banh mi sandwich right inside the food court hands down, SOGOOD! I will be going back again and again, and next time I’ll try the boba that’s for sure!

Sometimes no one’s here, but overall they make good boba! Make sure to get a loyalty card and their thai teas are definitely worth it!

LOVE. I go here so much I might as well be made of boba. She started out as a side cart in the mall and now has a mall front and I couldn’t be happier for her! The boba is always fresh and SO good. Once you have really good, honey boba — you can never go somewhere that doesn’t have it. The flavors are great, the staff is super friendly and very accommodating. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I move to not have this place to go to all the time! Marin was without boba for so long — and we’ve been blessed, I tell ya. My go to is the iced mango black tea not too sweet with half honey boba & mango stars or the iced peach black tea with half honey boba & mango stars. Also really enjoy the rose tea(again not too sweet) with honey boba :) I would put this place above a ton of ones I’ve tried in SF and East Bay. This is one of my all time favorite and I hope one day she gets her own store!

Finally a place in Marin where there is some yummy food and close to work. The BBQ chicken sandwich with pâté(extra fee) was delicious as was the regular boba milk tea. Yum… I’d go back. Actually got my coworkers hooked on the banh mi sandwiches! Score!

Not a happy customer when it says they’re «open» and make the drive over and they’re in fact not. Maybe another day but until 1 star for the disappointment.

From kiosk to full fledged food court vendor, So happy that T-Partea has a spot here. The young lady who started this venture is welcoming, friendly and makes super good Boba tea drinks. Now she also has banh-mi and spring rolls. I am so glad this spot is doing well. Definitely worth the trip to Northgate Mall. Don’t forget to get a frequent buyer card.

I was so exciting that they finally have a boba place in Northgate! But their boba disappointed me. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba(it was around 5dollar which is a pretty expensive boba price). It tastes like sugar and waternothing like milk tea

Was excited to see banh mi in Marin but unfortuntely, the banh mi here is terrible. All I crave is banh mi after visiting Vietnam but this place was such a let down. Service was great. The guy behind the counter wondered what I was talking about when I asked for fish dip sauce for the spring rolls though. Ordered the combo banh mi. Very little meat in the sandwich, paté didn’t taste authentic. Something you get a gas station. Bread was stale tasting. There were no fresh ingredients. FYI: The heart of a banh mi is in the fresh veggies!!! This might have been a decent ham sandwich but it was not a banh mi. They need to keep trying. I do give them kudos for explaining to the non asians what a banh mi is! ;) I will go back to try their teas! UPDATE: The owner was kind enough to post a little something in response to my review which I really appreciate! I just wanted to clear up(hate to be redundant) and say that the gas station comment wasn’t that it actually came from a gas station but that it resembled something I bought at a gas station. I don’t want to be mean but it was one of the worst ones I have tried and I have been eating banh mi since I was 5. I have also been up and down Vietnam trying all the different types of banh mi(including the Banh mi queen in Hoi An). It doesn’t make me an expert but it does allow me to know the difference between a bad banh mi and a good one. I will not go back to try their banh mi again but I might stop by for tea which looks very promising. The establishment does not need to serve fish sauce or nuoc cham for the spring rolls but maybe educating the employees a little bit about asian culture would be useful because that is what they are selling thus it would authenticate the experience a bit more!

Boyfriend and I came here because it was the only boba place within 10 miles. We got a milk tea with pearls and a Hong Kong milk tea with pearls. For the milk tea, my boyfriend said his tastes like the leftover milk after you eat your cereal, which I don’t see is a bad thing. He said the boba is just okay. On a scale of 1 – 10, 6. For my Hong Kong milk tea, I thought it was very creamy and sweet. But my boyfriend said it just taste like sugar and milk. My rating for their boba is a 7.

So it’s in the Northgate Mall. Who cares? At least you’re not crossing bridges to get your boba fix(just, you know, the usual crowds of mall rats). Finally, Marin gets a quality boba tea and banh mi shop! With cute names for drink sizes like T-Cup and T-Pot, what’s not to love about TPartea? All the prices are very reasonable. Although there may not be as many flavor choices as the Quickly’s in downtown San Rafael, I feel like I am supporting a business that cares about customer service and does not load their drinks with too much sugar/sweetener whenever I order some milk tea from here. Hong Kong Milk Tea with Honey Boba is the one combo that I find works the best, time and time again. Note that there are flavored popping boba to add for an additional $ 0.50– awesome! They do offer tasty Vietnamese pork combo, BBQ chicken, and tofu sandwiches for under $ 6, which beats the usual mall fare by a mile in terms of quality alone.

Love that there is finally a boba tea place in San Rafael! Nice pit stop when there is not much else in the area to see. Cool flavors too like hong kong milk tea and nutella milk tea.

The young man who assisted me said hello right away. He offered suggestions after asking two questions. I ordered the Thai Tea w/Tapioca and it was fantastic. Not bitter at all. The Tapioca Pearls were perfect! They were not overly hard either. The tea was perfectly sweetened as well. I will definitely try this cart again.

This is the only boba stand I know of in Marin… Thank you for existing!!! I don’t care that it is more $$$ than in other parts of the SF Bay Area… It tastes good enough and takes care of one aspect of my Asian cravings– without paying toll to get into the East Bay or the city. TPartea is located in front of the Japanese sushi grill in the Northgate Mall food court. It may look closed if the employee is sitting, so walk up to make sure that it is open.

Yum, I decided to go here on the way home from Point Reyes with some friends because we were craving boba. I ended up getting the horchata with honey boba and it was soo good. The service was great and the girl told me it was homemade horchata. The consistency for the honey boba was perfect. This is a small little booth inside the food court at some mall so it could be easy to miss just FYI.

A fun little spot in Northgate mall to get Boba. The TPartea tea stand is located in the food court area of Northgate mall. A convenient location to get some delicious tea, with or without boba. I’ve tried their Hong Kong Milk tea, Green Matcha Tea, and Jasmine green tea. I liked them all, but the Green Matcha tea is probably my favorite. I’ve been lucky enough to get their boba teas while the boba was still warm from being cooked. Yum!

My sister pointed this place out to me, she’d been wanting boba tea for a while now so we came here. Seems like the were out of a number of items when we rolled up(around 2pm), I really wanted a Thai Tea, but alas it wasn’t meant to be. I got a black tea with honey boba. The tea itself was good, the boba was kinda bland, although my sister said she could taste the honey in hers. All in all it was okay. I’ll be back to taste a Thai tea and some other boba(got lots of flavors) and to see how customized I can make it(minus the sugar and maybe soy?).

Based on the reviews and the 5 star rating, I came to Northgate Mall, ecstatic to try Marin’s latest boba shop. I gave their matcha green milk tea a try, and was unfortunately disappointed. While they use quality milk, the rest of the ingredients tasted extremely cheap. The matcha powder leaves quite a upsetting aftertaste, rather chalky and not particularly strong in flavor. The«honey boba» however was the most disappointing factor. Their boba tastes like the cheap kind — with a plasticky/watery taste, with no chewiness to it, and there is a complete lack of honey flavor. Additionally, at $ 5.25 for the drink and boba, I’d have hoped for a better quality drink. Overall, if this was anywhere but Marin, I would probably have given this 1 – 2 stars. However, since it’s still starting out and it is located smack in the middle of almost-no-asians-land, I’ll give it a three star in the hopes that it improves!
