So I logged in just to write his review. I used to come here almost once a week with my kids to or from activities. When people usually write negative reviews due to service I often disregard them. But now I will pay more attention to how establishments treat people. The food is touch and go. The Korean food is really bland and seems as if it had been microwaved. The eggs in the sandwiches as well. Bagels are consistently ok. I used to drive an older car and when I would drive up to the drive thru they were super sweet, even offering free smoothie samples. This time I had the worst experience ever. I pulled up with my own menu that I keep in my glove compartment and when I asked some questions I got this aggregated almost hostile response. They ended up charging me a dollar extra per item then stated on the menu, then when I inquired they told me the menu was wrong. They pointed out the change, it turned out that they had gotten me the wrong dish. When I corrected them they were just pissed. Basically, one person took my order, another one gave me my change, another came out about the menu discrepancy, and another gave me the correct order. All 3 women were totally hostile– the man was just confused. Now I am not sure if I should even eat this… spit in the food anyone? And I was still overcharged for both items. The girl basically threw me my change and walked away so fast I couldn’t get anyone else out to the curb to give me the rest of my money. What?! If I didn’t have a sleeping baby I would have gotten out of the car and confronted them. I am used to driving through this place and having it be such a pleasant experience, especially when I am starving or under caffeinated with sleeping children. I have always come back even if what I ordered was not so great(like green tint on the French dip meat or soggy bread with tuna melt). Both my kids love driving through here for smoothies– and this place basically has monopoly on drive thru food and coffee. I will only be back if I have no choice.

Un des rares restaurants coréens de SF Bay Area qui de plus, est tenu par des coréens. Mon lunch spot pour l’année à venir! Testé et approuvé: les short ribs grillés.

I was excited to learn that this restaurant had Korean food. Me being Korean and not having many options in Marin, I had medium expectations. Overall, I was pretty happy. The spicy pork was very good and the side salad that comes with is tasty. The bibimbap was disappointing because it had way too much onions and didn’t have the authentic ingredients. Order it only if you love a lot of onions.

My husband and I came here to eat outside. Although we love our regular places in town, it was SO nice to be able to quickly find a seat to eat outside without having to wait a long time! The food was also pretty good and inexpensive. I had a salad with grilled chicken and my husband had a Korean meal. We would come back again!

I think the food is terrific and I often swing by for lunch to get one of their Asian Stir Fry bowls. The kids love the burgers there too. I wish the coffee was better, but overall, it’s a great little place to eat lunch and they are so, so sweet. Just lovely people:)

This place kicks ass. Check out their Korean menu, which is authentic, simply prepared, healthy, and absolutely delicious. The coffee is okay too. But that’s not what I go here for. why would I, when they have super yummy Thai iced tea? if I had to recommend certain dishes, the spiced pork and the chicken don buri would be at the top of the list. Consider adding a fried egg. this place seems to be relatively overlooked due to its miss leading name. But it is definitely worth checking out, so don’t miss out.

Obsessed with their chicken udon soup! Anytime the weather gets cold or I’m getting sick this is my go to! Tons of fresh veggies, big chunks of chicken, thick noodles & tasty broth = pure perfection!

Java Hub Café sounds like a café so i ordered coffee while quickly looking at the overhead menu. didn’t see the bimbap or other asian specialties. am usually bad at finding things on menu.(give me an ½ hour, i’ll find it) brew: m. coffee, 1,75 –pretty harsh stuff, probably been sitting around drips: –no doubt missed out on the goodies here’ –good service, avoid the coffee. –nice place to chill, inside or out. off the mainstreet by a block.

I usually get the turkey breakfast burrito and the Strawberry Orange Banana smoothie in the morning. The prices are reasonable, and the food is light, which keeps me going all day. Not to mention the staff is awesome and always very nice! It’s my go to place in the morning.

You basically could have heard my sigh of relief from down the street. I was on this crazy hunt for coffee at lunchtime, and I wanted to be from someplace new to me. I ask, where can I find delicious independent coffee in the greater San Rafael area? The service was efficient and professional. The price was right(I think $ 2 or less). The food looked varied, delicious, and inexpensive. It smelled yummy. There was sufficient parking. The coffee was fine. Java Hub is not my savior, but it definitely served its purpose.

I like the fact that they have an interesting menu. Spicy chicken sando is one of my regular picks. However the Tri Tip Sando’s have gone way down hill.

I seldom give out 1-star reviews. This is because I am pretty generous regarding tastes and décor, and also because I think it’s a little unfair to a business on some level. But Java hub, you get the infamous 1-star review from me. I’ve come in here a few times, as it is on my route when I’m doing deliveries and pickups for work. The first time I came in it was a hot day in late summer and I wanted nothing more than an iced green tea. They obliged, but to the tune of $ 3.50. Are you kidding me? The cost of iced green tea aside, I wouldn’t give 1-star out for unfairly priced food. BUT, I will give 1-star out for food that made me SICK. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger(against my better instincts) and when it arrived I tried to make a go of it. I am an avid carnivore, and am typically not dissuaded from a burger, but this one smelled off and tasted just the same. I got through half of it(to their credit it was a large burger for the price) and put it down. Flash forward 8 hours, and my guts are killing me. I’ll spare you the gory details, but suffice to say my intestines revolted, and I was passing nothing solid for all of the next day. I haven’t had their coffee, but I won’t be coming in here again. To all those that love this place, you are braver, more fortunate souls than I am.

The location, food quality, and price of this Café justify at least several stars in their own right, yet even if it were transported to Hunter’s Point and began serving nothing but 30-dollar pickles I think I would give Java Hub five stars on the condition that Joyce was behind the counter. She’s the kind of person that makes me want to dust off my Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and work on human cloning under the assumption that if only the world had more Joyce’s in it we would find the will to end all wars, treat all diseases, and put food in the mouth of every child. What I mean to say is: Her smile will remind you that the sun is shining on the other side of the window. In addition, they have an impressive selection of food and beverages, all of which have tasted great so far! Did I mention my first coffee refill was free?

Joyce the proprietor does a nice job here. I go just for the smoothies, and she makes a good one. The S.O.B. smoothie — great name — is strawberries, orange juice and banana. I have it with a protein boost for my great big muscles. Quite delicious. She has a coffee drive through that gets a lot of traffic. Good for her, but not for me as she gives them priority when they pull up! But not a problem. She takes care of them very quickly.

Super friendly service, I wish I could give Java Hub more stars. Subpar coffee, pastries tasted like they were straight from Costco. Did not try their Korean lunch items. I could see this place being a popular bicycle rest-stop. I’m going to chalk up its high Unilocal review average to its loyal local clientele base, but can’t see myself driving back here for coffee.

I love this place. Very convenient drive-thru coffee and muffins. We often order breakfast bagels or grilled sandwiches for lunch. Our girls love the smoothies. The folks who run the place are the nicest people around and have been great neighbors over the years. Great for a to-go order or a nice moment to relax and read the paper over coffee. Add these guys to your list!

Try the Korean and Asian specialties. I love the udon noodles with chicken and vegetables, sesame seeds and green onions. I always ask the owner(I think her name is Joyce) to make this without broth… She tells me to call it «Chicken Noodle Donburi»…I also like the potstickers, which are more like gyoza… The drive-through is awesome because you can call ahead and get healthy bagels and cream cheese and smoothies and not just coffee or pastries.
