My husband and I recently enjoyed a delicious dinner here with mu su pork and spicy basil chicken. For a restaurant in a strip mall, it had a nice formality to it, such as when the waitress wrapped the filling into 4 pancakes for us! Nice booths, quality food and ambience. The lunch specials are also great food at a good price if you live around Terra Linda. Let’s support this local restaurant since we have few healthy, reasonable options in the neighborhood.

Been this location before. But mostly to their other location maybe a dozen times. Pings can make awesome foods. So pick their Unilocal’Rs Foodie Items of Choice. At San Rafael location among them are Lemon Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Hot n Sour soup. Those three pretty awesome. Magnificiently so. At Northgate one today Im ordering Hot and Sour soup. Princess Beef. Hong Kong Pan Fried Tomato Beef Noodles. The Hot n Sour soup. Excellent if you have a cold. Was good. Different from San Rafael location. 3.75 stars here(Hmmmm no pork strips in soup). 5 stars there. But really yummy there. Princess Beef. Never tried this before. My Fav is Orange Peel Beef as Enjoyed at Foodie Restuarants. Im sampling this chrispy beef for this Ping don’t have spicy orange peel beef. Princess here is 4 stars depending on ones Taste Preference. Some may rate different. They have a Princess Shrimp/Prawns as Lunch Special. Which would be hard to pass up. In price, value and taste. Tomato Beef HK Pan Fried Noodles. Tough call. Some may give 3.5 stars. Others may give 5 stars. Seems missing a rich Tomato taste. Service is attentive. Think by my preference comparing to Ping San Rafael… Todays expectation considering… 3.5 stars. Could be easily 4+ if soup or tomato beef prepared differently A plus. Hot tea is free We Had the Hong Kong style pan fried seafoods noodle on a prior visit. It was the Bomb. Must remember that

Good food at a really good price. Feeling under the weather so stopped for Wor Won Ton soup. Was the perfect comfort stop. Service is very good. All of the servers were very attentive and friendly. A lot of older people here, maybe because pricing is so good.

The BEST Mu Shu Pork ever! Friendly and efficient service. Very authentic Chinese. Generous portions. Good value, not very pricey. I’ll be back!

Hands down the BEST Chinese food in Marin County. Reception for dine in sometimes lacking because of their busy online orders, but definitely worth the wait. Freshness is key and they have it for sure. Love love love the food here!!!

I used a delivery service to have Ping’s delivered to the hotel I was staying at for a conference. We were a group of 6, so it was a large order(over $ 120). After I ordered, I called the restaurant to see if they would include some plates with the order since we were in a hotel, and found the woman who answered the phone to be very short with me, and unwilling to even listen to what I had to say. When the food arrived, it was a complete mess — with several of the boxes leaking all over the place. In addition, I had ordered mu shu, which in my experience always come with hoisin and«pancakes» to roll up the mu shu in. My dish came with neither. In general, the group was pleased with their dishes, and my mu shu was good, but would have been better with the missing components.

My family had been going to the Ping’s in San Rafael for as long as I can remember before the Terra Linda location opener. Since then, it’s way more convenient for us to get food in TL, whether it be take our or dine in. Through the past few years, we have been big fans of the new Ping’s. We usually pick it up and take it home, but never have any issues with receiving the wrong food, the restaurant forgetting anything, etc. Their customer service could be better, but it is also pleasant and not lacking. They customize the food how we want it, and they don’t use MSG which is big for me because I’m allergic. Keep it up Ping’s!

Quality Chinese food. As good as the Ping’s in San Rafael. I ordered take out from the lunch menu. Spicy basil chicken, chow mein, and comes with the puff pastry thing. In less than 10 minutes I had my food in hand and headed back to work. They’re quick, friendly, and the food is classic take out Chinese. I ate it all, but this is the best kind of cold, straight from the fridge, leftover/hangover grub.

I was really glad to find a place open at 8:55pm after visiting someone at Kaiser. Unfortunately, I can only order take out since they close at 9pm. The location is convenient at Northgate One and behind Starbucks. There’s always plenty of parking, so that’s another plus. I’ve been to the Old Pings and this one has much improved décor. Better ambiance and it makes one feel like the food would be a notch up. I found it just OK. I ordered Hong Kong style noodles combo, which surprisingly came with plenty of meat/seafood. Despite this, the flavor as a little bland and well, just ok. I happily ate it along with the Walnut Prawns, which was again, a good serving and had both black and white sesame seeds. I liked that this dish was not overly rich as it usually is at other places. The last dish, Hunan Chicken, was pretty bad. Again, good portion of meats and nice vegetables, but the taste was just a disappointment. I would eat here again if I just want Chinese food quick(it took them 10 minutes to give us our order) and am in the area. I will not go out of my way to do eat here.

This place is bomb as hell. I got the half roasted duck and some potstickers and they definitely do not skimp you on the duck. These dumplings are huge and juicy! I had to try this place after delivering for them multiple times. Best Chinese in Marin as far as I know.

I wanted a quick lunch and something a bit more than the average, and Pings did not disappoint, my food was ready in minutes and is significantly better than the average hole in the wall Chinese, the atmosphere is great, a real surprise for a strip mall, I will surely be back

I found this place on Unilocal while randomly craving Chinese food and it was totally worth it. I got a pretty standard order of Mongolian Beef, chicken Chow Mein, and hot and sour soup. The food was all very delicious and I had enough for two dinners by myself, but easily a dinner for two. Over the price is a little expensive. $ 30 for the food above seems kinda steep for take out but still really good food. And great the next day as leftovers

The food is a littler better than your average Chinese-American take out – Except we found a hair in our order both times we tried it…

Love this place! Have been here twice with my boyfriend so far. No complaints, only compliments! Food never disappoints-if your looking for tasty Chinese food. We always get the sizzling rice soup to start. This time we ordered string beans. not sure of exact name and princess chicken. Fresh and flavorful! It was packed for a Saturday night so unfortunately they ran out of fortune cookies! Fast and pleasant service as well.

My first time to this hidden restaurant at North Gate One. It was really good. The service was excellent, lots of attention and an attitude that spoke to wanting to provide a first rate experience. Hot and sour soup was very good. The Mu Shu pork was even better. A nice touch is that the server wants to do the wrapping for each diner. That’s a classy touch. Perfectly prepared. Chicken and broccoli was excellent. Chow mein was quite good. Spinach and garlic sauce was predictable but excellent. White table cloths and comfortable booths are a nice touch. The lunch special is a good price and includes soup. When it was time to leave, they packaged up leftovers, which is a nice service gesture, rather than just giving me the boxes to do it myself! All in all, one of the better Chinese restaurants in Marin, in my opinion. They seem to be trying hard to deliver a quality experience, with good food, prompt service, and good ambience.

Delicious. Great lunch specials. Not the best Chinese food you’ll ever eat but the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. For $ 8.20 I got: an egg roll, a small salad with yummy ginger dressing, and a plate piled high with«family style tofu» and fried rice. The tofu was mixed with veggies– carrots, baby corn, snow peas, etc. It was meant to be spicy but was very mild. It could have used a bit of heat but the sauce was nice and savory and the fried rice was very good. It didn’t have enough salt, though, so you have to request it because there’s none on the table. It was totally dead at lunch time; my friend and I were the only ones there so we got our food almost instantly and never wanted for water. I’d eat there again.

The best hot and sour soup I’m likely to find in the area. My shibboleths for Chinese food(made-in-America style, that is) are hot and sour soup and potstickers. Ping’s hot and sour soup was superb. Based on this alone, I shall return. I ate at Ping’s for lunch during the workweek. It was obvious by the speed of the whole lunch experience that Ping’s caters to folks in my unenviable position of having a full-time daytime job. It was easy to fit a meal in within an hour with plenty of time to spare to get back to work on time. There was no up-charge for fried rice, which was nice. Why only four stars? The chicken tasted fatty. The Kung Pao lacked pow(not nearly spicy enough for me), and there was a blue thread on my orange wedge(so I did not eat it). All that said, the portion was huge, and it was not greasy. As I alluded to above. I’ll be back to Ping’s again, but I will not try the Kung Pao again.

So glad we found this spot. It’s our new go-to place in the Terra Linda area. The food was great! Our group ordered lemon chicken, Hunan chicken, Mongolian beef, and spicy basil chicken. All great choices. Each dish was extremely flavorful. I don’t normally like lemon chicken, but there was something about the sauce that was just awesome. Oh, and the food came out FAST. They’re clearly very efficient at this spot The service was also spot on. We never had to ask for refills. Also, the price is extremely reasonable for a Chinese spot in Marin. We’ll definitely be coming back!
