I will be definitely be making another appointment with Fatima. She was able to highlight/​lowlight my hair and add an additional sophisticated color to add more of a richer color along my neckline. The cut she gave me was superb. I highly recommend Fatima @ LadyBug Styling Salon.

My housemate, who’s lived in San Rafael for decades first referred me to Ladybug Salon. I was new to the area. What a find! That first time Nasrin and her colleagues even helped me figure out exactly what to wear for my son’s wedding. Since then Fatima has been doing my hair and spoils me. She not only does a beautiful job coloring and cutting my long hair (I get frequent compliments) but she is also one of the kindest people I know. And the prices are extremely reasonable. The physical salon isn’t the fancy schmancy type but it full of more authentic warmth that is worth much more to me.

I went in for the first time today for a haircut with John. Right away I felt comfortable with him as he was very friendly and warm. Since it was my first time, I appreciated that he didn’t stop lopping off my hair making it too short (you can always go shorter, but you can’t go longer). He cut it a bit, then checked in with me, and then after I wanted it shorter, he gave me exactly what I wanted. I have curly hair and it is hard to find stylists that know how to work with it (I think). He gave me a cute A-​line that framed my face. I will enjoy wearing this!

I live up the hill from the salon, and after reading reviews, the positivity surrounding this place plus the convenience was more than enough reason for me to make an appointment. Sudi kindly returned my call during closed hours and then had me come in that same day! As everyone else has noted, the women who work here are extremely sweet, sensible, and have a great sense of humor.
As for service, well, it’s top-​notch, too. I’ve spent too many hours of my life in hair salons, and I’m very particular about who I go to because I have stubborn, thick, straight Asian hair and not many people understand how to handle it. Sudi’s attention to detail and frequent questions about your personal styling preferences make the entire experience stress-​free (and she makes the appropriate adjustments post-​cut).
I guarantee it’s worth every penny. (And on that note: cash or checks only.)

I am so impressed with the quality of work that comes out of this salon. You wouldn’t know it to look at the location but these stylists are top notch. I have always gone to very high end salons, mostly in San Francisco, but I’ll drive anywhere for a great cut and color. Little did I know that this hidden gem was in my back yard. A friend of mine recommended this place and I have been thanking him ever since. The stylist I made an appointment with was Sudi. She gave me exactly what I wanted just based on a couple of pictures. Not only was she a pleasure to work with but you can’t beat the prices. I usually leave a salon without paying under $ 300 with tip included, and Sudi’s prices were almost half that! If you are looking for great prices and superior quality this is the place to go. No more salon jumping for me.

Nasrin and Fatima are like celebrity stylists. NO JOKE!!!
Both women are stylish, progressive thinking and have mastered their craft!
My hair is long and has a very thick texture. Fatima does a great job coloring it and I LOVE LOVE LOVE her hair cuts and blow out!!!
Also, they’re two of the kindest most genuine ladies I know. You’ll feel right at home there…

I went and got my haircut at LADYBUG STYLING SALON. I’m a guy and have a short hair, and am very fussy about how my hair looks. I am also quite shy when it comes to telling people what I want, and it usually just ends up with them doing what they think is best.
This is one of the few times I got home and didn’t have to do anything. Fatima was wonderful with asking about smaller areas, and how I would like it, and gave a recommendation if I wasn’t sure.
When I got there, there were some older guys there, and she was cutting their hair very well. I’m a younger guy and she did it great. Overall I am very impressed and I would definitely recommended Fatima to everyone. The price was very reasonable and she was super friendly.

Is anyone else noticing that Unilocal is taking away reviews for no reason? I reviewed this salon and then added a comment a couple of months later. Both were glowing because I really like the service here — why were they removed? Dont’ trust Unilocal if they keep removing reviews arbitrarily.
This salon is great. Nasarin is wonderful and has a way with hair coloring and styling to suit you. I had a wax with Fatima and she was wonderful. Also have used stringing on the eyebrows. She is an artist.
I highly recommend this salon for hair and waxing if you don’t mind a small area with a curtain, they do waxing and threading as well!

I have gone there twice and used both Nasrin and Fatima. I am very happy with both of my haircuts. I would recommend them highly.

Nasrin and Fatima are both so lovely! They are welcoming and create a very positive environment. Nasrin cuts my hair and she does an amazing job every time; much better than some of the $ 90 cuts I’ve paid for… She is definitely reasonable. I only go to her now and couldn’t be happier! We have great conversations too :)

Ladybug is a great salon! Nasrin and Fatima both give amazing haircuts and are very reasonable. i have very curly hair and jsut had brazilian straightening done and they did a fantastic job! Give it a try — promise you’ll be happy — down to earth lovely lovely people!

Absolutely love it! Been going there forever. The owner is an absolutely amazing woman who is so sweet, and awesome at her job. Prices are completely reasonable, and seriously, they do fantastic work.
Go here, seriously, you wont be disappointed.

I love this salon! John is fabulous and I have recommended so many of my brides (I am an event planner & caterer) to come and have their hair done for their wedding parties. He will come out to the venue and
get everyone ready. What a sense of humor he has! He is extremely
reasonable!!!

What a bunch of sweet stylists!!! I’ve gone to this salon numerous times and they are not only friendly, but give great cuts for a very affordable price. I used to come to Sudi (not sure if she is still there), and she was amazing! I hardly go to Marin anymore, so I don’t go here either now, but had a great experience every time!
