Fresh off the heels of a new roof, our house was in need of an exterior paint job. Our experience with this company from start to finish was nothing short of excellent. Mike and Gustavo, in particular, did a marvelous job collaborating with us on decision-​making.
You can be confident in this company. They will work hard to ensure your project is done right. Every meticulous detail is executed at a high level — from communicating with you, to sanding and priming, and laboring over final coats. The whole team is also punctual, clean, and professional. We feel that Bob Kunst Painting can not come more highly recommended.

I had Bob Kunst Painting paint the exterior of my house. The job they did was excellent on every count. John Busick provided a reasonable bid with clear and specific terms. They lived up to every detail of the contract, and more. The prep was excellent, the paint job excellent. The crew was there on time and they were efficient, thorough and courteous. Any problems that arose they took care of. They left everything clean and tidy at the end of each day. Communication with John was easy and always prompt. I couldn’t be happier. It is refreshing to do business with a company like this.

We have worked with Tom on two separate exterior projects over the past several years, one a shingled home in Fairfax and another with stucco and wood siding in Greenbrae. I have to say that we have been very impressed with our experience in both situations.
The projects were very different in nature. The shingles are a completely different animal (cleaned, stained) than the more traditional home. Tom and his crew turned out exceptional work in both situations. Not only is the end product great but Tom is wonderful to work with, communication is very easy, etc. He was patient with us when we took time deciding on colors and his crew is very friendly. Clean up at the end of the project with great as well.
I’m sure there are less expensive options out there but we will continue to use Bob Kunst Painting going forward.

We purchased a mid century modern home in the Marin County area that needed a complete update. When I met with John, he was honest, timely and his attention to detail was impeccable — he gave us great recommendations on do’s and don’ts as it relates to painting wood paneling, beams etc–
He and his crew worked round the clock to meet our deadlines and get us into our house. I had the opportunity to see how he worked with his crew, giving them clear direction. They were at our home every day when they said they would be and completed the job on time and on budget.
I wish every contractor that I worked with had this type of work ethic. We were very impressed with the professionalism of Kunst Painting. They painted the exterior of our home in early November of 2014 and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. John and his crew did an excellent job! John was very responsive, knowledgeable, helpful and quickly responded to e-​mail, texts and voicemail. We were extremely pleased with our recent paint job from Bob Kunst Painting. The quality of the painting was excellent. They did a really nice job of enhancing our deck railings by replacing bad spindles and the cap, sanding, and staining with a wood preservative. The crew always arrived timely, and they were diligent and respectful. John did our estimate and dropped by daily to monitor progress. He was low key, informative, accessible, and easy to deal with. He gave us good advice, worked well with our color specialist, and he delivered. The scope of the work was clear and straight-​forward and they did exactly what they said they would do.

We have owned our home in Terra Linda for five years. We needed the trim painted on our house and the previous paint job was horrible. John came out and gave us a fair quote. The painters were incredible. We have a two story house and they climbed the ladders like it was nothing. It was over 90 degrees but they worked very hard and were finished in two days! If I knew it was this affordable and easy, we would have painted five years ago. I love the fact they are family owned and local. The house looks great and we couldn’t be happier.

Kunst Painting is phenomenal. John came out and gave our business an estimate for repainting our interior lobby area. Their estimate was affordable and in line with the others we received from local companies. He worked with us to schedule a time frame for the painting that would have minimal impact to our business. The crew that came out was professional, pleasant and their clean up job was so awesome you wouldn’t have known they were there, except for the amazingly fresh and clean looking walls! John even made sure that we had our walls done with a special paint so there was almost no odor when we returned to the office the morning after the painting was done. Excellent communication from start to finish. I would recommend Kunst painting to anyone who needs paint work for home or business.

THE most professional company we have ever worked with. The owner Tom, came out to give us an estimate, and he checked on his team doing the painting very day. He responded to all of my e-​mails with questions same day. You get what you pay for and Kunst is worth every dollar we spent. Many of our neighbors who have lived in our area have used them for years. Best of all, our house (three color scheme) looks amazing.

We recently purchased a home and needed some painting. In addition, the previous owner did not have much attention to detail with his painting and with those he hired. John was professional and helpful and gave an honest assessment of the needs of the house. We both noticed patches of mismatched colors and wear. We decided to pain the entire house, including areas that were recently but poorly painted by another company.
Communication was great with daily updates, honest estimates, and a personal visit the morning the project began. Quickly I appreciated their approach to painting. They spent several days just prepping the surfaces carefully. The body was smooth with a great finish, and the trim was bright and crisp. They even made the effort to paint small details like the exposed concrete foundation, the alarm bell box, the external cable and telephone boxes, and the roof fixtures. They also stained and renewed our front and back deck.
We love our «new» house and it really looks as good as they day it was built. I highly recommend Bob Kunst painting for any painting needs.
