I feel like this could be considered a staple in Terra Linda if you’re looking for a casual restaurant with a full bar and specialty beer. It’s menu is extensive ranging from deep dish pizza all the way to low calorie items as well. So if you’re looking for a restaurant and not exactly sure what you’re in the mood for this place is a great stop because there will be something that entices you. Personal favorite; I’m a big fan of the brisket burger. If you do enjoy burgers I recommend this one first(not for the novice eaters). Plus all burgers come with your choice of sides and I usually lean towards the seasoned wedges. Also if you are a beer drinker this place has its own brew house with so many good tasting beers. They also offer the sampler of four beers if you can’t decide. And to top it off the main reason I go there is for the famous Pizookie! This dessert is one of the tastiest treats I have ever gotten to taste and it comes in multiple flavors. All in all this place has a little of everything and I have had good service there as well. I’m a regular so I hope that counts for something!

My wife and I went to BJ’s on a date. They sat us down pretty quick there wasn’t much of wait. We have been to BJ’s many times to have dinner, watch games, have dinner, have dessert always had a good experience. However today was not busy and we sat for about 20 minutes and no one came to ask if we’re ready or offer water. After We waiting for 30min we decided it was time to leave. I told the host what had happened and she didn’t seem to care at all. Didn’t apologized or offered to sit us anywhere different it seemed like they just didn’t care. Which is fine but we will now tell our family and friends about our experienced.

Really nice service… If you don’t mind getting food poisoning. I got so incredibly sick after eating here, and it turns out that I have friends who have as well. 2 stars is because my server was super nice and she took my salad(seared ahi salad) off the bill because I could barely eat it, too much dressing and it was making me sick– I thought maybe the dressing had gluten(I have an allergy), but then I was throwing up all night and I’ve been stuck in bed all day, incredibly sick, definitely not a gluten problem, I got food poisoning. I’m sure it’s a great place to only drink(I don’t drink– just water– no doubt it was the food that made me sick)

Terrible service, we waited over 29 minutes to have our order taken. Meanwhile the waitress was nowhere to be seen. I finally had to ask the manager to have someone take our order. Then we waited about 30 minutes for our order to arrive. The food that arrived was hardly cooked –think raw pasta in chunks of uncooked veggies-. During our waiting time we noticed that the room divider was thick with dust so thick that it had to be a week old. The booth was sticky. The bathroom was messy and had wads oh TP stuck to the wall. We will never go back!

First off, no problem with the waitress. She was stellar. The food??? Sucked. We love the Sweet Pig. Over the years there has been less and less toppings. Tonight, I would say 75% of the pizza dough did not have toppings covering it. We should have sent it back. Going to think twice about going to BJs with better and cheaper pizza options in town.

Great place to watch the Warriors game! The place is pretty big and there are plenty of flat screens to watch sports games. I’ve only been seated in the bar area and the bartender/servers there were all very attentive and friendly! Their cream soda is on tap. It’s sweet but good.

I really like this place a whole heck of. A lot, the other day was my first time at bj’s. They have a very exstensive menu here. I had a hard deciding what I wanted I knew that I pdidn’t want pasta. So… I ordered… A chicken bacon ranch panini. This was a total super yummy yums. I had a great meal and I was there with BJATBJSANDPJWASNOTWEARINGHISPJ’s at BJ’S. How about that… ,

All of the employees I interacted with were very polite and apologetic. However, I will never again order from BJ’s over the phone or through their online system. I set up a group order with the six others in my D&D group. Two could not access the group order at all. One gave me his order in person, the other decided to go elsewhere for dinner. I showed up about 10 minutes before the 6:45 pickup time because I didn’t hit any traffic. The gentleman at the counter told me he was starting to get everything together for me. He went over my order and everything was right on his screen, and I paid. Apparently, the pizza one of us ordered didn’t make to the kitchen staff, so they started to make it once they got everything else together. So, they cooked the pizza a little after I was scheduled to pick everything up. Again, the guy behind the counter was very apologetic. Finally, just a bit before 7:30, the pizza is finished and I get help carrying out the order to my car. I get back to my place and start passing out food. An appetizer didn’t make it from the online order form to the actual order(so, I wasn’t charged for it at least). Two of the burgers came without their sides(an order of fries and an order of clam chowder). One of the burgers was missing a topping that was requested. One of the burgers had a topping that was removed. The pizza that was made(after it was forgotten about), was completely backwards(it had no meats and was covered with tomatoes). The drinks and dessert were fine and tasty like usual. I called, and was offered a refund for the incorrect items or for the food to be remade. I took the refund since we were already running an hour late. The manager was very apologetic at least. I’ve done the dine-in here has been really solid, but the online ordering is a complete mess and I will never do that again for any BJ’s, nor will I trust ordering on the phone.

Okay so I visit BJ’s from time to time because I think the food is decent but I have to be honest I have stop coming a lot less for a while because the service it’s not the greatest. I like the food but unlike the service I have always found that it always needs improvements. Maybe the waiters are just to young and don’t have the experience at all and also are not quite trained on customer service. I seen some that work really hard and tried and others like the waiter I had tonight that was just hanging around in the back talking while I waited for my refill to show up at my table. I decided not to remind him because I want it to know how long it will take him to either bring it to me or not. I assume he forgotten about my refill but fifteen minutes after I had asked for the drink and while l was having my dinner he brought me my drink! Oh well at least I got my refill, … right? I’m going to assumed that maybe he was having a bad day. However I am given it a three stars review because of the food was actually good and the rib-eye steak was cooked to perfection. The food surprisingly came out faster than what I’m used to.

They have more beer options to drink, than vegan options to eat. I used to come here before I went vegan, and their food was, OK. Their service was pretty stale, and would leave me with a bad taste afterwords when it came to their server’s. However, I still come back. Now it’s just for their bar. The bar staff is really nice and they have a fun atmosphere to watch the warrior playoff games. I’ll keep enjoying their bar staff and brews. Their hosts are nice too, they always greet promptly when I swing by.

Awful. 1. I had scheduled an order pick up for 715 and didn’t get my order until 730 – 740 2. My avocado rolls didn’t come with the sauce WHICHISTHEREASONWHY I EVENORDEREDTHEM 3. I didn’t get a spoon with my soup. Overall quite irritated. **update. I do appreciate the managers quick response and taking care of us.

Lunch here was decent, the food was OK– nothing special, I had the chicken lettuce cups and the fried artichokes with lemon Aoli. Probably too much considering it was my birthday and we got a pazookie. The pazookies are BOMB! The service was fine, we sat at a booth in the bar area. Not much more to say… if I come back in the future I will maybe have more to say.

Can anyone tell me why a long, sexy scrap of plastic is lingering in my dish, threatening to choke me? Call me crazy but I believe this implies the«chef» takes a frozen sauce packet, dips it in boiling water, allowing Phthalates to leach into the sauce that was made years ago, and then they just drowned my entire entrée in it, topping it off with the remainder top piece of plastic sauce satchel. How charming… All in all, the service was fast and amazing as always(those kids work hard!) however the food was a little overpriced considering I ate something from a frozen bag.

Not sure why the low reviews by others but I have eaten here a dozen times and have always found the service prompt, the food excellent and the ambiance inviting. My server, Sam, was excellent and all the food perfect.

We just finished a hike at Mt. Tam and really wanted pizza and beer. We decided to go to BJ’s as it has been quite awhile since we’ve been to any other location. We got our usual deep dish… half great white/half BJ’s combo, side caesar salad, and wings. This is the first location that dunked their wings in buffalo sauce rather than serving it on the side. The pizza was served on our table without the elevated pizza arm thing. The person who brought it to us did a double take, didn’t care, and left it there anyway. Our server eventually saw this and brought one over. Quality-wise…everything else was consistent with other locations. The beer hit the spot and no one should leave without a pizookie. Pumpkin was recommended so we went with it. Nothing beats the white chocolate but it was still delicious. The service was slow but I could tell that our guy was really working his butt off. 3 stars.

I know they are most known for the beer and pizza but don’t shy away from the burgers. We got the bacon guacamole and the crispy jalapeño burgers and both had some good flavor with quite the bite of spice! We both got the thick fries. Those were about a 6 out of 10. I felt like they were a little stale but I am very french fry sensitive :-) To be honest the very best thing on the menu is their Rootbeer. I love their rootbeer! Just know that it WILL fill you up! But it is so very very yummy. The staff was fantastic. Very cordial and engaging. Is this restaurant my fav? No but it is not the worst. I actually prefer them for lunch actually. Two fingers of whiskey cost you about as much as your lunch. Overall an okay back up restaurant for if you cannot think of somewhere else to go and you are over by the Mall.

One can always start a circuitous argument about the following: What is a better restaurant — one that is family-run and has been around forever, or someplace that is quite obvious a chain? As with pretty much everything else, there is no simple answer. Fittingly enough, on consecutive nights we experienced both. And while our sample was in no way definitive, it did highlight why certain classic family-style joints might be in trouble, whereas a well-run if somewhat soulless corporate chain can do well. The restaurant we went to the night before has been around since 1973, but in many ways seems to have not advanced past 1987 — no new items on the menu, no website or any acknowledgements that the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama era has ever taken place. On the other hand, you can tell that BJ’s really keeps on top of everything — the menu reflects the range of tastes that its guests demand, one can bring in a coupon via smartphone, televisions are attuned to a healthy variety of sporting events. And, possibly most importantly, the staff is fresh and invigorating — I don’t think we ever had to wait more than a couple of minutes. And our food — words can not describe how tasty my New Orleans Jambalaya was, but it went down easily and made my belly nice and content, accompanied by a nice, smooth Piranha Ale. And for dessert, the Salted Caramel Pizookie ensured that I wouldn’t be needing any food for the next twenty hours. Although we were there for nearly ninety minutes, the joint was efficient enough to make it feel like nine — yes, I know that not all chain restaurants are like this, I know that the food isn’t necessarily the best for you, and probably somewhere there is a man being shortchanged on his bean profit. But damn it, BJ’s makes for a very tasty and comfortable experience without being too expensive.

In San Rafael for the weekend, we stopped by BJ’s on a Saturday night, not knowing what to expect. Even though we were early, and there were no big games, it was pretty packed. Unilocal says the noise level is «average» — true, if average is a dull roar. It was definitely loud in there. BJ’s seems to be a cross between a sports bar and a family restaurant, and judging by the quite varied demographics eating here, they are pulling it off. Big-screen TVs line both walls the length of the restaurant, not just above the bar. This actually is kinda cool: I liked checking out the A’s game at points during dinner. So even though we are not typical sports bar people, other than the noise, it wasn’t a bad experience. The true surprise was the food: it was both reasonable and quite good. They actually had one of my favorite meals, clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, and they pulled it off. The chowder was excellent and the bread was freshly delicious. My wife had Mediterranean tacos, and thought they were quite good aside from the cilantro. My clam chowder bowl was $ 9 and the Mediterranean tacos were $ 9.50. A super value at that price for the quality. Quiet, intimate dining, this isn’t. But good food at a reasonable price, and being able to watch a few games as a bonus — it works!

Really great service from Josh. Had a great meal there. Even when something went wrong… the salad was not 100% and they took it back no problem and got a replacement meal really fast. The manager even came over to apologize. They have a ton of TV’s for watching sports which I loved.
