Waited at door for five minutes before someone came to ask the group in front of us if they’d like to be seated, which I thought was off because there were so many open tables that were already cleared. The hostess couldn’t be bothered to crack a smile even though I had asked, «how are you?» She just said hi, two? Ok, well maybe she’s in a bad mood, whatever. Immediately after sitting down, our server came to take our drink order and asked if we need another minute to look at the menu. I said yes since we hadn’t even opened it yet. He came back with our drinks literally a minute later and asked if we needed another minute. I said yes, please. He got the table next to us a coffee and turned around and said, another minute? This has all happened in a three minute span, so I said fine, and ordered whatever it was that I was looking at in that moment because I felt so rushed. Oh, and since were seated so close to the entrance, I was able to watch the hostess be equally as unpleasant with the next few groups waiting to be seated. I get that it was a Sunday morning, but if your service staff can’t handle the rush without being rude or able to properly manage multiple tables, they should be replaced.

I came here on the International Pancake Day, and scored some really good(and free!) buttermilk pancakes. IHOP has good classic stuff for all that a chain restaurant can offer, and I was pretty happy after ordering an omelette and those free pancakes.

This IHOP location has a very quiet and relaxing environment. I have never been here where more than 30% of the available table space was in use. The food is pretty much what you would expect coming from an IHOP and does not seem to deviate much from the corporate menu. Service is decent for what it is worth. My only complaint is that its pretty pricey to get a large breakfast. I usually do not mind paying, however, since their selection is amazing and the food is pretty tasty.

For a late night supper this Ihop was really nice. It was clean, service was great, food was better than the photographs in the menu, and I could stay on my diet!

Went here this afternoon to celebrate Natl’ Pancake Day. Parking lot was unusually full. Ordered the free short stack of original pancakes, which was the only option. Also got the coffee which wasn’t very strong. Waiter forgot my class of water and tried to get rid of me b/c it was crazy busy and he wanted to be sure my booth for two, would be ready for any customers needing it. Wi-Fi was slow. In the end my bill came out to be $ 0.00. Left a tip for $ 5 as I was very pleased with this. Pancakes were good. Will do this again next year :-)

IHOP is a funny American business and establishment. It’s found all over the US. It’s like Denny’s. I like IHOP and I would eat at IHOP a lot if I felt like that would be good for my health. but it’s not. My mom wanted to take us out for breakfast on Christmas morning. A lot of places near Foster City were closed. We were going to Heidi’s Pies, but my nephew didn’t want to, so we ended up at this IHOP which is very close to my sister’s house. I got the ham and egg melt sandwich and shared it and some 3 pancakes with my nephew. I had an orange juice(no refills). I liked the look of everybody’s plates. I like the menu. There’s a lot of variety. The quality is good at IHOP. That’s why it’s successful.

I came here on Christmas Day and I was disappointed. I came here for brunch and I do not like their hash browns. I asked if I could substitute the hash browns for toast but he told me no. I’m not sure if this is company policy but they need to change it. I told him, «I am not a fan of the hash browns and I prefer if I have toast.» He said, «Well how about mash potatoes, corn, or fruit, because it already comes with pancakes.» I’m a little confused at their policy, when they have the word, «SIDES», it can usually mean SUBSTITUTION. Bah humbug! I usually do not come to iHop unless there isn’t anything else open. Usually I get rude service. The waiter’s tone of voice level was very defensive. I’m not sure if he or the IHOP organization understand when you display the sides, it could mean substitution, otherwise they could make a disclaimer that they CANNOTSUBSTITUTETHEHASHBROWNS. Otherwise they have no such policy. Their food is just average. I prefer Nina’s anyway.

I want to give a big thank you to this IHOP for accommodating a last minute party of 25 last night after a huge screw up care of the Mimi’s Café at Bridgepointe. Don’t ever go there! I know IHOP might not be the go-to for a big celebratory dinner, but the staff and service last night took care of the entire party last night! Who doesn’t love a Smiley Face Pancake? Thanks, IHOP. You’ve always got my back.

The food was decent, nothing spectacular just like any ordinary chain. I ordered the spinach omelette and at first I was highly disappointed because it was swimming in hollandaise sauce and cheese. I love extra fatty food like the next red blooded American but I kinda like to taste the egg and vegetables too. I sent it back, and asked for another without cheese and sauce and damn what a difference! The omelette was pretty good on its own. I also had a side of chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes and it was more cake than pan. The texture was too thick and dry. Syrup was being absorbed but still too thick and dry. I couldn’t do it. I went ahead and ate all of my wife’s Nutella crepes. Crepes were made perfect and the banana and Nutella added justice. 2 stars for the food, and the extra star is for the server who had to put up with my picky antics. Dude was patient and kind.

IFANYONEATIHOPISREADINGTHIS: You have a large latino girl with heavy eye makeup as your«hostess»(at least on the Sunday morning we went… Aug 9th) that REALLY needs to be trained on Customer Service. Having a bad attitude is not customer service. Rolling your eyes because we wanted a different table is not customer service. Throwing every customer’s menu on the table and turning your back and walking away is not customer service. I watched this young«lady» approached and seat at least a dozen customers without ONCE cracking a smile. It’s ok to hate your job but leave that at home… if you are everyone’s first impression when they walk through the door, don’t make them feel like they’re putting you out to seat you. Yes…the food was also crappy… hey, it’s IHOP after all… but when the waitress asks if everything is ok and you say«no»…having the waitress then walk away without asking why it wasn’t or saying anything else is why you get 1 star… and no tip. Since we’re never EVER going back, IHOP management can disregard this review like they apparently have pretty much every other bad one below/above as well. Way to go IHOP… thank God there’s only a million other places to get breakfast on the peninsula.

Just left here, food and service was AMAZING! The food took a little long though. About 15−20min. But they do give a military discount AND they did take off our iced coffee because it wasn’t good. I definitely recommended the chicken fajita omelette as well as the splash berry bottomless beverage. I would come here again!

‘Come here empty stomach on any morning– eat and forget food for rest of the day’ is my definition for iHop. I have quite a limited choice here as I am vegetarian– I typically have waffles with strawberry and blueberry, coffee/juice/grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate pancakes. Nice restaurant. Good(and heavy) food– weight watchers will have a hard time in here.

May 25th2015 To how may this concern: This day was the worst service ever for me and my family. All started from the greater to the beginning of ordering. My family decides to go to IHOP to eat breakfast all together and that does not happen often so we where in a good mood. While my family park I got out of the car and walk to the restaurant to put our name in the list because it was Memorial Day so we knew we had to wait. Well I came in and I waited until the lady finish the previews customer. She call me and I say my family was 5 and a baby. As soon as I say that she said in a very bad tone«WELL is going to be 25 to 30 minutes» that’s it! Well that change my mood. Maybe IHOP should teach the staff of how to talk to guess. I work with customer service and I would had said«Hello we currently have a wait time for 25 to 30 minutes due to Memorial Day would you like to wait?» I think that sound much better. My impression on the way she said well is that she did not wanted us. That’s literally how I felt she did not even ask anything after that phase I ask her if she can please put my name in the list. After that I was already upset but my family had not see it so I did not say nothing. This is a family breakfast that does not happen often. After more that 30 minutes we saw people coming after us going in. My family was upset so my brother went to ask what happen and they explain that they were trying to get a table big enough for us. I started to walk with my baby to see if I see a table. I notice a table to the right of the restaurant that was available but I notice it will fit us but all tight. I waited they told us 10 more minutes well that because more than ten so I walk again looking for a place and I found a big table on the back so I ask the lady is that table for us. She ask are you the party of 13 people and I say no I have 6 and I point to our name. At that time another lady came and ask who was next so I answer me. They look at each other and then said ok put them on this table number. We all walk to the table and to my surprise we end up on the table that was free 20 minute ago. The one that was all tight. Omg. My family was upset. The. We notice that table right next to it open up and they were two tables to can put together and we could fit better. So we ask a guy that was picking up things. Can we have that table? He say yes so he run to get a tray for dirty dishes and ask a coworker to help him clean the table. That’s was great service we where so happy. Well that did not last long. We waited and waited and notice other people after U.S. Got there drinks and got there order in. A waiter will pass us and pass us well that waiter was ours but he did not show up so at this point my family was very upset and to be honest out breakfast was ruin. Food can be good but if customer service is not good everything goes bad. Ok my brother did signs to the waiter and ask him can we please at lest get drinks. The waiter answer was«that’s why I am here» ok we ask him why is that other people got serve faster. His answer was very dry«you where on the other table» that’s it. What does that mean. That makes us believe he was mad because we move and he did not wanted to serve us. Well we started to give him drink order and he told us one at the time otherwise you confuse me. Omg ok. Then we ask gave him the order of food and before he left he grave the menus and pull them so hard from our hand that he cut my mom. We ask for the manager because that was so upsetting. The manager came we explain him and ask him if he can change our waiter and we told him he cut my mom. He apologies and left. We notice that THEMANAGER went to the kitchen and started to cook so now we were wondering if we really talk to the manager our what?. The same waiter came to give us the drink and we could not believe it. That’s like telling us I do not care if you ask for other waiter. Later another waiter came and he was super nice to us so we had better experience but the breakfast was ruin by the experience. The manager name was Efren(suppose manager we do not know) and the waiter that gave us bad service was Alvaro. Now we do not want to go to any IHOP at all. IHOP needs to get better customer service and have a manager that in holidays is outside in the floor instead that the kitchen. IHOPE is famous but I guess is not getting good money to do so.

Went in for a late breakfast on Easter Sunday. Waited only less than 10 minutes as it was not that crowded, especially on a such a day. Walking over to our booth I noticed that there was litter all over the floors and yet the cleaning staff didn’t do anything about it. Ordered our food and asked for water and coffee. Kept asking waitress for it and she would say that it’s coming. Our food came and had no silverware yet, I flagged the manager for them as he was nearby, and brought it by; we told him we were still waiting for our drinks. Waitress asked if we were good and reminded her that we were still waiting for our drinks. Didn’t see a reason why she would not bring us our drinks. The booth next door had theirs before us and we got there first. Not going to this particular branch ever again.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon. Not to many people. Food was okay. The service was fast and our waiter was really nice. The restaurant tho had a weird old smell to me. I didn’t really enjoy the smell.

The eggs were cold on a slow afternoon. The service was über slow. The pancakes with warm syrup were decent. My friend had the egg frittata sandwich that was pretty good. Overall it’s hit or miss.

lazy late-morning lolling… breakfast in mind… ihop literally seen ahead… taking the $ 6.99 endless pancakes special…2 bacon strips, scrambled eggs and hash browns… starting with 2 fluffy pancakes… requesting butter and pouring on the sweet maple syrup… fairly standard breakfast… thin bacon… eggs scrambled bit hard… average hash browns… nothing really standing out… just taking the 2 pancakes and unable to take seconds… crepes are fine too… location is clean and food is cheap…

This is my spot whenever I’m craving breakfast. Which is pretty much all the time. I go there because they are open late. And even though they are a chain restaurant, their employees are respectful and accommodating. Each time I go there, I ask for Ozzie to be my server. He pretty much knows exactly how I like my food and I don’t even have to explain about how I like my eggs. That should give you some idea of how many times I’ve been here over the years. 50(Fifty) times is a conservative number. Yes. There ARE other Mama & Papa shops around in the area; but they aren’t open late when I get ferocious breakfast cravings. In those times, IHOP has saved me and fulfilled my cravings. Trust me. Breakfast food(to me) is like what Haagen Daas’ Dulce De Leche ice cream is to women. Any woman reading this would know exactly what I’m talking about. ;-)
