Mila is absolutely amazing for all kinds of hair services. I go to her every six weeks for a cut and then every couple of months for color and a Brazilian blowout. Mila has never steered me wrong with products or services and I always walk out of the salon feeling gorgeous. She’s a color wizard and is great with helping me go darker in the winter and lighter in the summer without damaging my hair. I was not a believer in Brazilian blowouts before I got one from her. Now my hair is wash and go where before I usually had to blow dry to make it look presentable. She also has online booking, it can’t get anymore convenient than that!

I have tried many hair stylists before, and Asian hair can be a little harder to handle. Mila came out as a winner! She not only can cut and layer my hair to suit my age and the shape of my face, and the color she uses on my hair is unbelievable. The highlights she used to accent my brown hair is amazingly well blended. Everywhere I go, people stop and compliment my hair!

I was recommended to Mila by my friend. My friend had nothing but good things to say about her after she highlighted her hair. I have always been afraid to go to new places as I’ve endured a lot of bad haircuts in my day. Nonetheless, I went to salon sur la rue for Mila. What a great experience! The salon is comfortable and clean and they offer drinks while you are there. The best part is that it is very close to where I live with plenty of parking in front. I told her that I wanted layers and to cut a few inches off but to still keep a good length. The very first cut she made, she showed me the amount to see if that was good. I was shocked. I have never had someone check before proceeding. She really cares about how you feel and what makes a client comfortable. She is very personable as well making the time fly. After all was said and done, I ended up with one of the best haircuts ever. She is awesome and I would recommend anyone to go to Mila. In fact, I have another appointment soon for ombré with her. Can’t wait!

I’ve had the same hair stylist for over 15 years, I’m as picky as a female can get. My friend recommended Mila to me because I was looking for a salon closer to my work. I just needed a change, I wanted to do highlights again, I was sick of going to SF and looking for parking. Mila is so personable and awesome. She LISTENS! She’s a woman herself so she knows how important it is for us to have the right look that we want. She did awesome partial highlights for me, I’ve already gone back for an incredible long layered haircut (she did exactly what I wanted) and now I’m referring people to her as well and they all love her equally. I’m so glad I found her, thank you, Mila!

Mila has been my hair stylist for 13 years ever since she cut off my waist length hippie hair. I have seen Mila every 6 weeks since then and have gone through various styles. I am now enjoying a cute blonde short cut.
Mila does beautiful color and a great cut. A couple of months ago I asked her to give me an unusual cut that I had seen in a book. She advised me against it because it would not work with the shape of my face. GOOD ADVICE! Instead she gave me a moderately short cut that looks really great.
So, after 13 years, I am still very happy with how she does my hair. I get many compliments on the color and cut. People say the color matches my skin tone really well.

Mila was recommended to me by a friend over 3 years ago. She is just great — she listens to the voice of the customer, follows other colorists’ recipes and then adds her own input. I’m one of those people who has never liked the way a stylist dries my hair, but with Mila I always try to have my hair cut and colored before a special evening event just because I know she’ll make me look perfect!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Mila for 9 years now, ever since we moved to San Carlos. I followed her to Salon Sur La Rue when she left her old gig in Belmont.
I’m a guy who likes short hair because otherwise I’d be sporting an afro. Mila manages to make it a nice clean cut, working around the cowlicks and the other assorted difficulties with my curly hair. It’s a damn good haircut for $ 25.
