This is my new favorite place!
Ever since having to use a power chair it’s been really difficult to find a good hair salon.
I found this place through a friend. I had been passed it a few times before and didn’t think much of it, because I thought it was the place geared more for older people, boy was I mistaken!
Betty is amazing! I have not had such a good haircut in so long! She listened to exactly what I wanted, and continues to provide awesome service ever since! I go there for everything now!
The hair washing bowls are accessible, and so are the hair dryers. The place is easy for me to navigate in a wheelchair and the place is always super clean.
The prices are extremely reasonable, and the most important part is that their customer service is awesome!
Definitely a diamond in the rough!

I have been here twice now and both times Lyn did an outstanding job ‘fixing’ my hair. She has tons of experience, knows exactly what she’s doing, and did a superb job getting rid of my outgrow without a trace it was there.
She gives an amazing head massage while we wait for the conditioner to soak in. I also like that they offer you water, tea, coffee, hot soup or a soda.
The salon isn’t very modern, but that doesn’t bother me because they have wonderful professional hairdressers and their prices are very reasonable!!!
What I also like about this place is they sent me a questionnaire after my first visit with a coupon to use the next time. I also got a referral coupon after sending my husband there, so I had a really cheap second cut & color!
If you are looking for another place to try out, go to Don’s Hairsalon. You won’t be disappointed!

Similar to my previous Unilocalers, I came across Don’s Salon after being referred by a family member. Laura & Betty are always super sweet, inviting and as accommodating as they can be as far as getting you in ASAP.
LAURA is nothing short of extremely talented and fabulous! She knows exactly what you want and is worth triple the amount she charges ($ 35 for a cut). Laura is extremely thorough, sociable and simply an amazing stylist. She takes her time to understand your ideas/​concerns and LISTENS to what you want out of your hair cut. To top it all off, she does a killer head massage during your wash.
Give LAURA a call and set up an appointment! I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Love Don’s Salon! Was referred by a friend a few years ago. What I love about Lyn is, if you want to gab for an hour she is up for that but if you want to just sit quietly, she is good with that too. You never feel uncomfortable with her. She takes her time and the cost is really reasonable. I’ve also had my hair done by Betty and she is also marvelous. The owners and employees work hard to make you feel welcome and appreciated… not like they are doing you a favor! Thanks Lyn for making me look and feel fabulous, you are the best!

I was referred to this place by a friend. I had been going to cheap hair cut places and my hair was starting to look like it.
Dons owner, who is not named Don, is very friendly and very accommodating! I dont normally have time to make appointments to far in advance, and she is always friendly on the phone and always manage to get me in, in a timely manner.
So far only Betty has cut my hair, she is also very friendly and I enjoy talking to her while she cuts my hair. She also does a VERY good job, usually with the cheap haircuts my hair would look really good when it got cut then grow out horribly, or look horrible when cut and grow out looking better. With Betty my hair always looks good! They are reasonably priced for the service you get.

This hair salon is a little jewel tucked away on 41st. The staff is incredibly friendly. The timing on getting your hair done is efficent. Only one person will be working on your hair instead of the other type salons where you wait forever for multiple people to wash, color, and style. The staff also massages your head when they put in your hair conditioner.

This place is great! I get my hair cut very short and am very particular about the fade from the sides to the top. The first cut took a while, as they went slow and I kept directing them to this and that. Now they got it and it’s a zip-​zip-​done affair.
Only thing, it’s a good idea to make an appointment. They are very friendly and happily take walk-in’s, but they do fill up fast sometimes.
Price is pretty fair too. No kidding, five stars!
