Two words. CALIFORNIA. FRIES. You have to try them!!! Make sure you tip well here or you will not get good service, I’ve learned from experience. Their flautas are okay too. Definitely not real Mexican though. Again, California fries are the way to go.

I had Carne asada. Meat was flavored, thin and tough. Biggest let down and the reason I will not return was my car was towed from the parking right beside this business which I thought was theirs. There was an obscure sign that was partially blocked by a food truck. The food was not worth the trauma. .girl at counter apologized for not letting us know but that was after RiosTowing stole my car out of the parking lot. What a rude company. The whole experience was too traumatic to return.

When they first opened, I would order the gyro’s for my husband. They were exactly as they were made in Austin off of Oltorf. Recently, I phoned and advised that they do not sell Gyro’s and when I asked if she was sure. she said it’s not on their computer.. Gyro’s is listed both on the menu on the wall of the restaurant and on the paper menu’s. Well, figured the employee must have been new so I tried again a few weeks ago, this time, I was asked if I wanted the gyro on a torta or a tortilla? I responded that I wanted it on a Pita bread, he replied that he had it available on a torta. Well, I erroneously figured he didn’t know what a torta was. He did. The Gyro came on a torta but was not a gryo. It was not make with tzaziki sauce but some red sauce on a big torta. Husband said it was very bland. I did see the cook cooking the«gyro» on a torta, so I approached the employee and showed him the menu and pointed out exactly what I was ordering and he assured me that it was what I was going to get. So, it’s my hope that the owners will either take the item off the menu or re-train the employees. I drove from Wimberley to San Marcos to purchase the gyro’s for my husband. To drive all that way from wimberely to San Marcos to have something that is not what I ordered, wanted or as reflected on the menu. It was beyond disappointing!

This place is within walking distance from where I work. I love their combo lunch plates and they’re inexpensive. They have some of the best fish tacos that I have ever tried. Their food has always been served nice and hot, right off of the grill. I’m not a huge fan of their rice and beans but not a deal breaker for me. I recommend it.

Messed up the order and instead of fixing it to the super burrito that I ordered they put the smaller breakfast taco into a bigger tortilla. Regular customer here and this doesn’t sit well.

I’ve been here twice. After the first time I wouldn’t have come back because it was so underwhelming. Since it was a newer place I decided to give it another try. It’s edible food in a clean place. Other than that it’s very bland. There are much better mexican spots and much better burritos. Prices are not great either. Sadly, the namesake burrito was on par with a frozen burrito cooked in your oven at home. They do advertise $ 2 draft beer. I would have rated 2 stars, but chose 1 star to bring the rating down to a more realistic area. I hope they can find a way to step up their game.

Prices are cheap & the cali-mex style is definitely refreshing ! I was very wary at first when seeing the restaurant, but I’m so glad I ended up choosing to eat here. Their shredded beef is on point

Our regular lunch place in town was closed on Wednesday so we decided to try this place. Wow. Love it. Spend most of my adult life in Southern California.(Oceanside, Semper Fi) and was surprised to find out they have the California burrito like Colima’s in Oceanside. It’s called the San Diego but the same. They do breakfast also. Maybe next time.

This mom and pop restaurant has to have the most delicious carne asada burritos I have ever tasted. They don’t skimp on quality ingredients and the quantity of meat in their food. Plus, they are cheap! It’s the best of all worlds! My favorite is their Texas Burrito which has carne asada, potatoes, cheese, pico de gallo, and guacamole in a chipotle tortilla. Are you drooling yet?

It may not look like much at first glance, but don’t judge until you’ve tried their food. I ordered the taco combo which includes 3 tacos, rice, beans and a drink for $ 7.49+tax. My girlfriend accompanied me and she ordered the enchilada combo with 2 cheese and 1 beef enchilada, it also came with the same sides as mine for the same price. Roughly 10 minutes after placing our order, our food was ready and handed to us. The barbacoa taco was spot on, not too greasy but not too dry. The 2 carne asada tacos were perfect as well.(On a side note, I added a lot of their red salsa to my tacos, so it could’ve been more dry than I thought before adding the salsa). The rice is a little bland but I usually prefer my rice to be very seasoned so that’s just a personal preference. The retried beans are pretty good, stock, but nothing to complain or rave about. My girlfriends enchiladas were great as well. The enchilada sauce seems very tomato based, which adds a really unique flavor, but she and I both enjoyed it. Overall this place will become a new regular for us. We both preferred this over Garcias, Los Cucos, and obviously over any other fast food Mexican place.
