Love that we can bring our dogs with us! The burgers are amazing, as are the wickles. So far we have never had bad service here, everyone is really friendly.

Two people splitting a starter, a classic cheeseburger with onion rings, and dessert. Five great drinks at eight a pop meant $ 56 before tip. Seated ourselves and the water dude tended to us right away. The waitress didn’t seem thrilled to start but warmed up to us eventually and was reliably attentive the entire meal through running my credit card. The street tacos come as a platter of three on corn tortillas with tiny lime wedges and a little shredded onion et cetera on the side(all of which we used). These were *delicious* and I would happily order it as an entrée. I’d mentioned we’d be splitting the burger but was very happily surprised to see it brought out, halved on two plates and with a viable serving of onion rings by each. That was unexpected and appreciated. I really like their onion rings b/c they’re thin and fairly non-greasy. I loved the burger bun – kind of reminded me of Fuddrucker’s – the tomato, decent patty. All around a good simple burger. The blueberry crisp was a little deconstructed: three little scoops of good vanilla ice cream in a line punctuated by halves of crisp ultra thin oatmeal cookies and sprinkled with fat blueberries. Visually interesting and very yummy. Both my bourbon smashes were strong. Mr. R raved about his three pink mojitos and I had to drive us home because his drinks were full measure too. For coming in saying we weren’t too hungry, we sure ended up having a great meal.

Great experience here. The staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome immediately. I ordered the Smokin Sandy w avocado and it was quite tasty. Love the décor and open concept. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for good bar food and fun atmosphere.

Nice place to relax after a day at the river. All the food has been great. I usually go for the chili cheese burger with sweet potato fries and a side of wickles.(Battered and fried bread and butter pickles, it works. Everytime a train goes by its half price beer time. They have a pool table inside and corn hole, washers and a few other outdoor sports outside.

Came out with my family for lunch and a few drinks. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the classic burger with onion rings. Very very good, the meat was cooked perfect and the bread… That bread made the sandwich. They have a few games around, so we hung out for a few hours playing pool and horseshoe. It is pet friendly so a few pups were hanging out. And if a train passes you get happy hour prices.

Still spraying cleaner on the tables with cleaner floating on to our table, our food, and drinks. Tacky. Aside from that food, Long Island & fit was good minus the cleaner.

Ok. I really like this place. I’m hooked on the wickles. They are seriously addictive. I also like that it’s dog friendly and the outdoor seating. We have been here several times and have taken our friends to enjoy a few beers, play a few games and have a bite or two. One person loved his burger, the other person didn’t care for his. So your mileage may vary. I always get the veggie quesadillas and they are yummy!

Good place to head to after a day on the river. But probably is good for a porch drinking day too! What I loved about this place: activities. Hammock, pool tables, ping pong and more! What could have been better: the food. Small menu with mostly fried fattening foods. Which if you’re going for the bar type crowd, jackpot. We had the frito pie burger but I didn’t eat much it was a bit too much for me. However, the queso was great!!!

Great food — try the wickles! Plenty of parking and great outdoor area w/fans. Cold beer on type, and one of the only areas in town that serve my favorite — pickle shots! Outdoor patio, and don’t mind the train — it just means a drink special!

Great place to eat, food was nice and simple!!! Nothing complicated easy to choose from the menu, good food selection, good flavor specially the burgers and wings. My wife ask for advice on what to order to drink and our waitress made suggestions immediately I will definitely come back!!!

I’ve been here multiple times and have only received good service once. I’ve had a bartender tell me to leave early since we were 1 of 2 tables left(at 9 pm), I’ve had a waitress roll her eyes at me, I’ve been ignored, and I’ve been handed someone else’s credit card more than once. Most of the time the food is cold or stale, but the only good thing I’ve had is the burgers, but it’s overpriced for the quality.

Okay spot for cheap food and great happy hour drink specials($ 2.00 house margaritas). Our party ordered the spicy shrimp tacos, quesadillas, box car trio, and the Smokin Sandy. The portions were small, but the food was decent. I really liked the fun laid back atmosphere and the service was fast.

This is the third time I’ve been to railyard. The first 2 times the service has not been good, the severs did not pay attention to our table and the drinks were not good. The third time I was here, when I first ordered a drink the bartender rolled her eyes at me. Also with in that night she closed our tab 2 times because it was obvious she just wanted to get out early. I have given this place a chance and will not be returning.

I came here a couple months back and absolutely loved it. Not only was the food amazing, the atmosphere was upbeat and a fun place to be at. The mojitos were not a let down. I definitely enjoyed this place, I’d go back again.

Many of my friends really enjoy this place but this was my first time here. I really enjoyed it! We grabbed a table in the back which was outside and the weather was fantastic. I really liked the outdoor area, there was lots of room, people had their dogs just hanging out and there were even ping pong tables to play at. We started with drinks and appetizers and were right on time for happy hour which was $ 1 of apps and $.50 off draft beers. One thing I did like was that not only did they have Stella Artois but they had a Stella Cider, which I had never tried before but ending up really liking! We also did the chips and queso, I loooove their poblano queso! It was flavorful and creamy. For dinner I ordered the De-Railed burger, which is a burger with their queso, fried jalapeños, jack cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was to die for!!! I also got the Parmesan fries to go with it and they were the cats meow! Overall food was delicious, good variety of drinks and decent prices. I’ll be going back!

Good service at the bar. Another decent looking bar and grill with sub par food. The bacon wrap shrimp was okay but jeez the box car trio was terrible. If you are going to advertise guacamole as being«fresh made» then do just that. I could not believe they were able to serve me brown Gauc without a blink. Come on its not that hard.

The patio is dog friendly and the food is decent. It’s a nice break from the party kid scene that’s at all of the other bars in San Marcos. The people who come here are a bit older and looking to socialize rather than get lit and bring someone home. The food is pretty good. I wouldn’t say it’s wonderful and will knock your socks off but it’s good. The drink specials are pretty good but the best part is the staff. They’re so cool and nice. The bartenders have always struck up a conversation with me along with the other waiters.
