Electric Empire Tattoo & Piercing

This is a VERY no frills place. The entrance space leaves much to be desired, but I guessed that that’s why this place is inexpensive. Also, contrary to Unilocal,this is a cash only place. No cards.
Theo, the tattoo artist, was really cool and nice! As a person, and even as a professional, he was very personable. However, my tattoo didn’t come out symmetrical. Lines weren’t straight, and the image looked slightly different on one side compared to the other. I came in with the tattoo, printed out (so perfectly straight and symmetrical), they made a trace; it was VERY simple. They put on a stencil and everything, but for some reason it didn’t come out perfect. Given that all he needed to do was trace and fill on a simple area of the body (back of neck/​back), I found this unacceptable.
Theo has no problem touching up tattoos for free, but given that he didn’t get this simple thing right the first time, I don’t have any confidence that he can fix it a second time. I’ll be going somewhere else to hopefully have my tattoo evened out without leading to too much distortion of the original image.
I suggest going somewhere else EVEN for a simple tattoo, unfortunately. I thought mine was too simple to mess up for an experienced artist. I was wrong.
However, if you ARE interested in a friendly person, talented illustrator (maybe not tattoo-​er), and are strapped for cash (this cost $ 40.00), Theo would be a decent place to try your luck. I can’t in good conscience give anything above 1 star because this was simply too easy to have received anything less than perfection. Had I known this was how it would look, I would not have gotten this tattoo. I would have kept my skin bare.

First of all, the guys working there are really friendly. I walked in for a consultation with only $ 25 in my pocket and they did my tattoo for me on the spot, but their base price is $ 50 which is really nice considering the quality of their work. The work Theo does is really great and he’s really personable. As soon as I can afford another tattoo I’m heading back there. I’ve had my tattoo for about a year now and it still looks beautiful and I still love it as much as the day I got it.

I got a tattoo done from Theo last night and it was awesome! He is very friendly and has fair prices. This was the first place I walked into and I would not recommend anyone else. Customer service blew me away. I expected him to be cocky but he was very nice. This guy goes above and beyond! He is a Vet so I would definitely recommend him to all my military friends.
