I went in to order and the counter woman was very nice, and helpful. However, her manager kept cutting her off and harassing her in front of myself and other customers. This place has good food but if the staff act like complete pigs it’s not worth it. Can’t believe these people have jobs. Terrible experience, will not be coming back. The food isn’t even worth it.

LOVE the fries!!! They have the best food in San Marcos. The staff was friendly and helpful. The guys in grey looked like they were having fun and like they genuinely wanted to be there. The restaurant was spotless which is extremely rare to find anywhere. I am definitely recommending this place to everyone I know. Thanks for the best restaurant experience I’ve had in years. I’ll see you guys soon.

Stopped in hopes you would have a veggie burger for a non beef eater. Settled for the«veggie sandwich»(only veg thing on the menu) which was basically raw green peppers, grilled mushroom, tomato and iceberg lettuce on a hamburger bun. Terrible, don’t do it.

How can you not love a place that serves consistently good food. The burgers are always great, as with the fries. The establishment is always clean, and there’s ample parking outside everytime I’ve been. We’ve never had long waits, and the staff have always been friendly. Overall a good burger joint for lunch or dinner. Also a great place to take baby since it’s already pretty noisy in there with the open kitchen, so noone will mind too much if baby starts to fuss. Love their soda machine!

I’ve been to several Five Guys and their burgers are all the same no matter which on I’ve been to. The meat on their burgers are bland and they rely on the toppings to give them flavor. You can go across the street and get a better tasting and cheaper burger at Wendy’s. The fries were greasy and under cooked. I won’t be going back to a Five Guys anytime soon.

You just can’t go wrong with a five guys burger and some fries!!! its been a while since I’ve had one but it’s still in my opinion one of the best griddle burgers made.

My first visit to 5 guys and most likely my last. OK if you don’t mind hearing some short little cook dropping the«F BOMB» for all the customers to hear. The burger was great. Reminds me of a SMASHburger, except 5 guys has no avocado for me. The add ons were great. Just wish the little guy could clean up his vocabulary. Maybe he is just starting English 101 at TXState.

I love 5 guys burgers but this place was horrible. I walked out after waiting 30 minutes for my meal. worst service ever. cooks walking around with their pants hanging off their ass. bunch of morons. their were only two other customers in the place and they were waiting too. I didn’t even ask for a refund as I was too pissed off. worst restaurant ever. I would love to give it no stars

Hubby and I finally ate there the other day. Not too bad. Loved that you could get mushrooms at no extra charge. Loved the fries. Staff was ok. Just took a while to get our food. When we went up to check, they had forgot the 2nd patty on my double. Loved the Coke machine. Whataburger is better.

Still very good burgers. The ability to customize is beyond comparison for the fast burger industry. The service at this location needs work. Slower than usual. The counter guy seemed incredulous at my order. He kept asking me if I understood that the«hot sauce» on the burger was supposed to be like Tabasco. I kept confirming this. At some point, I was about to ask if he understood that’s what I wanted. And while I love the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, it seems that every Five Guys stopped serving lemons with their tea when they installed these machines. Please, some lemons for the iced tea fans?

This is a good burger although a bit on the pricey side. The fries are the best in town and they are generous with the portions. You gotta love the peanuts although thanks to Texas Roadhouse, I always want to just drop the shells on the floor. :)

a good burger. and a great amount of options that really makes this place an option for me. I enjoy all of the toppings available and that you can get them in different amounts and also that every topping is no extra charge. The patty itself was good, not the«gooey» kind I see around too often. The patty size is also very balanced with the rest of the burger. I do not want a burger so I can eat a hunk of meat, I love the burger flavor profile with each ingredient in balance and this place does that quite well.

This was my second visit to a Five Guys. This time we made sure to share some fries and a regular drink. I got a «little» burger and STILL could not finish it. Their pickles are so damn crispy I had to take them off my burger and enjoy them one by one. Hubby got a hot dog with bacon. It was ok. Yes, they have a very vocal system of calling out orders and etc. but that doesn’t bother me. I guess San Martians have a problem with this but whatevs, get out more, people. The lady who took our order was greeting people as they came in and left. She also went to several tables to ask if we needed anything and to take people’s trash. That was cool so I think they’re trying to regain points in the customer service department. If it’s good for SMPD, it’s good for me.

No. No, no, no and no. This place has the wall decorated with glowing reviews and high ratings for it’s places in various other cities. I saw a Boston paper and a D.C. paper giving it high ratings in the burger category. Maybe in those cities they make a pretty decent burger. Then again, maybe in those cities, anything that comes on a bun looks like a pretty decent burger. The only thing this place has going for it is that you can get mushrooms and jalapenos at no charge. As well it should be. I paid over $ 6 just for a burger. No cheese. No fries. No drink. No kiss on the lips from Carmen Miranda. Just a burger. If the thing had any taste or flavor at all it might have boosted the rating a peg, but i could have gotten the same bland burger at Bikini’s and would have been served by a good-looking waitress in a bikini. There’s cheaper places in town to get burgers(like Mickey D’s), it won’t cost you as much and it won’t taste much worse either.

Lol, once again, San Marcos can have all the«good chains» they want, they just don’t have quality employees who give a d%$n about making the food taste good. I love Five Guys in other cities… just…oh, San Marcos… I was so excited to see we were getting a Five Guys, thinking, maybe when I’m hungry in SM I won’t have to cook or drive into Austin… alas… No flavour.

Have no idea what the big dealis about this place. Found it to be very over-rated. 2 burgers, large fries and 2 regular drinks $ 20 plus dollars. Buns on burgers not toasted and served cold, burgers were flavorless and large fries were just in a regular size drink cup! The place is very loud with cashiers screaming out orders, expo people calling out order numbers. If people don;t come up at first or second call of their number, then another person SCREAMS out the number till some one comes up. I have had a better burger at Garcia’s. For the price when I want a burger I will go to Texas Roadhouse, Logans or Centerpoint Station. NO I do not work for any of those places, just eat out alot in San Marcos. After hearing so much about how great this place is, I was way dissapointed. If you like this place explain why. Oh and location? Right next to a Burger King? What were they thinking, if I walked in and saw these prices and I had a family, I would turn around and go to the Burger King or McDonalds across the street. Maybe the college kids will keep this place alive, but if they really think about the cost and what they get…
