Food was delicious, service was great, but I must confess I was disappointed because I went to this place because one dish I saw on the menu online(Ravioli fritti). When we arrived, I was told they changed their menu 2 weeks before but didn’t updated it. Everything else was great.

Where do i start? I have been coming here since 2003 used to be so good. Now horrible! The last couple of times we have been we tell ourselves were not coming back but then we forget about the bad food we had and the bad sevice. So we try again but this was the last. Mushy gross over cooked pasta really? Dirty smelly glasses ugh. my sister used to come here but got sick last time she ate here on business… we had to pay extra for a pasta that is normally on menu. and then got stares from the owner and chef. kinda eerie feeling wondering if your food was spit in or tainted. Should have known no one at all in there at lunch time thats a clue you cant ignore. Hope this helps people in their search for good Italian food.

Wow! What amazing Anniversary dinner! Thank you Alberto and Gessica for making our dining experience so amazing! Love this place, the food, the cocktails and the specialty heart shaped pizza made by Alberto. Plus the over the top dessert with shots of housemade liquor infused with fennel seeds! #EyeRollingGood #Delicious #ItalianCuisine

The starting bread is absolutely incredible. Crisp, fresh, and hot. The vinegar /oil is to die for when in combination with the already perfect bread. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo for the third time because it is just so wonderful. I love the interior décor and the back patio. My only complaint is that every once in awhile you’ll get a waiter that seems like he or she has better things to do; but the amazing food makes that almost irrelevant. I definitely recommend everyone in SLO try this place at least once. Easily my favorite restaurant on Higuera!

We came here for some late night appetizers and drinks. The place is very nice and the service was great. It is a very romantic venue, great for a date or a formal meeting. They have a nice bar, but it is kind of small. The salon in front seems small but they have a big room in the back which is more private. We had their fried calamari and fried mozzarella. They were both very good. The mozzarella was fresh and perfectly fried with a light and tasty sauce. I have had better calamari but this ones are one of the best I have tried. They also offer complementary garlic bread. Place is very clean and formal.

Was in town and went for dinner with my mom! The décor is really cute and all of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The bread was definitely my favorite part of meal, I could tell it was freshly baked. I ordered the pennette salmonate, which was unfortunately very bland. My mom ordered the spinach lasagna and it had very good taste but poor presentation. I would still recommend this place, just don’t order what I had.

Cute quaint Italian restaurant. The outdoor is romantic and sits along the creek. The best Italian food I’ve ever tasted in my life. Our waitress was Italian and knew a lot about the menu she was adorable, made me feel like I was truly in Italy. I love this place.

I personally know the owner through my job. Great man. Great authentic food. It is now our«go to» for date night. Not bad pricing and you will not be disappointed. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend The Cioppino plate! Good service and always seems to have seating available

Great food even with the recent bad review by Emily L. Who was in at the same time I was getting food. If you think the food is awful. Why would you want to give it 2nd hand to anyone else. «Hey person, here is food for you. Don’t worry it crappy food I wouldn’t eat but it’s good enough for you». And after over hearing her try to talk her way to a free meal. Her review is insane. Don’t write bad reviews just because you want something free. Something free you even took home…

The fried ravioli was terrible. Over fried and no flavor. The waitress was pretty but never refilled my soda and did not talk to the manager about my lasagna which I was also disappointed by. Do not come here unless you just want to eat some bread. The vegetarian lasagna was drowned in marinara sauce. It was not good. The service was also not good. It took forever to get my drinks and then they were never refilled. I was not asked of I wanted more bread. While they did take off the ravioli they did not take off the lasagna even though I said I didn’t like it and didn’t eat it and then asked them to I guess box it up so I could give it to a homeless person. 13 dollars for drowned as a rat lasagna is not worth it. If you like Italian food go elsewhere. I would not recommend to anyone.

Not so bad to get 1 star, but not that great to ever come back. Vieni Vai is what happens when upscale décor meets Chef Boyardee – an intimate restaurant with nicely presented dishes, but that processed food taste you didn’t come out to pay quadruple for. The past two times I’ve come have been characterized by rude servers with a snobbish attitude. I know I’m a college student, but I’m still a paying customer at the end of the day… There are just too many other great Italian restaurants nearby that there’s no reason to waste your money on overly expensive mediocrity.

Very good service and food. We sat outside in the bank and ordered drinks. The soup was butternut squash. It was very good. For our entrée, I ordered the fiorentine pasta add my husband had the Chechen fettuccine. We both enjoyed our food. We ordered ravioli fur our daughter and she loved it. Overall I enjoyed the experience and they were welcoming to children, which I(like many parents) appreciate.

I’m a local. Did not know this place was here. Didn’t feel like waiting an hour and half at Goshis. Great atmosphere here. A little noisy. Sole special was fantastic. Servers were very nice and attentive. Pizza crust is great. We will be back.

I absolutely love this place! I went last night for drinks out front. It is one of my favorite spots to watch the hustle and bustle of SLO Farmers Market. P. S. And the food is awesome too.

Ate there for my first time in SLO, and didn’t like it. I think I didn’t take their best entrée(I ordered a Gnocchi Sausage, a special), unfortunately. It was heavy and tasted too strong(probably an additive to the sausage), I was expecting something else from a Gnocchi recipe, as I usually love it. The waitress was nice(she offered me to take coffee another time) but rushed me too much. I like to take my time at restaurant. Oh, and expensive for what it is($ 16 without tax and tips)…

Pizza wasn’t great, one of the the worst tiramisu ever, o n the other hand the Carbonara was great and good coffee. On a 60 °F cloudy day they had all the windows & doors open — I was literally eating with my winter coat on! We were waited by a lady that was struggling caring everything with her hands and insisting in not using a tray(but she was nice).

We ate here in June and I forgot to review, so I will do one for our November dinner last night. This time we ate out on the back patio. They were just wrapping up a wedding reception and we got to watch the bride and groom feed each other wedding cake. The service did not seem to be overwhelmed by the large party and we were served in a reasonable time although we had a bit of a wait for our skimpy appetizer. My gorgonzola gnocchi was okay, as was my risotto last time. My opinion hasn’t changed since our last visit: the place has a nice atmosphere and nice outdoor tables but the food is just okay. They do serve a nice pitcher of chianti.

Amazing service, Great food, & Romantic atmosphere! My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant and I had quickly read(on Unilocal) that they were closing in a few minutes but the waitress took us anyway! She said on summer nights they stay open until people stop walking through their door. So sweet! We ordered garlic prawn appetizers and eggplant. Our entrees were ciopinno and linguine with scallops. Everything was delicious. It was my husband’s birthday so she packed us free tiramisu to go with candles in the box. Thank you Veini Val!
