I got the chile verde. I bent my fork on a cube of meat waiting for it to shred or show any sign of tenderness. It did not. My wife and her son got carne asada tacos, all the meat was cold. Not good dont even bother.

One of my favorite places to treat myself. They have a good happy hour and great service!

I used to come every Tuesday for taco Tuesday and sit at the bar. In the last few weeks the bartender(reason why I came) is gone and the new«manager» has a serious attitude problem. She makes no attempt to even be polite and acts annoyed to even take our drink order. Will not be returning to taco Tuesday at this establishment– and will make sure my friends frequent another place instead.

Honestly I just show up for the horchata, which is really really on point. Though last time I was there I got the fresh bowl with chicken and was surprised how much I liked it. Tons of fresh lettuce, guac, black beans, salsa, grilled seasoned chicken. It was great. I should also mention that their refried beans are simply some of the best ever. The service is good and the inside is clean and I like the art on the walls and the décor in general is quite pleasant. I think this place probably get a bit crazy in the evening, they have quite a large bar, so I’d avoid this place then if that’s the case. But it’s a good little lunch spot despite the larger feeling of this spot. I’ve also had some really good cheese enchiladas, and their nachos are good too. It does feel a bit like a chain, though I only know of their one other location in Atascadero. I tend to prefer more comforting feeling Mexican food, but it’s the horchata that keeps me coming back.

We were from out of town. Checked the Unilocal reviews and decided to try it. Their website said Wednesday was kids eat free. I called to verify and they didn’t know. We asked our waitress when we got there and she went to check with the manager but never got back to us. We got the check and they charged us for the kids meal. Not a big deal but asked her she said she’d take it off. The lack of communication was frustrating. The food was very good. We had the queso dip to start. It’s very big and three is us barely put a dent in it.

The service is good but as far as the food is mostly a fail! I ordered crispy chicken tacos and they were super soggy! The Spanish rice is was drenched in oil leaving a little puddle on my plate. Never coming again.

The fish tacos were excellent, it’s easy to overcook fish on the grill, but these were cooked perfectly. Their tacos(the fish and shrimp at least) come with feta(or maybe it was gorgonzola) which i’m not used to on tacos — but they were good! The meal came with rice and beans which were fine, although the beans were a bit too soupy for my liking. The chips and salsa that came out before hand were good, and the salsa was flavorful. All in all, the food was good and I look forward to trying the other items on their menu.

We like Que Pasa for a place to meet up with friends and family. Our favorite dish is only available on Thursdays(chiles en nogada), a real Mexican dish. Wishing it was on the regular menu. I don’t care for their chips, they have no flavor and I would be happy to pay for real chips fried with real corn tortillas. Can you put those on the menu? Had the Carne Asada Brava(Saturday only) last night and it was delicious. Service is great! My husband thinks it would be nice to have one of the big screen TV’s show The Baja 1000 races and I would like to see some Mexican travel.

We had terrible service… During our meal our bartender/waiter left to eat without telling us he would be going on a break or to tell us who would be taking over for him. Overall very bad service. I would not come back. Very disappointed in my first visit here.

This place is not good. It’s not authentic and it’s not exciting. It’s also very expensive. Go somewhere else.

This place totally sucks. We walked by one night and it looked like a nice, clean atmosphere so we thought we’d give it a try for Taco Tuesday. What we got was this… absolutely disgusting tacos. The shells were hard and there was such a small amount of meat in them it was a joke. The chips were most likely store bought and not fresh. The food wasn’t fresh and we were so grossed out by this greasy kitchen, that we won’t be going back again EVER. GROSS.

Do not use your credit or debit card here unless you want your personal information obtained without your knowledge. I went here once in March, using my debit card, and i just received a card in the mail with a coupon for a free meal for my birthday. First how did they get my address and second how did they know my birthday??? I called the location and no one can answer how my information was obtained. I did not complete any form or questionnaire when i was in the restaurant on my one and only visit.

Went here yesterday for my friends 21st birthday during happy hour and it was really good! The fresh guacamole made in front of you on the cart was flavorful. It is made to order so you have options when choosing what goes in it. The house drinks are only $ 3 dollars and the other drinks weren’t much more. Happy hour tacos are tiny but three was definitely enough because they pack on the meat and it was very tasty. Shout out to Vianette our server because she was very friendly, new the menu and was informative. Also she joked around with us and made my friend a special drink for her B-day! I am giving it a 4 star review even though my experience yesterday was superb because I have been there before and didn’t enjoy it as much. Also, one time I tried to go they closed about 45 minutes early and wouldn’t let us and another couple in. So I was disappointed that even though the hours said until 9 they closed way before.

First, let me say that I know this place well. I used to come here very often and have tasted a large portion of their drink and food options. The fresca margaritas are the best tequila drinks in town and the Molcajete is one of the most flavorful meals on the central coast. Its essentially fajitas in a thick tomato stew, but the spices, queso fresco, and chorizo make every last drop of the huge dish worth scooping up. Make sure to get extra tortillas. If you don’t feel like being adventurous and awesome the regular fajitas and carnitas are also bomb. I’ve had meals at the bar with Freddie, one of the funniest bartenders in town, as well as been served tableside by many of que pasa’s young, friendly staff such as Luke, Myra, and Becky. Every time the service and experience has been great. Be sure to ask for recommendations and you won’t go wrong as they all seem to genuinely care about your experience. However, even if you somehow get bad service I bet you’ll leave happy as long as you get a fresca margarita and a molcajete.

I am not a fan of Mexican food at all, but the atmosphere here was nice and the steak torta was not as bad as I thought it might be. Thought the sandwich would come with mayo but it was a little bit dry although the steak and bread were good. The fries were awesome. Sadly the food took 40 minutes to come with only a few tables full at lunch time, and while the server was nice, the host had a pretty bad attitude and didn’t seem happy to seat us or get drinks for us. Bad for return business, especially when we’re a table of ten and trying to get back to work. Not sure I’ll go back here because of the slow service. Might try Atascadero though to see if it’s better.

Got a grilled burrito because it sounded crunchy and awesome. Unfortunately, it was a big $ 10 disappointment. First, the burrito was cut in half, so its contents were spilling out a bit. I’m not used to having my burritos served to me this way so I didn’t think to even ask them not to cut it in half. Second, even though it was on the side, I specifically asked for no sour cream. What did I see upon opening the to-go container? Sour cream. And lastly, the burrito was mostly rice and cheese. Hardly any chicken and only a small scoop of avocado on the side(next to the sour cream, on top of some shredded lettuce). It was edible but not something I will ever order again. I’ve been here in the past for their carnitas tacos and those are awesome though!

Darn it. I was certain this place was going to be a Mexican treat. I mean, when you first walk in there’s a angelic looking Mexican woman making tortillas from scratch, right there where you can watch her. How could it be anything but fresh and amazing? Sorry, very sorry, to tell you it wasn’t spectacular at all. Very blah actually. I ordered the wrong dish. Had to be the problem. But it looked so succulent in the menu picture. It’s not called a sandwich but it looked like a juicy beef sandwich with lots of beef; cooked to perfection. When the sandwich arrived it looked, and tasted, kind of like a Mexican version of a Subway Sandwich that got over seasoned and stuck in the toaster oven too long. I’ll give this place another try someday. I for sure should have ordered something else. But golly Beaver, if it’s on the menu. If they offer it, shouldn’t it be cooked perfectly? Well, I guess so Wally.

Man, oh man. I hate having to downgrade my review, but our last couple visits have left me no choice. The service here, while never particularly sparkling, has taken a major nosedive. If you’re looking to just pop in and out for a quick happy hour, expect to spend at least 80% of your time waiting — for a server to approach you, for your food, refills, for the check to come, for them to come pick up your card, etc. This staff would greatly benefit from a walk-up counter. I felt horrible for our server this last time, as he was also the solo bartender. I still think the Happy Hour prices are great — the Street Tacos are amazing, and Margaritas actually have tequila in them — but it’s becoming harder for us to justify coming here, knowing that it’s going to take forever to get out. If you’re looking for great food and are in no rush, though, I still totally give this place the thumbs-up. Also, make sure to hit Happy Hour early — if you come towards the end and your visit extends into the non-Happy Hour time, expect non-HH prices on your check. Totally lame. Just one more excuse for me to drink at home. Thanks a lot, Que Pasa! ;-)

Great Mexican food isn’t hard to find in SLO. It’s right here at Que Pasa! Thanks to my trusty Unilocal app, I saved the day with some amazing food and service. If you’re reading this, don’t waste another moment of your life eating unsatisfying take-out. Don’t cheat yourself out of fresh made-to-order tableside guacamole. Don’t wait another minute to crunch on the freshest chips and salsa in town and wash it down with ice cold beer. You deserve it! First off, the service was awesome. I forget our server’s name, but she brought her A-game. More chips, drinks, refills, questions, napkins — you got it. She was on it! I ordered the sizzling chicken enchiladas. Hnnnnnggg!!! These aren’t your typical enchiladas that your Mom made or Tia Chela dished up for the holiday pot-luck. These are two monstrous man-sized enchiladas filled with tender chicken, roasted pasilla peppers and sweet onions. Doused in an incredible chipotle cream sauce topped with thinly chopped fresh green lettuce, Mexican cotija cheese and perfectly made pico de gallo salsa. The side plate of rice, beans, sour cream, and fresh guacamole is like a whole ‘nother meal! My co-workers ordered the fajitas and they were in heaven the whole time. All-in-all, awesome meal and even better service. Thanks, Que Pasa! I’ll definitely be back the next time I roll through town!
